Late April, early May. Great weather. Low crowds. Most of the attractions are open. I just love May....

ooh May would be good too... DH's birthday is in May...

oh the decisions!

I have until the first day of our 2006 trip to decide - we need to upgrade on day 1 in order to get our monies worth out of the passes... it feels wierd trying to price up and decide on a trip for next year before I've even planned our itinerary for this one! :rotfl:

I was thinking about joining AAA since I heard about parking passes that I can use at the different parks. If I join how many parking passes can I get. We are staying offsite and there will probably be about 5-6 cars going. Can I join AAA thru you or do I use someone locally??

Lynn
sent you a pm!

Just checking in...

Glynis,
Sorry to hear...my thoughts are with you & your Dad...very sad.

Kristine,
Congrats to Christopher! :cheer2:

Julie,
Hi! WTG on the weight loss!!!! :thumbsup2

Becky,
Happy belated Birthday!

Denise, Channon, & Amy,
Thanks for sharing the pictures of the kids!!!

Clare,
Later in October there is less of a threat of hurricanes so I would choose that time..nice weather. However the best weather we ever had at Disney was the first week of November..absolutely beautiful.

Tammi,
You have been on my mind all day..I know I don't "know" you but I have been thinking about you & the kids. I hope you do what Steffy says & stay strong for the kids sake. I wish there was more that I could do for you. :grouphug:

Robyn - I don't see rates coming out anytime soon for next year (everyone is hoping July). If you would like me to wait until the final payment date or refund now, let me know.

Here's my adorable almost-nephew!!

Chanon, You can cancel it and when the rates come out we will rebook it. We are thinking of staying at POR.

Your almost nephew is so cute!! :goodvibes How old is he?

Just had to share Emma's story for the day.. When she got off the bus she told me "something very sad happened today at school" I am a little scared as this was her last day and she was very serious looking. So I ask what happened and she tells me that her principal is leaving for a new school and she starts crying hysterically. The principal was DH's guidance counselor in school and her preschool teacher's next door neighbor so she has this wonderful connection to Mr. Jansky. When I talked to him about pulling her out of school for Disney back in Nov, he asked me if she needed a tutor as he would volunteer for the job!

Anyway, Emma settles down after a few minutes and then tells me that she will always remember Mr. Jansky as he " is in my heart forever" It was just too cute!

So if anyone sees any Donald Duck fabric please keep me in mind. I did see a tropical print at Joann's with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy, but I'm still hoping for just Donald.

Deb
Deb is 20" x 60" big enough?

WHat about this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Disney-Donald...ryZ71206QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem on the UK ebay but the person will post to the US.

He'll be a year old in the middle of July! He's got two bottom teeth in, with one on the top starting to show up! The jumper he's wearing is 18 months!!! EEKKK!

Lynn--your PM box is full...CONGRATS on the 5.2 pounds this week!

Beth

I was just trying to send a PM to someone and had to dump some. I was very excited about the 5.2 lbs. I came home and tried to get TINK to work but I don't know how I am messing it up :confused3 I am going to try again tonight when I get home.

Lynn

I just scoped out some prices for October and May trips... they look to be between £200 and £400 each more expensive than the first two weeks in November that we have come to love... so it would actually be cheaper to just buy normal tix and go in November!

Hmm looks like we might not be going next year after all as the APs were my sales tactics to DH :rotfl:

Oh and to all those of you who posted on the bumbag thread... guess what I just put a bin in on ebay... You've convinced me to try one out for my trip! :rolleyes1:

Glynis, the third postcard arrived! Thank you so much. They are all so cute. I'm giving them to the kids now.

Does anyone have any Animal Kingdom clip art? I can't seem to find anything decent...

HI EVERYBODY!!!!

I am so sorry that I haven't been around much lately  . I have missed everybody SO much, and I have been reading (as much as I can)!!!

Life has been crazy!!!! I think that the last time I posted was around Kyle's 1st Communion (which went SO great), and it seems like the craziness hasn't stopped since!!! We had pool put in a few weeks ago and OH MY GOSH, I don't think that we would have done it if we had of known how incredibly much work we had to do in the yard once it was installed. The salesman that sold us our pool was so vague as too how much we would have to do :confused3 !!!! But for the most part we have the work under control now and hopefully the weather will warm up soon and we can finally enjoy it!!!! The kids absolutely LOVE it!!!!

We just got back from a week long vacation with Dave's whole family (19 of us total in one house :scared1: ), it definitely wasn't as bad as I was imagining, and most importantly I think my kids will have a ton of memories from spending the week w/ their cousins and aunt's and uncle's!!! We went to Nag's Head N.C., it was beautiful, and very low key, it was truly one of our most relaxing vacations ever!!!! Our weather was really good but not terribly warm, we all came back with tans though, and we swam and did the beach everyday!!!

We are now looking forward to a short vacation in Gatlinburg in July w/ some friends, and we are already counting down to our December Disney Vacation!!!!

The kids are out of school for the summer  , and I am SO sad that I am now the mom to a first and third grader, where does the time go???? Kyle is tutoring w/ his braille teacher this summer, this helps him SO much to stay ahead w/ his braille work!!! I am incredibly proud to say that Kyle has been placed in the accelerated classes for next year, you can't even imagine how much of an accomplishment this is for him. We are SO proud that he has overcome all of the stumbling blocks associated with a person with a disability and is thriving and working above his level in school!!!!

I am still working hard on my diet and I have now lost 38 lbs. since March, but I haven't lost anything in the last few weeks and I am bummed. At least I didn't gain anything on vacation!!!! If anyone has any tips or suggestions I am all ears!!!

That is about all that has been going on here, I am so sorry that I have been incognito lately, but I truly have missed everybody and I promise to be back on more often now that things are slowing down!!!!

If anything major is going on let me know, I know I am out of the loop on a lot of things, so let me know!!!! For everything that I have missed though :wizard: :cool1: :cheer2: :grouphug: (OH YAY NEW SMILIES!!!!) :wave2:  pixiedust: :bday: :welcome: etc.etc.!!!!

Talk to you soon!!!!
Julie

Welcome Back!! It is good to hear that your life is going well even though you are so busy.

Glynis. :grouphug: :grouphug: To your family. Suicide is such a selfish act and hurts so many people.

Deb

Thank you Glynis. :goodvibes

I will mail out a money order on Friday.

Wanted to give you all the "official" surgery update.

The surgeon called late Friday night with the pathology report. It came back showing "Chronic Cholecystitis" Cholecystitis is an inflammation of the gallbladder wall and nearby abdominal lining. Cholecystitis is usually caused by a gallstone in the cystic duct, the duct that connects the gallbladder to the hepatic duct. Other causes of cholecystitis may include gallbladder sludge which is what the surgeon saw on the abdominal ultrasound. Chronic just means it had been going on for a significant period of time.

Here is a link telling all about it. http://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/uvahealth/adult_liver/chole.cfm

Rees has done so well this week. He never needed any pain meds and has been eating around the clock. He has a voracious appetite again. He is feeling very good and went swimming today and rode his new bike (for his 6th birthday on June 23rd) for about 30 minutes. You can barely even see 2 of the 4 incisions they have healed so nicely. He's a completely new child. We agree with the surgeon that this appears to have been the source of all his pain and GI problems. We are just so grateful that Dr. Wulkan figured out what was wrong.

John and I want to express our deep gratitude to you all for keeping Rees and our family in your prayers over the past 2 months. Your concern, emails, calls, and cards mean more to us than you can know.

I am looking for a couple of yards. I checked that out, but I think the shipping would be really high. Hopefully I'll find something around here. Thanks for looking though.

So glad the surgery went so well and has had such a positive outcome!! I am glad Rees is eating again.

You all will stay in my prayers, just like the rest of the DDA.

So glad the thick has started back in for the figs. No more thin for awhile!!
