Just had to show off my new signature picture. I love it! I'm trying to get the rest uploaded, but there's around 400! Kids go to John's parents tomorrow for a WEEK! OMG. What will I do with free time. It's going to be very lonely around here. Gotta go get them packed.

Anne Marie, Epcot was on my original schedule for that day, so we'd probably hop there as well. I don't have any TS meals scheduled for that day, so we can be flexible. I have a few days with no TS, because we are using 3 each on the 21st for Laura's birthday breakfast at CP and dinner at CRT.

I'm still back on something like 2750. I couldn't sleep last night so I was trying to catch up but then we lost electricity (for about 1 minute at that time) but the storm woke up Joe. Then we lost electricity again from about 4 am to 8 am as the storm got worse and woke up Emma then Lizzie.

Ann Marie-I was quoting your post when I first lost electricity. I'll try to go find it again. Looks like maybe Wednesday 8/23 would be a good to arrange something for MK.


I've got Monday off so maybe I can catch up here over the long weekend and with folks traveling maybe it will be quiet here.

Off to work on catching up (and uh...to actually do real work but everyone has already left....)

Me too....I ordered a rain cover for my Peg Perego Pliko. We've never had problem with rain on a trip before but on the trip last Aug with just Joe it rained everyday. I had a rain cover for my MacLaren daytripper and I keep going back and forth over which (even how many) stroller to take. I think I'll take just the Pliko because it is very comfy, stands when folded, and has a running board on the back for a 2nd child. I suppose we could have made due with just a poncho or something but I think the rain cover will get good use.

I also just bought a 3 piece set of Samsonite luggage. 25" and 22" spinners and a wheeled tote. I got a great deal at BJ's of $119 for the set - couldn't find a single 22" spinner for that online but I got it thinking the 25" was smaller and lighter than the biggest bag I have at home but it was exactly the same size. SO...I really have to return the luggage.


And...I've been buying Emma girly clothes that aren't pink. Not an easy thing to do. I know it shouldn't bother me and it certainly doesn't bother her but everyone last year (and at home) asked me how old is "HE"? I found a really cute Pooh skort/tank set on sale at Sears-that sort of mint green, peach and chocolate brown. I also found a really cute Pooh tank top at H&M. I'll have to take photos and post them. I had the hardest time finding her a beach cover up that didn't have pink. I finally found one that was white with royal blue and real sporty looking. And you should try to find undies that don't have pink-even most of the white ones have pink in the elastic. I found sporty ones at Walmart that were navy and lime green and all white at Sears. She's doing great on the potty.

Deb I found the Eastport bag at Walmart today at lunch. Thanks for posting. I found the last one without a price tag so I never would have thought it was only $4.74.

We could hang at Epcot longer or head back to Epcot. I think that Anne Marie is planning an evening in Epcot. We weren't planning to stay at MGM for Fantasmic that night. So if it works out for you and Anne Marie, pick a time, and I'll make sure we are back in Epcot.

I have penciled the Fantasy EMH in for Wednesday. I wasn't originally planning to do the EMH, but that looks like a good time to meet. Then we can head to a few things when the park first opens the other lands or hop to another park. Let me know if you want to meet then.

ETA: That being said, I'm not going to bring my family! My kids are all too little to enjoy "big people" time (with the exception of Katie), so this will be Mom's vacation. Alan wants me to go alone and have a ball! With his blessing, that makes it just perfect!

When is Mousefest?

When I told Joe about Lizzie's trip I sort of told him I would take him for a trip .... I know I already did last Aug but that was because I took Lizzie to Nantucket and to Disney 2 nights earlier than everyone else in Oct....SO...Joe's expecting another solo trip and I know he LOVES MNSSHP but my work schedule has shifted a bit this year and I don't see how I can take any time off in Oct. I was sort of thinking of taking him to MVMCP instead (if I can get cheap airfare...). I think I would want to avoid Mousefest wouldn't I??? I don't why hurricanes don't really bother me but the possibility of a snow storm here really FREAKS me out. And things get crazy around Dec getting ready for the holidays. I suppose I could think about taking him for his bday Jan 10th (he did go for his 3rd...) OR...I could hope he forgets that I said he'd have a special trip-I never said when....what year-I could take him early next May-I really LOVED that time of year.

But I have been reading bits of pieces of some sort of wedding.....

Anyway, I booked this trip from Nov 30 to Dec 7th so I caould do Mousefest. I made our Holiday Party on Dec 10th. I figured I was set. Mousefest here I come.

So when they release the dates, it is Mousefest cruise Dec 3-7 and then land Dec 7-12 with the Megamouse Meet on December 9th.

I can't leave for Disney until the 29th afternoon. I have to be back by Friday December 8th. So only a little Mousefest for me....

And I love May. I have the big family trip booked for May. Love May. My daughter and I already have our signed vacation slips.. May is my favorite time of year to go to Disney. So I might not get to Mousefest.... because I don't know when I'm going to return in December again. This will be my third December trip and this time I am heck bent on seeing the things I want to!!

For those of you near DL and in love with POTC. They have refurbished a Presidential Suite in the Disneyland Hotel to be a POTC suite, maybe we rent that next September? (can you imagine the price!!!! YIKES)

I really truly need to get off now and do my work or it's never going to be done at 5 and I'm never going on vacation!!!

I'm planning this trip like it is the only time in December we'll be going. I do think we'll get back again but don't want to take the chance. I think I'm going to book the Yuletide Fantasy Tour that was brought to my attention on here. I think that would be cool. I've been working on my plans when I wasn't working today (yes, I do work).

8/23 EMH sounds good for a meet to me. Or you could all book the Family Magic Tour on 8/24 with us! Seriously, I'm sure we'll find some time to meet up even if just briefly. By that point in our trip, we'll be fairly flexible.

I'm not sure if I will be coming alone or bringing Chuck. I think Chuck would have a problem with me leaving him home and getting to experience Disneyland without him. Then again, he might prefer me to go alone and learn what I can so that I can plan a couple trip the next year. We'll have to wait & see. However, I love kids so if people want to bring theirs along, I'd love to have them.

DH has said I am going alone for this one. But I am not aloowed to be gone for Bethie's 4th birthday (24 Sep). Also I will be driving so I will make a stop at the airport if needed (this can be planned later).

I'm currently reading the December forum on Tour Guide Mike. That is one of the things that I like about Tour Guide Mike. You have that whole section for just people going and planning for the month you are going. I like that the audience are people that are going and planning for the same time as you rather than everyone.
