I don't show when she was returning. She was leaving on the 19th and said she would be gone for a week & a half. I would say that she should be back any day now. I can't wait to see pictures of the Festival and the ceremony honoring her dad.

Great pictures Kate, Amy looks wonderful!(well you all do :thumbsup2 )

You sure taught your girls to be analytical at a very young age! ;)

I can't take credit for their analytical brain parts.... that came from Bob. They got all their beauty and creativity from me! :rotfl:

I just booked my mom's airline ticket for October on our flight, so it is official, she is going. :Pinkbounc John's ticket was non-transferable/non-refundable so he has a credit with the airline.

Thanks, Chanon, with your help on this.

YIPPEE!!! I get to meet your Mom! :goodvibes

Heidi glad to hear your mom is home :goodvibes

We went over Christmas in 2004. It didn't get really crowded :crowded: until the 22nd. We were there from the 16th to the 27th. Poly GCV. What a vacation. My son and his wife were at the WL. LOVED it.

I know that is why I want to show my sister WDW during this time of year... :santa:

You are exactly right, Steffy. The crowds pick up as it approaches Christmas Day and the week following Christmas is crazy. That is why we almost always leave on the 26th or the 27th.

We stayed at WL last year and LOVED it for Christmas. There are so many little nooks with couches and fireplaces to enjoy the atmosphere there. I would take my paper and my coffee out to the living room area near our room and sit in the quiet listening to the music as it came up through the lobby. It was absolutely heavenly. And then they opened WCC and all he** broke loose. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That'll wake you up in a hurry!

Monday - Going to Blossom, our local outdoor stage for their 4th of July celebrations...they always perform Sousa (spelling??) with fireworks and cannons at the approprate times.
Tuesday - Relax!

Chanon,
spelling is correct. that is always a treat when cannons are used, you really get the feel for the music.

Yet another update--

Ive had some PMs asking for an update..I went to the hospital yesterday and again tonight. I got to see him in the trauma ICU. He has alot of machines hooked up and everything..but he looked better than what i was picturing. He is still on the ventilator, and will be having surgery in a couple of days to do a trach. His fever has broken. The other injuries are still the same. They are basically holding off on things to see how and when he stabilizes more.

His daughter will be leaving the hospital soon hopefully, and his niece went home yesterday.

The fire department held a blood drive today and received 105 units of blood, as well as some cash donations. We are working on putting together some fundraisers to help out the family and it looks like the newspaperse are already reporting that and some checks have been coming in--thats going to be such a huge help to the family!

Thank you ALL for all of your prayers--i told them that i have so many people asking about them and praying.t.hey say thank you

yeah for his DD, and continued prayers for him

Hi Everybody;

I just wanted to second what Kate said last night about Amy's DDA baby shower!!!! I had a great time, and Amy looks awesome (especially considering she is giving birth any second now), and the gifts that everybody sent were amazing!!!! I think that Amy was SO touched by every body's generosity and SO very appreciative!!!! I was at their old & new house this past weekend helping with the move and I can't even begin to imagine how exhausted she and Kevin both are, but you would never know it!!!! That's why I think that last night meant so much to her and I'm glad she was able to get out and relax!!!! I also think that she was so happy to have a shower even for her second baby, I know that after all of the build up for the first baby you just feel sad for your later kids for also not having that prebirth recognition!!!

Kate and Jennifer it was really great to see both of you, I had SO much fun!!! I came home and read all but the last 20 pages of Kingdom Keepers, I slept for like 4 hours, but I was SO wound up, and once I start reading I can't stop. Let me know when things settle down and you all can come over for a cookout/swim!!!!

Amy has a Dr. appt. tomorrow and since they don't have Internet yet I told her to call me and I will give you all the details!!!

Have a good day!!!!!!
:goodvibes

So before I post the destructive pictures from the storm I want to post some from yesterday at Atlantic City. Boy, I have been posting a lot of pictures reccently.

Here are the fun fur flip flops I made, next time I am using a solid color or two different skeins or something as the variegated didn't end up an even pattern.

So the Server has decided it wants to be busy. It sure better be cleaning up the flood waters around here.

The sun was out today, but some of the major roadways are still going to be closed for a few days as they are completly underwater. In The City of Reading no one was allowed in or out for several hours. In areas you can't flush your toilet as they don't want you to contribute to the overflooded sewage beds. It might rain here again tomorrow.

Here are some pictures of the area around where I live. Photos are courtesy of my brother. I am considering getting up early tomorrow driving my car and then walking so I can see how over full Blue Marsh Lake and Dam is. It is three feet higher than the maximum height they created it for. It is a Man made Dam and Lake which they made to prevent flooding up and down the area but it is extremely flooded itself. If it wouldn't be there I couldn't imagine how bad it would be.
