The DDE?

Can someone please explain to me what the DDE is? I know that we are entitled to it as pass holders, but I have never purchased it. We will be going in october and again in March - would it be worth it to us to spend the $50?

I got mine before my June trip. It provides 20% off most places for dining...many more than the AP discount of 10%. Food courts are not included with the exception of the value resorts because they don't have table service restuarants. If you are going to spend more than $250 in food, it will pay for itself. After that $250 you are now clear of the initial cost. I look at is as paying for the tip at each meal....unless it's a buffet meal because I usually don't tip at 20% for those.
Is it worth it? It was for me. I believe I save about $200, after the repay of the initial fee. This was over the space of two trips though. I will be using it again in Nov and then renewing for my Oct '06 trip.

The DDE gives you a 20 percent discount at nearly all restaurants including alchoholic drinks.I believe that once you spend 250.00 ,then the savings kick in. They send you a list of participating restaurants, so you know where to go.

Does anyone know if you can use the DDE on Fantasmic Dinner Packages?

Well I just ordered my DDE card. They said I could pick it up at EPCOT Guest Relations which is awesome since that is my first stop anyway.

We guessed we'll at least make up the $50 this trip and then save when we return in December.

My next question is since my AP expires in February and the DDE will expire in September do they ask for your AP and DDE card to get the savings or just the DDE card? I'm not sure if we are renewing our passes next year (we'll figure that out in February).
