I am here but we are having major thunderstorms roll through. So, Emma is sitting on top of me afraid to go to bed. I hope they end soon. We are watching the Game Show Marathon :happytv: This is what Lance Bass looks like

I am going back to get caught up.

By the way, I'm glad to see you around here again! When are you going to Disney World in August? Bernadette and I will probably have some overlapping dates. I'd love to get a chance to meet you, too. We'll be there 8/12-8/25 (off-site the first week and POR the second).

Beth

No news on the loose tooth front. But the Tooth Fairy did get her $5 ready and is prepared!

When Emma lost her first tooth I was not prepared. It was late and we had no cash on us. So she got a golden dollar that the tooth fairy borrowed from her piggy bank. When she lost the second tooth she got $5. We are waiting for her front 2 teeth to fall out. They are pretty loose, but she will not let me pull them.

Wow..new smilies..

This one represents my entire life.

:laundy:

I am lucky as :laundy: is DH's job. He likes to vanish into the dungeon, the basement, and I figure the least he can do is keep up with the washing. Now it is my job to put it away.

Ok, I'm gone for an hour and you guys are posting fiends. I come back and there's no one here. What's with that??!! :confused3

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Silly! Lots of us have toddlers and young kiddos to get to bed! :goodvibes

And now, I also have to share the computer with Kevin. He's taking a "break" now, but he claims he needs the computer back to pay bills. I really need my own laptop, so I could sit on the couch, with my feet up! :teeth:

Amy :)

Anne Marie - We'll be there August 30-September 5. Where will you be 8/30, 8/31 and 9/1?

Keep it down tonight, will ya ladies (and gents)? I'm off to book club. This months book was The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. I really enjoyed it. I'll check in tomorrow, but I don't know how much time I'll have. I have to run errands all day tomorrow to get ready for our trip. I'm even trying to work in a haircut. We'll see how it goes!

Have a great evening!

You know, I always feel guilty that I don't do something for the middle and high school teachers. I'm not sure what I can do without breaking the bank and without my children's help (neither would take something in to their teachers).

Any suggestions?

Beth

Beth - one of my very favorite gifts that can be done for any teacher (that is liked and admired ;) ) and is virtually free is a well thought out and written thank you note. I am serious when I say they often reduce me to tears, and I cherish them.

Jennifer, how can you watch a ship sail by in Cincinatti? Webcam?

Yeah. I read a few different people's links on the cruise board. Apparently you can watch the Wonder and Magic dock and leave on Sundays, Thursdays and Saturdays. They have posted a list of webcams and when you watch to see them go by. I think some people are a little obsessive about it (ie every camera, every sun/thu/sat)... but it was a lot of fun to watch and know we'll be the next group!

June,

Aug 30 - MK
Aug 31 - Epcot
Those 2 days above may change to mgm because my little one wants to see the Wiggles which are supposed to be there at playhouse Disney..still can't figure out how they are going to get a hugely popular band like the Wiggles into playhouse Disney..the lines will be unreal..anyhoo...
Sep 1 - we will (unfortunately) be leaving for ME at about 2pm. We won't have a park ticket for that day so we will be hanging around SAB & the boardwalk. How do those days look for you?

I was just teasing Kate! :teeth:

Seriously, I hardly got any presents (for the holidays or the end-of-the-year), because there were so many of us! It didn't bother me one bit, because I never expected anything.

Honestly, the greatest gift of all is a thank you note or even a thank you letter that could go in the teacher's file. Those are time-consuming, but basically "free!" :goodvibes

Amy :)

I see we have the brain tonight, Amy...

Woohoo!! Thats so exciting!!! Is this your first cruise? We have never been. Since there is 5 of us it's just to expensive.

I'm pretty sure this one is new :tinker:

I've used the other one before. :)

Yes.... but you are apparently not the most up to date on locating the smileys anymore. This guy :sail: has been around since the last update!

:teeth: Funny I just posted about that earlier. Hope your feet feel better today. You zoo sounds nice. I love kangaroos and koalas. We saw them in a zoo in TX a couple years ago. The koalas were eating such a cute sight. Of course, now the boys want to see a panda after learning about China this year. Probably not anytime soon as I don't think there are very many zoos with them. :confused3

There are pandas at the National Zoo in DC, we even have a cub.
