Dh, aka Kitchensinkguy, is going to a Red Sox game tomorrow night. So if any of you get to watch the game he says he will be sitting in Right field somewhere around where it jets out His boss is taking 25 employees. They are taking a bus and the game is a 7:05 PM game. I'm guessing he should get back sometime between 2 and 3 AM so I should have plenty of time to DIS.

Chris thought the best part was that he had to (how do I put this nicely?) have turtle time 10 times before he could have sperm counted. He wanted to make sure that he had his follow up appointment quickly, so he was a happy man

Hi Deb!!

I'm here too. Have lots of pages to catch up on since I haven't been on here for about three days.

Speaking of the Red Sox, DBF and I rented Fever Pitch with Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon this week. Have you seen it? It's darling! The special features are great. They talk about how they were filming the movie the year the Red Sox won the Series, and about how they had to scramble to add that to the movie.

That was the best part of the movie! I love that they had wrapped or were close to it when the Sox started doing so well. Then they had to rewrite and reshoot pieces and make sure they were filming at the games so that they could catch the winning effort if (and when!) they did. At the very end of the Series winning game in St. Louis, the TV cameras showed Fallon and Barrymoore running towards each other on the field and kissing during the post-game celebration. I just thought it was cool that the winning season happened to coincide with the movie to make for an even better movie.

I received the letter concerning Riley & ADHD & it says that he is at high risk. So I guess now I wait till we see the Dr & see what he suggest. I just Want Riley to be able to focus more. I am really worried about him taking medication & what effect it may have on him. I want him to still be his normal self if that makes any sense.

I don't have personal experience, but do have a personal reluctance to medicate for anything if there is another option (especially with recent reports on the ADHD medications). I would highly recommend researching the natural and dietary things that could help. For example, I know that eliminating red dyes has been successful for some people. Also, I believe that cutting out or back on processed foods (e.g. boxed macaroni, packaged snacks, etc) has helped others. It might be worth the effort if it keeps Riley his normal self without medication. Good luck and !!

I have not worked at my group home job for over a week. But I am still employed there. They took away my hours again, but have been calling me to work elsewhere. I am sick of there games. I have to drive to the office sometime this coming week and hand in my notice as I have had enough. I have wanted to go before but haven't had the time to drive to the office.

While it is terrible that they have been pulling such stuff with you, I am glad that it's given you the impetus to hand in your notice. I am betting that life will be much more pleasant with that out yuckiness out of the way.

I hope everyone's Saturday has been productive like mine! We've cleaned the cats room (yes they have their own room!) finished 3 loads of laundry, dishes are washed and put away, back porch is clean, front lawn is mowed, the cement slab has no grass on it now, but does have the patio furniture and umbrella out now, garage is cleaned...i think that's about it! Steaks are thawing for dinner on the grill, potatoes are scrubbed...I'm taking a nap on the porch!

And was it the guy who plays Angel that you saw? Or was he shown earlier in the night I can't remember...

I am still perplexed by the Hasselhof thing. I have decided that if they guy I saw was anyone he was a ball player. I think that he reminds me of one of the Red Sox (or former Red Sox) I just can't think of who it is.

Wowzers! I have only managed to make a bigger mess, by having the idea to help Terra make maracas with plates, cups and pasta. Plus all of the paper we got out to color with and then all of her showing off after figuring out how to write her first letter - "T". I guess that means that I had better get myself into the kitchen and washing some dishes. I swear when we move we will have a dishwasher!

Thanks May 18thers for my postcard! I got it yesterday. It was the perfect pick me up after an otherwise yucky week.

I've come to the conclusion that I pretty much hate my job now. Plus, being stuck in the office for so long I am feeling more intensely the loneliness of not having any friends around here. So, we have decided that if not before then, that I will hand in my notice as soon as we get back from our Oct trip. I feel a little better knowing that there is a set time in the future when we will move to St. Louis and be surrounded by family and friends again.

Well, since I have been inspired by Chanon's productiveness (or am I feeling guilty becuase of it? )...I am off to work on my kitchen. My parents will be here in a week and at the rate my week days go sometimes I really need to get things mostly ready this weekend.

It is recital time! I did 14 last week and have 6 more to go. I cannot wait until June 5... I will have a few days off before getting ready for summer session to begin.

Thanks, Deb. I guess the first thing I'm going to do is see if the church and the hall are available for that date. If so, I'll hold it and then let my parents know about it, to see if it is something that they want to do. The only thing I'm leary about is the vow renewal. I know they would be up for the party! Maybe I could keep that a secret and if they agree to the vow renewal, let them think that's all there is going to be--small and intimate.

Does anyone know anything about vow renewals at WDW? We are all going the 1st week of May '07, so that could be an option. I'm afraid it would be very expensive though.

Clare - can you help me out on this? Do you know anything about it from doing your wedding planning?

Tammi - our ceremony came in at just over $2000 for 10 people including limo officiant violinist cake and champagne bouquet and button hole. I think the price may have gone upa little since. Check out the weddings board there's loads of people planning vow renewals over there and they're all very friendly and helpful

I CANNOT stay focused today

When I scheduled my test with so little time, I made a study schedule. I figured out that I would have to read about 150 pages of my review text a day, to get through it by this weekend (no sense in reading really in the last few days, I'm not going to retain any of that). Along with that, I'm doing 3 practice tests ranging from 100-200 questions each day, and a few more next week (in lieu of reading).

Well today, I've read 25 pages in about 4 hours! I keep getting distracted, or simply not reading. And when I DO read, I can assure you that I'm not really reading anything so much as "reading it" (eyes skimming the page, or even reading it out loud but it not making it anywhere NEAR my brain!)

I was so proud of the last few days, but today I'm losing it!

Sending you that you can get focused... I thought you had found some new smilies on the DIS but now I can see you've brought them in from outside!! They're kinda cool
