I've been very busy past week or so. There's no way to catch up, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone! Thanks for all the PMs. Hope y'all are doing great!

Hi Denise..............glad you popped in. I have a question for you. Didn't you say in the past you have used AAA for your reservations?? Would you use them again. I am thinking about checking into them for our Family Magical Gathering this December 2006. We are staying off site but I thought I would see what the could offer for ticket purchase and parking.

Thanks for the help!!!! Lynn

My 5 year old son had a problem with lazy eye last year, I was able to find a child's size "pirates patch" at Wal-Mart but he did not like wearing it so I called the doctor and he prescribed eye drops, we used them once a week the only problem with the drops was they his eye stayed dilated, but it must have helped because his last check up his eye had really improved.

I hope you find something that is able to work for her.

Libby

I thought about the drops...but she needs daily therapy...and there's less control with the drops. But if I all else fails, it still may be an option.

So I have awesome news!!

As you can see I am training for the 1/2 marathon next year - DH has agreed to go - he might train - not sure if we are taking the kids or not

My MIL told me yesterday that she is getting ready to book us on the April 28 2007 Magic

and we are going in December 2007

so the other night I said to DH - we should think about getting an AP - he said - there is no thinking about it - that is a no brianer!!!

No wonder I love him so much!!!!

You are the luckiest person on the planet!!!!!!! What I wouldn't give to have a hubby who shared my love of all things Disney. Oh well, I'll just have to take what I can get and live my fantasies through the rest of you. At least DH is supporting me in the marathon!

He also surprised me last night by telling me he's taking me and another couple (our best friends) to DL to celebrate our 16th anniversary. DH and I and this other couple got married 2 weeks apart, so we will both celebrate. Maybe he's learning to know what I like. You think? If I could just get him to purchase the AP's, I know I could get him converted. My brother lives just 20 minutes away from DL, so we have a place to stay on quickie trips when a hotel is out of the question. Maybe I can work on him this next trip.

I'm planning on making some anniversary shirts for us all to wear! Should be a ton of fun!

By the way, glad to see you back!

Wonderful news on the 16th anniversary trip Glynis!! :sunny:

From no trips in the planning stage to 3. I want to be you. :upsidedow . I'm sure that DH will be wanting to plan our next trip soon. When he reads this it may be sooner than I think :teeth:

Kristine -- your daughter is darling. I hope the other patches you found on-line help. My sister had to wear a patch when she was around 4. That's been almost 30 years ago, so I can't help with suggestions for patches/etc., but just wanted you to know that all that hard work paid off for her (and my mom, who had to plead with her to hang in there).

Here's patience and PD that you get great ideas and find just the right things to help out Kirsten.

Hi Kids!! Have you all been playing nicely in the playground??? We had an eventful weekend - its funny now, but wasn't then.

The readers digest version: Matt had a playdate on Friday and he is allowed to have the friend stay for dinner. So I put in some chicken nuggets and fries (Pay attention here - I don't cook). I go to take them out, of course I didn't use an oven mitt but used my sweatshirt instead (first mistake). I burned my hand and dropped the chicken. That proceeds to fall back into the oven, starting a small fire on the oven coils. I scream bloody murder for Skunka, who comes racing down the stairs, missing a stair and falling the rest of the way. So now I'm burned and his back is out. Needless to say, we had an eventful weekend!!! We need a break!

So send skunka some love - his back is a little better, but he's not himself. I can't wait to go away in a couple of weeks... we need some R&R!!

To quote my DD19 who is sitting her saying "awwwwwwww" and laughing... That is SO awful in a hilarious awesome way.

Get better, Paul! And Marti... keep away from the stove :)

Have you tried Lysine (it's an amino acid)? It works wonders for cold sores. My daughter used to be plagued by them.

Where do you find lysine? I think it's too late to treat this one, but I know the next will not be far behind. It's strange how some years he only get a couple and other years he seems to break out with them all the time.

Hi everybody!! :wave2:

I just have one thing to say:

GO STEELERS!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Sorry, Kate.

:scared1: What?
When I told my DH that I had to move the trip up 1 week to save nearly $300.00 on airfare, thanks to a ding on Christmas Eve that I saw 10 minutes before we were to leave for church, he just said ok. :confused3
Then I told him we would be leaving on Sunday Feb 5th......

All I can say is we are sure lucky girls, he probably rather be here for the game, but he loves to be with Asher in WDW.

I asked Kate to make a shirt for Asher with Mickey in a Colts uniform & it says: My Daddy missed the Colts in the Super Bowl to give me the World. Of course she only gets to wear it after we beat the Steelers this weekend. (Since then I have been messing around with PhotoImpact and Art Explosion T-Shirt Factory and just when I think I have figured something out... I find somethings else to sit and stare at, thinking hummm how do I do that? Is that in english?)
So in GOOD CLEAN FUN, I'll send you back...
GO Horse! :cheer2:

:wave2: Hi everyone! I'm here.....

As I told some of you, I'm reading along and keeping up -- I just needed some time away.

I'm still in Baltimore, but we're coming home tomorrow evening after Kyle's interview (FINALLY!!!!!).

I have a lot to share about this trip (as we're FINALLY drawing near(er) to the freakin' end of the interview trail)... it's been an interesting one! It's going to have to wait until at least tomorrow though, because I don't have the energy tonight.

I've missed you all, and can't wait to get back in the thick of things! :grouphug:

PS -- Thank you all for the PMs. I appreciate you looking out for me! My "good news" is MUCH less exciting than it has become. Contrary to what some have thought, there are no babies on the way to this family! :rotfl: It was just something we were really excited about that night, but it came at a bad time to share on this thread! It has to do with residency, and I'll still tell when I tell you all the whole story of this trip! But really -- it's not that exciting :goodvibes

Have a great night, DDAs!

Would anyone like a couple of shirts? I ordered XXL long-sleeved t-shirts by mistake, and didn't realize it until it was way too late to send them back. I have 10 of them, and would be happy to mail them out to anyone who would like them. Just send me a pm with your address if you are interested.

I usually buy it at the health food store...but I have seen it at: Walgreens, CVS & my grocery store...It's fairly common. I would suggest taking it asap..it has always shortened the duration for us.

Denise - It's good to "see" you again. I hope things are going well with the triplets. I've missed your humor. Hopefully, things will calm down enough that you can join us again.

Jennifer - Glad to see you home again. Hopefully, the trip to your actual home will be swift and safe! I am sending lots of pixie dust to you and your DH so you will be able to make decisions in your best interest.

Guess what everyone? My neighbor just called me to ask for help in planning her families first ever trip to Disneyland. There are 7 of them in all and none of them have ever been to anything Disney. I'm so excited. I'm sitting here with all my trip notes, putting things together for her. She really wants this trip to be memorable for her kids. Her oldest is starting Jr. High next year and the youngest is in kindergarten this year. So, in addition to planning my anniversary trip (without kids), I get to plan a trip for lots of kids. I'm in absolute heaven!!!!!!

Glynis fun fun. I love to plan trips. I always thought it would be fun to be a travel agent. :)

We were in a similar situation this past October with the World Series. DH is a lifelong White Sox fan and when we picked the days for our trip back in July we never gave the World Series a thought.... turned out games 3 & 4 happened while we were there (had we stayed home we had tickets for Game 6- which of course never happened). Anyway, with MinnieMouseMom's help I made this shirt for DS2 to wear- boy did we get comments galore on that one!!
