She walked right back in after the rose ceremony and demanded to know from him why he didn't pick her! Which in my opinion, had to have reaffirmed in his mind why he let her go....

my MIL called right before dinner tonight - she wanted to tell me something and didn't want to alarm me but she and her sister have noticed (independently of one another) that Julia has just stared off into space for a couple of seconds
so they have decided that they think she is having petite mal seizures. So I said - well I have never noticed anything like that and she says to me - well we do sit down with her and have independent play and one on one time with her - ***does this woman who sees my child every couple of weeks really think that she spends more one on one time with my child than I do? I realize that usually we have Nick running around but it still really upset me.
I went online and read about them and they say they happen 20-30 times up to 100 times a day - don't you think I would notice if 100 times a day my daughter spaced out like that? Luckily DH understands why I am so upset
my mom who spends WAY more time Julia says she has never noticed anything like that but thinks that out of respect for my MIL - I should take Julia to the doctor -
DH thinks we should be on the lookout for a few weeks and get an audiology test for Julia - as there are times when she will say to me - what I didn't hear what you said - she can get lost in what she is doing and there are times I feel like I need to snap her out of what she is doing to pay attention to me but not a vacant look more like she is absorbed in hat she id soing
does anyone know anything about these?
Glynis said:Most of all, just take a deep breath and reassure yourself that you are the best mom in the world for Julia and Nick. You know them better than anyone, and you need to do what you feel is right. All I have said are suggestions, and I hope they help. If you feel like what I've said is silly, by all means, toss it out, I won't be offended. Mother's have a special instinct when it comes to their children. Listen to those instincts and you'll be alright.
I hope you can find some peace with all this. If you need to vent, at least you have us, right? We are here for you.

Make her a tee with an alarm clock on it - and tell her to make scissor actions with her arms when she sees him - like she's a crocodile and she's going to eat him - then he'll be scared of her instead! (Saw this at spectro - one of the CMs told the kids to do it and Hook acted along - real cute)

That's what I want to be in my second life, 2 yrs. from now when I retire. And work from home.dumby said:Glynis fun fun. I love to plan trips. I always thought it would be fun to be a travel agent.![]()
I almost told Alyssa this when we were there and she was so afraid of the characters. I thought if maybe she understood they were just costumed people she might calm down. But I didn't want Nicholas to hear it. Anyway, I opted not to say anything at all, because I know eventually she will turn around, and when she does, I want the magic to still be there.Steffy said:AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! My DD did the same thing to my DGD! My DGD was afarid of one of the characters, so my daughter thought it would be good to tell her everyone was just in costumes. I was fuming!!!
I had to explain to my DGD, IN FRONT OF HER MOTHER!!! that when we go to Disneyworld the characters are real. That is the real Mickey and the real Cinderella and the Prince. Oh I was fuming.....
But the damage was done and it was never the same.![]()
When she was 3 on her first trip, we filled her autograph book! This December, nada. I was so mad at my DD!! Just furious. She also told her there was no Santa. At 4!!! Why?????? I just don't understand. Sometimes I think I need to go on Maury Povich and get the dna!!!!

Oh, Kate, if it's not one thing it's another. I would not right off the bat take her to the doc. I would be more cognizant of what you MIL has mentioned, and see if you notice it too. I think it is just that age, where they are so absorbed in what they are doing that they block everything else out. I know with Nicholas, especially if they are acting really wild, that I really need to raise my voice and call his name several times before he hears me. Or else he actually does hear me and is just ignoring, hoping I will go away.julia & nicks mom said:you know - my week just hasn't been bad enough and now this happens:

My DS8....Alex....has asked the last couple of months about heaven and hell and being a Christian. We just plant the seeds and let him ask the questions. Well this morning he asked me......."if God has a plan for everyones life when they are born then why do some people still go to Hell".....well if that didn't open a door for me to talk to him. I explained that God has a plan for everyone but he can't make someone accept Jesus into their heart. They have to do that by themselves by praying the prayer of salvation. I then explained to him the prayer of salvation......admit, believe, confess..... what it meant and how to say it. He asked me if I could help him say the prayer......WELL IF THAT WASN"T THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY MORNING!!!!
I am defenitely on cloud 9 this morning.......I hope no one is offended by me sharing this with my DDA friends.
