Lynn - I don't really have much time to post this morning- but I wanted to tell you how wonderful I thought your story was this morning. With all the negative, mean things that can happen in this world, it is so great to hear about something pure and innocent happening. Yesterday was a big day in your boys life! I hope that you journal the experience for him, so that when he goes through the hard times that life brings, he will have this experience to look back on and remember.
Way to go mom!!! You taught him well!!!

Well, I think God is telling me not to clean today. I was vacuuming and I smashed the lightbulb in the ceiling fan above my head when I was trying to put the extension nozzle back in the Dyson's frame. Thank goodness Alyssa was nowhere near me and I am fine too. However, I did have a big mess to clean up.

No more cleaning...Grandma's going to have to deal with my dirty house for five days. :teeth:

Amy :)

Divine intervention FOR SURE!!!! :teeth: Glad to hear that you and Alyssa were not hurt in anyway. Now.... go play! It's obvious you're not meant to clean!!! :rotfl:

I want to share something that happened this morning but I don't want to offend anyone religiously.....anyway..........

My DS8....Alex....has asked the last couple of months about heaven and hell and being a Christian. We just plant the seeds and let him ask the questions. Well this morning he asked me......."if God has a plan for everyones life when they are born then why do some people still go to Hell".....well if that didn't open a door for me to talk to him. I explained that God has a plan for everyone but he can't make someone accept Jesus into their heart. They have to do that by themselves by praying the prayer of salvation. I then explained to him the prayer of salvation......admit, believe, confess..... what it meant and how to say it. He asked me if I could help him say the prayer......WELL IF THAT WASN"T THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY MORNING!!!!

I am defenitely on cloud 9 this morning.......I hope no one is offended by me sharing this with my DDA friends.

Lynn

That's wonderful, Lynn!! :sunny:

Really why clean before company comes? You just have to clean again after they leave...

Thanks be to God that no one was hurt, except the poor fan. :headache:

Hey Skunka, just wanted to let you know I was just fixing my breakfast and realized I was whistling Supercalifragilisticexpialodocious or however you spell it. :earsgirl:

So last night I told dh that I sure wished I was planning another trip. He looked at me and said, "are you insane? This last one put us so far into debt....." :earseek: So guess we're not planning anything for anytime soon. :(

Go ahead and plan one.....it's o.k. if it is over a year away. I have our family vacations planned at least 2 sometimes 3 years in advance. It is the only way we can afford. This year 2006 Carnival Cruise during Spring Break (we have been paying on the cruise since April 05).....2007 1st week in January at Disney (have 1/2 of my portion of the villa paid for).....2008 back to the beach somewhere.

I know it seems crazy but if I didn't plan this far in advance we would never get to do it.

Lynn

Amy - so nice to hear from you again. I'm so glad that no one was hurt! I'd definitely say that cleaning is out of the question. Gotta believe in those "signs", right? how are you feeling lately? I know you said you weren't feeling up to par, so I've been wondering how you were doing. All of my pregnancies were nausea fests. With my first I was so sick all the time I lost 40 pounds before the doctor put me on Phenergan. That stuff got me through all 4 of my pregnancies. I have a great doctor that says in this day and age there's no reason for a woman to have to go through morning sickness. She also doesn't believe a woman should go over her due date. Sweet!

Wow that could be a great idea - then she could have lots of different patterns and colours to match her outfits each day?

:wizard:

Sounds great...but I don't sew..beyond the ocassional button that is..I guess I should have paid attention in my Jr. High learn to sew class :teeth:

That's a good idea. At least it would give me something to look forward to! :)

I don't ever remember anyone making fun of me or having problems with them - the teachers were awesome all commented on how great they looked!!

Thanks for asking, Glynis. :goodvibes I'm still nauseous, but it's not nearly as bad as it was a few weeks ago. Strange things will set me off on gagging fests like vacuuming cat hair off the couch. :confused3 The weather around here has been erratic, 60 this past Sunday...40 today, so that's not helping my sinuses any. I am on a permanent antibiotic though for the rest of my pregnancy because my doctors found a bacterial infection in my urine culture and the first round of antibiotics didn't kick it. Better safe than sorry, right? :flower:

LOL...actually I only clean when we're expecting company, except for daily vacuuming, of course (we have a hairy black lab). :teeth:

And the fan's okay...it's the lightbulb that didn't survive. RIP GE 60 watt lightbulb...but I think you were burned out anyway. :rotfl:

yeah but its better then having the theme from JOJO's circus right. :rotfl2:

JoJo is Alyssa's absolute favorite right now...I think this will be her theme for her birthday party in April.

Feel free to help me brainstorm everyone...it's never too early to plan these things (especially since we have ZERO Disney trips on deck...unlike other braggadocious DDA'ers. :rotfl: )

Amy :)
