Well, PM is on his way to Rees' grandparents wearing the tie dye shirt! Forgot to say the kids all made Tie Dye shirts at preschool the last week, and their shirts match now. They all three thought that was so cool. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool! I'd love to see a picture of the 4 of them together in their tie-dye shirts. Hope they have a great time at their grandparents. My kids always enjoyed their week every summer with my mom & dad.

Ok, my P3 is over. I'm off to clean the garage. I just can't get myself to work on the office the way that I should so instead I'll work on the garage. That is the only other area of the house that needs to be organized (besides Chuck's work room and that's his to take care of).

You just have to force yourself out of your comfort zone. Inside I'm exactly the same way. I used to stand in a corner but realized that I was never going to meet anyone like that and have fun. It is very hard and even after doing this for 30 years, I still have to force myself.

Since they are going to be your neighbors, there is lots of time to get to know them. They'll realize after a very short time that it is shyness on your part and not rudeness. I hope that they become great neighbors and friends. I miss that from our younger days. We have all been so busy with our kids that my neighbors & I only get together once a year for a neighborhood party. We all have 5+ acres of land so it isn't like we are close to each other anyway.
Thanks for the encouragement Vicki - I will be brave... I was thinking we can always offer to lend a hand when they're moving in and go from there :goodvibes

Well England aren't doing too well... Beckham off with an injury and Rooney just got a red card...

I just reregistered with TGM so I'm off to see what he has to say about my upcoming trip...

But first I'm sending some :wizard: to the team... Come on England! :wizard:

That's a great idea!

Hi! My parents just left. We had a really nice visit and got a lot of things done around the house. Now we have to settle back into 'reality'.

PD to everyone that needs it.

I like all the new pictures and tickers. I do have a question though...where do you go on the *************** to make the ticker??? I can't seem to find it.

ETA: Nevermind, I found it.

They're very clever making you register for their forum first... I wonder how many DISers will register, get the ticker, and then come back "home" without posting over there...

I'm sitting here on "pins and needles" - this match is crazy... just waiting for penalties... the last time we met Portugal in a big tournament it went to penalties... and we lost :sad1:

If I lived closer to Disney, you can be sure you'd have to watch out for this trip crashing DISer. As it stands, I'm a little too far away to make a spur of the moment trip to crash yours! :lmao:

Well, the garage isn't getting much progress but my breezeway closet is. I forgot that Chuck had stashed a bunch of stuff in there one day. I'm going through it all to figure out what to do with it. I did make a little progress on the garage until I needed to put some stuff in the breezeway closet that belonged there and couldn't. I'll get back to the garage yet today.

I always thought i would be the same way.
But I met another DISer that i talked to for awhile and i w asnt shy at all! She lives about an hour from me and ive gone to her house a few times and we always have fun

How awful of a DIL would I be, if I sold the Norman Rockwell plate collection on eBay that my MIL gave me for my birthday? :lmao: These are Christmas plates that she has collected for years. I don't display them and they don't have any special meaning to me.

She had given me some plates years ago that she had gotten from Chuck as he was growing up. I held on to them for years for sentimental reasons for him. Then I found out Chuck hated those plates. It reminded him of his dad yelling at him when he hadn't gotten anything for his mothers birthday or mothers day or whatever. His dad would then go out and buy a plate and make Chuck give it to his mom. Needless to say, those plates are long gone. I'm not hanging on to something that gives him bad memories!

I've kept some stuff for the girls hope chest. When his parents moved out of the family home and into the lake house, she gave us lots of neat stuff. I put some of it away for the girls at the time. My mother bought each of the girls a china set at an auction one year so they have that set aside for them. We have Chuck's mom's china set and silver that I'll be able to hand down some day.

ETA: Hmmmm. I wonder if there are plates dated the years the girls were born. That would be neat to hang onto for their hope chests.

Cool. She has plates from 1984-1991. I am putting the 1985 & 1988 in the girls hope chests without telling them. That will be a great surprise for them. Now I'm off to eBay to see how much I could get for them if I was to sell them. Not sure I will but I'm going to look.

Vicki,
When it holds that kind of memory, just get rid of it. Let it go. You are not a bad DIL.

Well there's hope for me yet :) I suppose we do all have Disney in common so we'd have lots to talk about... and I wouldn't have to worry about any of you giving my tie dye crocs funny looks :rotfl:
