Those Pic's are awesome!! So glad you have a new grandstuffy to spoil!! :lmao:

Sounds like I may be the only DDA'er not going anywhere this weekend. I doubt there will be too many pages for you all to catch up on after this weekend.

Guess what we found after we got the DVD of High School Musical? A Piano music book for the songs. The girls were thrilled!!

Grandstuffy!!!! I love it!!!

The best thing is - it only cost $159 more for hotel, extra park hopper day and food (free dining)!! Plus I have that $20 credit with AirTran. Can't get any better than that.

Our town did a townwide tax reappraisal on all properties. We just were assessed 3 or 4 years ago so I didn't think too much about it. Our appraisal went from $161700 to $251900 :scared1: I certainly hope that the tax rate doesn't go up as drastically. They have no idea how the rate will change based on most properties assesing higher. The good news is that we have a ton more equity in our home, but the drawback it that it could really hurt the old pocketbook. I think I'll make an informal appeal that way I can go in and find out what criteria they used. My brother's house went up too, but we now assess higher than him and he has more square footage and he finished his upstairs and added a bonus room :confused3 Chris was psyched that our house is worth a quarter of a million dollars. I liked us assessing lower as we have no plans to move EVER so I'd like to stay low. :teeth:

Deb

I see a big tax bill in your future. I would definitely put an appeal in.
I would love to find that place where I don't ever want to move from. That would thrill me to no end.

Glynis, did you get your computer back or are you still using DH's laptop?

I got my computer back! Hooray! Although I do have to admit it was kind of nice to have the laptop and be able to DIS from anywhere in the house. Hmmm. Maybe I know what to ask Santa for come Christmas time.

And today's most amazing, generous, caring DDA is Dawn aka bengalbelle!!!!

Dawn sent us a 38 pound package filled to the brim with the cutest baby boy clothes I have ever seen!

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Wow, I owe you a lifetime supply of my famous cookies!

You mean that's what it takes to get cookies out of you!!!! If I'd known that, I'd have saved all of Jacob's clothes. Oh well. I guess my figure doesn't really need the cookies anyhow. As long as you continue posting pictures of them all decorated, I'll be happy.

Way to go, Dawn! You are a great friend!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Nick had his 4th grade band concert tonight. This is their first year and I must say that they have come a long way since September. He are a couple of photos of him before the concert.

ETA: I just realized that Hunter is the kid walking into the building in the second photo.

He is so darling! What a handsome young man!

Is everyone watching American Idol? They are about to announce the winner..I think it's going to be Taylor.

Ok, I missed AI. Jacob developed a migraine, and began throwing up again. I spent most of the evening holding him, cleaning up after him, and trying to get some aspirin down his throat. He's finally asleep now, and I missed the whole thing. Can someone PM me with the results? I could wait 25 minutes for the news to tell me, but I'm sure someone here will let me know sooner!

I am lucky to say that I designed our house. It is a very practical house that has 4 bedrooms and a greatroom which we spend most of our time in. We built 5 1/2 years ago. Chris has his own workshop/garage which he would like to add on to, but we have enough land that we can do that. The town that we live in has no zoning so we can build whatever we want whenever we want with no permits required. Can't beat that.

Nope can't beat that!! Hope it all works out with little effect on your pocketbook.

Deb, here's hoping that your taxes don't go up too much. Perhaps they will lower the rate a little due to the large increase in the assessment. I'm sure they will have a grievance day, so be sure to go. Around here, almost everyone who grieves gets a reduction. Those that don't bother, pay the full rate.

I'm heading to bed now. That dratted alarm will go off at 6:45 no matter what time I go to bed!! Nite all.

Well, we're caught up on American Idol and Lost! :thumbsup2 I'm sure glad all these shows are wrapping up, so we can finally start packing around here. :teeth:

I'm also glad I stopped reading the thread since LYNN announced the AI winner! ;)

We close on our house tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. Gosh, I hope we sell the current house soon...I feel so bad that Kevin is going to have to maintain two pools and two yards until we do.

Goodnight everyone! Sending lots of :wizard: and :grouphug: to your households.

Amy :)

I just scheduled my NCLEX exam for June 2nd! I wasn't going to be worried at all, but that was before I took 2 months off without looking at a single book or question.... and now it's next Friday!!

What was I thinking?!

I wish I would have studied more up to this point, but I really don't have much of a choice on dates to pick now, with the cruise, etc as well as some other things going on. I guess I'll just need a little pixie dust that the studying I can cram in will be sufficient! :rotfl:

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Here's a bucket full!

Ugh it's 6.30am!! I have to go get ready - leaving for London in 45 minutes! Might see you all later depending on what time I get home
