I vote for Bite Me. She would think that I was complimenting her parenting if I tried the other approach. She really thinks that she is the best mom in the world. I assure you she's not. They won't even take their kids to WDW :scared1: As they have been before and can't see what the hype is about. Their daughter has been with us and always teases to go back with us. They prefer to take separate adult vacations, usually not with each other. I just don't get it.

Deb

I have the twin of your SIL. When she comes over to the house she has to pick up something, move something, put something away. She can never just come over and sit. I tell her she doesn't need to feel like she needs to clean when she comes over but she says it is just a habit. She doesn't work outside the home......she stays at home with her 2yr old......she has plenty of time to clean during the week. She has no other activities. They have 3 kids and there is no sports, no girl scouts, no boy scouts, no after school activities, no church activities. This is the same SIL that complains that my boys are in too many activities year round. Excuse me but we have a life outside our home and I think it will make my boys more rounded and ready to face problems and the world.

Don't worry I personally think you are doing a great job and I for one believe that a lived in house is warmer and cozier than a "museum house".

Have a great day!!!!....................Lynn :thumbsup2

Are you kidding me? separate adult vacations? What is that crrrrap? I might need to think about this chick a while.
If you think that's odd, I have two parents that won't travel together. One will fly in the day before the other. Why? In case of a plane crash. Smart, but odd.

O.K................last day of school :cheer2: :cheer2: One son out the door and one to go. I need to finish getting ready for work. Ya'll have a good morning and I will pop in later at work.

Last day of school here is the 30th! I am so ready & I know the boys are too.

Beth it could be a tendon issue. I've heard they can make a loud pop when they snap. You might want to get it looked at. :wizard: Hopefully it is nothing serious. :grouphug:

Deb

That's what I was most worried about. We didn't actually hear a "pop," though. I just felt a little pop. It seems a little better this morning, so I'll wait to see for a few days.

As long as it's better by August. :teeth:

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! I am off to work, inventory day

Beth, this happened to me a week or so ago, only it was my foot. At first I couldn't put any pressure on it at all, then just couldn't walk without a limp. It sort of worked itself out after a few days and the pain diminished greatly after a few days. Here's hoping your leg will be better soon :wizard:

Thanks! I'm hoping that's how it goes for me, too. It is a little better today, so I'll make sure I don't stress it out and hope that it is completely better in a few days. :goodvibes

So all in all I thought today was a pretty good day in our house. I spent the morning catching up here, putting together the cub scout order and typing up Nick's Maple Sugaring outline. I also vacuumed through the house and got a ton of laundry done (tomorrow I might even get it put away). I felt so relieved tonight that I sat down with my family to watch Harry Potter 4. I thought the movie was good, but so much detail was missing from the book. Nick and I we constantly pointing out things that the movie missed.

So I spoke to my Mother around 9 PM. Apparently my SIL who lives next door to us and whose son I babysit was complaining yet again. She can't understand how I am home all day everyday and never get anything done :confused3 ***!! I get stuff done every day, she may not "see" what I've done, but truthfully it in none of her business. She also complained that we haven't mowed inside our picket fence and there is dog poop in there. Duh, Hello, it has been raining. I never asked he to walk through the backyard, we have a front door. She should use it and quit her b1tching. There are times we will be at one of the kids activities and come home to our lawn having been mowed. Mind you we did not ask and the lawn wasn't bothering us. Mom says that she mentioned the my parent's lawn needs to be mowed too. They mowed it less than a week ago. She is crossing a line and I will not be biting my tongue much longer. I don't want issues, but I won't be stepped on either. They have 2 kids and neither of them do any activities other than the oldest going to school. They have every evening and weekend to do things like mow the lawn. We are lucky to have one evening per week to be home. I feel bad for the kids as they really need to experience extra curricular activities. Ok, I'm stepping off my soap box now.

Hopefully Colby will sleep better tonight and Paula will hopefully get some sleep tonight too.

Deb

Way to go, Deb! :thumbsup2 I wish my day had been half as productive. What is your SIL's problem?!?! Someone has a little too much time on their hands. And how is someone supposed to mow with all of the rain we've had this month. You'd have to be lucky to be home the one day it didn't rain and then would be shoving the mower through mud to do it. I'm with you....Bite Me...sounds about right.

:badpc: Who doesn't want to take their kids on vacations? And separate Adult Vacations? Do they have separate Bedrooms too? :confused3 I could see taking a few getaways with DH but I would still also want to take my kids on family vacations. I guess everyone is different.

We travel without DH, but then that's because he doesn't travel. I can get him to his parent's when a holiday is involved, but other than that he would just rather stay home. He IS going to WDW with us in Feb for the first time! Of his own accord he said that is everyone else was going (my parents, sisters and all the BILs) then he wasn't going to be the only one not there. Yippee!!!

Why would I want to share these fabulous kid activities with my kids? Oh BECAUSE you nit these are what life is all about you nit! Not money or fame! You Nit! My children will know that I sacrificed for them; I gave them every enjoyment I could. I gave them the world at their young ages. I gave them more than “here is our house and clean you r room oh and have this lady take you on her vacation with her”. Pull your head out you nit! Life is for living! You can’t take money and fame with you when you die.

That is what else I might say to her.

WOW!!! I might have a few feelings about this… ya think?

I am beyond sick of the “you are just a SAHM” you have all the time in the world. Talk to the booty cuz the hands off duty! Get real you nits! I play, I do things with and for my kids, we make messes and some days it doesn’t get cleaned up. But I will tell you this my friend… I HAVE VERY HAPPY CHILDREN!!!! I am doing the best to give them more than I had and teach them to enjoy life because you don’t know what tomorrow will bring.

Off my high horse now. Sorry for the rant.:)

Yeah, What she said. :teeth:

No, they share a bedroom. She does a girls only week trip each year, either a cruise or Vegas etc. He likes to go on hunting trips. They usually go camping for part of a week with their kids. This year they are going for a whole week :lmao:

I agree. The funny thing is that their house isn't much cleaner than mine. If I didn't have 2 shedding dogs theirs wouldn't be any cleaner. Their excuse is that they work full time jobs. It isn't worth the headache of trying to explain that between taking care of their kids, working at the Restaurant and volunteer activities I work 3 full time jobs. I have learned to just consider the source. My brother does most of the cleaning and cooking in their house. She often goes away for scrapbooking weekends. I've actually heard him complaining that while she is away at her parents or on one of her vacations she will call home and tell DB and the kids that the house better be clean when she gets home. Hello, it was a mess when she left.

Deb

I'm headed out this morning. I have my favorite doctor's appointment this morning. I haven't been in 3 years so hopefully everything is still fine. I feel pretty good so all should be good. Hopefully they are impressed with the 40 lbs that I have managed to keep off. At one time it was 50 lbs, but I can't seem to get there again :confused3 I'll check in later :Pinkbounc

You'd actually admit this where the Queen could see it? :rotfl:

Beth

I think there are quite a few of us who don't fear the Queen's wrath! :lmao:

I hope everyone has a great morning/afternoon. I have a doctor's appointment today too. Last night, Matthew was moving around so much, I was convinced he was going to burst right out of my stomach. It's hard to believe he only weighs about three pounds and he's only going to get bigger in the next seven weeks! Dawn's comment was "are you sure there aren't twins in there?!!" :teeth:

See you all soon,
Amy :)

To all I promised stuff to.
I'm getting boxes & packing up.
I'm taking it all to the UPS whe I get it all together.
The latest Saurday.
I'll P.M you all with shipping.

Tell Ramiro not to feel too bad, the kids around here don't get out until the 16th either and that is as long as there are no snow days to make up.
