I tried to post this last night but the server :badpc: :badpc:

So thirty five years ago, I was just being prepped for surgery. At midnight I felt my water break with a pop and started getting ready to go to the hospital. I called and said that the Dr. mentioned I might need a C-section. So my sister helped get me ready and we waited for my Mom to come and get us. As we are going to the hospital, they are arguing about whether my sister could stay with me at the hospital. Well that was the first real time I got so mad that I just yelled "Just get me to the hospital dammit!"
My DH was in Guam and they would not let him come home. Besides getting everything in triplicate, you gotta get some things in blood. They had first promised he could but then changed their minds. So he didn't get to see his so for another two months.
...
and that is how my month of June is with my 37th anniversary on June 7.

You have a beautiful family, Terry!!! Happy brithdays and anniversaries all around.

Hello to all of the DDA

Julia - glad you a had a great time on the Magic

Amy - love the house pictures

Denise - keeping Rees in my prayers today

and to everyone else who posted pictures. I loved them!!! It is always nice to see pictures of my DDA friends and their families. Now I just need to remember how to do it again and post some of my own.

My DS, Austin, left on youth choir tour yesterday. He will be back on Friday so ya'll remember him and the other youth members and chaperones in your prayers for a safe return.

Talk to ya later.............Lynn

Rees is out of surgery in recovery. The surgeon just came to talk to us. He took out the gallbladder with no problems. He also found a twisted piece of bowel that had adhered to the abdominal wall. We. Will get the pathology report on wed. Rees should come home tomorrow. PM went to surgery with Pooh bear and Rees. I'll update later.

Can someone post this on the disability board on my thread for Rees? Thanks.

Deb,
You have Steffy and I confused, she has the tendon thing.

Yeah, I wasn't the only one in the last few days! In my defense though I thought you were going to the shore together so I wasn't completely off!

This sounds like a job for the DDA...

This was posted on another list this morning:
When quoting Minnie Mouses's giggle would I put hehehe or hmmhmmhmn?

The woman is making invitations for her daughter's birthday and can't decide how to spell it on the invitations. I'm thinking hehehe, but now I'm even drawing a blank on how it sounds.

Faster fingers than both of us!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Julia is totally into us being "matchy girls" lately - she wants us to wear the same thing and do all of the same things -

today she put a bandaid on her cheek (totally unneeded) and then one on mine - I left it on for a minute but then told her it was bothering me and took it off -

she ran out of the room sobbing - "now we can't be matchy girls ever again"

I got a chuckle out of how dramatic she was being -

then she calls into me "Mommy - you are supposed to follow me and tell me to come back and be matchy girls with you again"

I was cracking up but seriously - I need to nip that in the bud

What is it about girls that need to throw a fit and have someone come after them and say "please don't go - please stay and play with me"

I am guessing since my whole life I have never played that game - I am not a good mommy for this situation - I always thought it was childish to try to get others to beg you to stay -

does anyone else know girls/women like this and know what I mean?

and any suggestions on how to handle this with Miss J?

I guess I have always thought it was a matter of self esteem when people do this and maybe she is just trying to get my attention b/c I have been working so hard this week -

Yay!!!! :cool1: This is fantastically, fabulous, wonderful news. Keep us posted on his progress. It sounds like things went well. I'm so glad you got a second opinion.

I'm sure someone else has already updated the other thread, but I'll check and do it if it isn't done!
