Thank you for the morning fun. I am off to get a few things done for our friends DD’s viewing tonight. I still done know if I could make the service tomorrow, kids are just a bit hard for me yet. Would you go? DH is going, but I don’t know yet.

As hard as it is, I would probably go myself. I know how important it was for me to have my friends and family there when my dad passed away. I would think you would need them even more if it was a child. However, if you can't make it, it wasn't like I remembered who couldn't make it for dad's.

It's been fun but I need to get off the :surfweb: and pick up my house. Emma is out with her girlfriend Molly and Jake and Ty are napping and I have about a half hour left. See you tonight!

Gotta Go. Bec's has a dentist appointment and I still haven't had a shower today. Take care and I'll talk at ya all later. :lmao:

If y'all can stand any more posts from me tonight, I'd like to do an unofficial poll.

We're down to 2 names and I'm interested to know which you like better and how many girls you know with these names. I checked the popular baby name lists and they're #22 and #82 (out of 100).

Anyway, the two names are Caroline and Lauren. The middle name is Elizabeth. Our last name will go well with all of them. I don't want to post it here but if you can't choose without knowing, PM me :teeth: .

One name is DH and Christopher's favorite. The other is my favorite.

I like both, but Caroline a bit more.
That is the thing with names, we loved Guenna Kelly for our daughter but just refused to think down the road the confusion it caused and when she was about 8 or 9 some kids called her Iguana. It is pronounced like Gwen-na. The only time she was really proud of her name in school was when she was taking German. Her teacher was just gushing because it was spelled perfect and was pronounced Goo-na.
But when the guys would tell her how much they liked pronouncing her name that sealed the deal.
Just cannot go wrong with Howie (he is Harold III and DH is Hal and DFIL is Harold or Opa) and Steven

Well, the kids and I need to say
THANK YOU to the DDA !!!!!!!!!!!!

A big box arrived yesterday (thanks, Vicki). The bears are just too adorable and I love the swim suits! And the towels are perfect, Paula. I'm wrapping them up and giving them to the kids from the DDA and let them know mommy's Disney friends love them. Y'all have just gone WAY TOO OVERBOARD!!!!!!!!! I told Paula you need to find a new family to adopt as Rees is all better. We've got more stuff than any child needs!

I am serious about ceasing and desisting on the gifts and surprises. It has been wonderful, but you all have done enough. We are grateful, but it is time for it to end. You need to find another DDA family to start showering with attention!

Thanks again so much. Off to pack.

Ohio has some stupid laws on the books:
Your goose may not paraded down Main Street.

Thank goodness that law is on the books, or Kate would parade Mother Goose down Main Street, and probably tell Nick it will bite him if he doesn't behave. :lmao:

I just called DVC Member Services to add the Disney Dining Plan to both our October and December trips. I had to give them my resort and reservation number to do this. When I gave them the number for the October stay at BoardWalk Villas she told me that our reservation was canceled! EEEEEEEEEK!

I got such a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I had finally met WDW fans who were crooked. :(

Then it occurred to me that we were waitlisted for Beach Club Villas and that the reservation might have been switched so the CM tried that. And, I was right! So, not only are we closer to Epcot now for F&W Festival, but we get to use Storm Along Bay swimming pool again. YIPPEE!! :cool1: Lazy River here we come...

Now, a question for you DVC Members. Wouldn't the DVC member that I rented points through know that the reservation had been changed?

Congratulations Aunt Teresa. I'm jealous that you were able to be there and cut the cord. I'd love to be able to see a baby be born. Yes, I was at both of mine but I was a little distracted when they were born!!! :lmao:

Vicki,

I don't know if Stephanie replied to this already.
My DD asked me to be there for the birth of her son. So I came and also her MIL and we watched but turned away a few times. As Stephanie has said, it is a whole different thing and you kinda look at your daughter a little different. I am actually glad I did but will not for any more if that happens.
Since I had three C-sections, it didn't matter if I was awake or not.

Denise -- How did Brantley-Kate's recital go? I hope to see pictures as I catch up in the next hundred pages! ;) Edit: Oh my gosh!!!! She looks absolutely beautiful! Thanks for including pictures of the boys, too. I can't believe how much they have all grown up! Pal Mickey looks great as well! :thumbsup2

Vicki -- how is Chuck feeling? I can understand completely about him not lurking anymore (from both points)! Kyle said we talked too much, too, I don't get it :confused3 ;) It is sort of nice though to still have this place to vent. I hope you are feeling better, and please vent anytime! I can only imagine how frustrating it can be for you at times making accomodations for him, and even more frustrating to feel like you can't share it with friends! :grouphug:

Jen (blueeyes) -- I'm so glad to hear your brother's bike ride went well; it sounds (and looks!) like it was a really special weekend for everyone! I love the pictures you made for him with Alyssa!

Pocahontasfan -- (belated) welcome! :welcome:

Glynis -- how was DL?! Did the kids enjoy their time at your sister's?

Robyn -- :cheer2: for Emma's soccer team progressing! How are they doing now?

Jennifer (bear) -- are your wisdom teeth still giving you trouble? I hope you and Olivia are both feeling much better!

Marci -- what ever came of the bite(?) on your husbands arm? It sounds awful! I hope he was able to get some treatment and answers! And Yay Mavs! :cheer2:

Amy -- did you hear Denise about the water?! Apples don't count for enough! Are you floating away yet? :teeth: Thanks for sharing pictures of the house! I was waiting for them. :goodvibes I love the backyard, and the fact that the craft room and playroom are right next to each other! :rotfl: about the walk-in pantry. We have one of those as well (maybe not huge though), and unlike you, I could NOT help myself. We have pictures of it empty, of various people standing in it, etc :teeth: The places looks great!!!

Steffy
-- nice to see you again! As for MVMCP, we went on what was supposedly the worst day possible to choose, and everyone on the boards just gawked at me. Well, it was great. I felt like it wasn't crowded at all, and it was one of our favorite memories! Glad you are getting your trip details worked out. :wizard: for your tendon healing more quickly!!!

Kristin
-- where are you?! Come see us if you're reading, we miss you! :goodvibes

Clare -- your fuzzy milestone math just puts you right up in the ranks with Kate, so don't worry about it! Those numbers just start to blur after a while, don't they? ;) By the way, I'm going to pick your brain about digital scrapping at some point. My huge project for the day was organizing all my scrapping stuff. And the whole time, I was just thinking 'I finally got my scrapbook room (or half a room, but who's counting?) and I think I'm going to go digital'. But then I saw all the cute stuff I have.... and I'm just not sure. So I'll be asking a few questions, if you don't mind :goodvibes I also have to ask about your signature. Everyone mentioned the "you" in your new signature, but I think you've changed it again. Was it the "you" that is now in your avatar?

Beth -- I thought about this, but can't remember if I commented or not. So if I have already, you'll get it twice -- I love your new siganture! :thumbsup2

Lindsay -- are you back yet? I can't wait to hear about the trip!

Julia -- welcome back as well! What Magic sailing are you on next year? Rumor has it, we'll be on one in September.... :rolleyes1

Becky -- thanks for thinking of us! The sailaway party was not even cloudy! It was a bit before hand, but the sun was shining brightly for it! We had glorious weather except for in Nassau which was horrid! More on that later... ;)

Kate (and others)
-- Aww, you all watched us sail away! I'm flattered. If I would have known, I might have waved! :teeth:

Kristine -- thanks for sharing the pictures of Jonathan and Kirsten! What a cute family!

Baloo -- it's nice to see you pop in sometimes! Thanks for sharing the party picture! I hope you are feeling better!

Ok, so I'm not at all caught up yet, but had to sumbit that so I could stop freaking out everytime the computer would so much as make a noise. I kept thinking it was going to disappear! :rotfl: I apologize in advance for all the answers I'm sure I'll find, but this way if they AREN'T in the upcoming pages, you all will know they still need answers ;)

My "project" is not finished, but at a tolerable stopping point. So I'll be here for the next hour or so plugging away... hope everyone is doing well! :goodvibes

ETA: I just noticed that Vicki surpassed me in post count on here. Maybe I should reply to each on individually from here on out......... :rolleyes1

nah, too impatient for that. Vicki, you chatterbug! I suppose I won't try and catch up just yet ;)

Jennifer, Are you headed to Disney for the Marathon weekend?

I saw it in your sig.

Jim and I are signed up for the half marathon.

Definately go - think of it as a celebration of her life - I find it important to grieve with the family - not only for yourself but for them as well. Believe me - it will mean the WORLD to them if you are there!

Does anyone know how to plan an intervention? Vicki sent me a pm this morning that her Pal had started ebaying and had found a cute armoire for himself!!! :lmao: This armoire is cuter than mine and since when does a stuffy ebay? :rotfl2:

I am seriously considering an ebay/Pal Mickey intervention with Vicki!!
Only problem I see with it is I keep enabling it!! Tents, swimsuits, tie dying my hands (I mean shirts!!). :teeth:

Those are my thoughts exactly.

I don't really know - but it DEFINATELY sounds like soemthing for Dr. Phil

We could contact him - I would love to be on his show - I mean I would like to help Vicki get the help she needs!

And with it being so close to DL - we could head over there once filming is done - of course Vicki will be headed to a reputable therapy center - but we could still have fun knowing that she is in capable hands - and we could get some cute BAB outfits for everyone else's PMs!!!!!

Again....I love your thinking!!! Though I will stay behind the cameras for Dr. Phil, as I am a bit camera shy. :happytv:

I hope this works as I keep getting server is busy messages and am sick of dealing with it. So no smilies or cutesies as I am heading to bed, Have a good night everyone. I typed the rest of this is word and cut and pasted so I hope it is not terribly formatted.

I’m so excited, no more group home for me. Woohooo I handed in all of my stuff yesterday and today was the last day of my employment there.

Tonight was the flag burning ceremony, it went very well and there were lots of Girl Scouts and Cub and Boy Scouts. The Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts ran the ceremony and all of Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts were also involved. This is such an improvement for the Girl Scouts as last year the girls who attended handed out programs and had to sit and watch the ceremony. The Boy Scouts ran everything, this year the Boy Scouts manned the fire and were involved in the initial flag ceremony.

This Mouse Story made me think of all of you. We are already good at doing this but I want to remind you of how important it is. Sending hugs, prayers, pixie dust, congratulations, and well wishes to all of you.

MOUSE STORY

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife, open a package.
"What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered -he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning. "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The pig sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse,
but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow and said, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap-- alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife.

The farmer rushed her to the hospital and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's
main ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock.
To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral the farmer
had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it
doesn't concern you,remember --
When one of us is threatened,
We are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life.
We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

REMEMBER: EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY; OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON.

One of the best things to hold onto in this world is a friend. Thank you all for being an important part of my life. I truly appreciate each and every single one of you.

Becky,

That is so true. I am also very happy to consider each DDA person my friend.

Maybe we could all go on Dr. Phil

we could be on a show called - My DH thinks I am obsessed with Disney - we could take our planning binders, shirts, etc. - and take Dr. Phil to DL with us for the day!!

YAY Elin! I am :teeth: for you but :sad1: for me. I was figuring we would at least bump into each other somewhere since we were both in BWV.

Yes, the member would have gotten a written confirmation from WDW for (1) the new reservation and (2) the cancellation of the old one. Nice of them to let you know.
