Mine are - I am ALWAYS cold - I can't get my kids to keep their clothes on - when I put blankets on them - they kick them off

now I might not be a good gage as my kids are both sick :rotfl:

everyone I know says the same thing

Thanks, Kate and everyone else who responded! This is the same child who hasn't slept under a blanket a day in her life. She wears just her fleece coat half of the winter and kicks of her stroller blanket more often than not. Seeing as how I can't remember the last time she was sick I know that I shouldn't worry. It just seems odd to have a jacket on when my daughter has on panties and nothing else. Crazy kid!

Hello DDA!

We got back late Sunday from sunny Southern Cal after watching the Horns win a championship, and then visiting Mickey's West Coast digs! The week couldn't have gotten much better for me! :teeth:

I've been glued to the computer the last 2 days trying to get caught up, and boy, it was touch-and-go there for a while - felt like I was watching the 4th quarter of the Rose Bowl again!! I'm glad to see that everyone has landed here and is happily setting up camp again. It's so nice to see everyone out to play. Hope you won't mind another one in the sand box - I don't bite or kick sand, I promise! :goodvibes

Hope you all continue to have great weeks!

Lindsay

Welcome back! Glad your week went well and that you found us all right! :goodvibes

I need some of that there pixie dust. Went to get my dental crown on this morning and they decided I needed a root canal. So I am sitting here with a numb mouth. They gave me a prescription for pain medicine and told me it would be sore for the next three days. Ouch. Anyway the cost is what is so bad. I have spent out of pocket already 700.00 for this one tooth and depending on what the insurance don't pay I may have to pay more. This is an unexpected expence and is really eating into my disney money. We go in a little over four weeks. Now I still have to go back next week to get the stupid crown on. Sorry so long just needed to vent. I think I am feeling better already just being able to share my unpleasant experience today.

Delinda

I feel your pain! I had my first one (of three) the day we returend from Disney and have another scheduled on Friday (the 13th.... anyone superstitious :scared1: ). My dentist is not putting the crowns on yet either, so we can take care of the other teeth. The cost is OUTRAGEOUS! :scared:

I asked that a few pages ago - Lynn responded it is missing for her too - after looking around the boards I see that it is gone for everyone

no one seems to know why although there is some guesses that it ran off with the server ;)

I had my suspicions about those two! Now how am I supposed to find Denise's new signature that is getting comments and Amy's post about the Jojo party! I have suggestions for her.

I am more of a reader than a poster but I thoroughly enjoy reading this thread daily, I think you guys are a great bunch of people and I could defiantly use some of your prayers and pixie dust this week, my 5 year old son, Blake is having his tonsils and adenoids taken out on Thursday, I know that he will be much better off in the long run but right now I am terrified of him having to be put out.

Libby

Prayers and Pixie dust to your son AND you! :wizard:

OK, I promise that I did read every post, but was using the computer in the bedroom with no paper nearby so I didn't take notes. I know that several people needed pixie dust :wizard: :wizard: and there were a few congrats. I saw some wonderful new designs too.

For all of you that were there for me during the Train Incident with my Dad, he had a CT Scan yesterday and everything is back to normal. He has been medically cleared.

Colby's face has healed, but he is left with a 3/4 " scar on his left cheek, actually between the cheek and mouth kind of following the laugh/smile line. Hopefully that will get better over time.

It looks like we are climbing out of the illnesses that we've had lately too.

Thank you all for your support during these difficult times. I really cannot find words to express how much you all helped me.

Deb

I'm so glad to hear he continues to improve! Thanks for keeping us updated, Deb! :goodvibes

I was just looking through the Disney pictures from my mom's camera and came across this one I took on her camera. It cracks me up. Looks like they're really driving. It's my dad and Stephanie

a lot of people are starting to ask - so I guess it isn't us

I wonder if it has to do with the server - maybe the searches were causing problems - I hope it is up soon - I can't imagine not having a search function!!

No kidding! I hadn't even noticed, but I use it quite frequently! :scared1:

Hey, everyone, I've got FABULOUS news! DH and I were talking last night and he is finally realizing that I'm totally serious about the half marathon. Anyway, he said, "If you're really planning on doing this, let's do it right. We'll celebrate your 40th birthday while we're there." Hooray! He actually is letting me start planning!

So, I'm turning to you, my DDA family for advice and suggestions. I need recommendations on where to stay (remember I'm a newbie, so the abbreviations go over my head), where to eat, how soon to make ressies, etc. Also, this is a very budget trip. We're still paying off my surgery, so we need to be a bit frugal. We'd love to stay onsite if it's affordable, but will go offsite if need be.

I want to start making a list of places to eat that you all consider "must do's." So, jump right in, I'm creating a file for all the great info you are going to be sending my way.

I'm so excited!!!!!

Yeah Glynis! That's so exciting!

Ok guys, I made 7 eye patches for Kristine's daughter. Here is a photo.

I also came up with this letter to send with it. If I had past and next trip dates I could make it more personal, but since Kristine's not on I don't have the info and need to get to the post office by 5 PM.

What do you think? Should I make any changes to the letter?

Deb

Deb, that is TOO cute! How sweet of you to make those, and write the letter! :goodvibes

JoJo is Alyssa's absolute favorite right now...I think this will be her theme for her birthday party in April.

Feel free to help me brainstorm everyone...it's never too early to plan these things (especially since we have ZERO Disney trips on deck...unlike other braggadocious DDA'ers. :rotfl: )

Amy :)

I can SO help with that!!! We are having a Jojo party for Terra's birthday in February. We're going to my parents in St. Louis for her birthday so it will actually be a double party for her and her cousin who turns 4 the week before.

Have you seen the Jojo partyware at birthdayexpress? http://www.birthdayexpress.com/bexpress/product.asp?sku=E2411
There are so many cute things that I'm trying not to go overboard.

I bought a set of the Jojo toys from the Disney Store to use with the cake. I think that I'm going to make a Big Top cake and put the characters around it. If not, then I'll make a cake shaped like Jojo and Goliath. For decorations I think we'll do basic balloons and streamers, plus I'm going to print out some "circus posters" to hang up.

I'm thinking about trying to make my first t-shirt and make the girls shirts too, but I'm not sure I'd be very good at the designing myself. I may have to throw out a plea to the talent that hangs around here for some help.

Our party is in late Feb so I'll post some pics or ideas if I think of any that will help you.
