Day Two - Friday, May 19
We got up and were at Animal Kingdom at 8:50 and waited for the gates to open - I went to Guest Relations for our free EE photo coupon and Tammi and Kristine were going to head to EE -
They quickly joined me in Guest Relations - Kristine ticket had been demagnatized - (did you all put a hex on us?!?!!?
) and she had to get a new one - what should have taken about two minutes soon turned into about 15 - the good news is they gave Kristine a fast pass for her entire party onto the ride of her choice - so off we headed to Everest with FP in hand -
somewhere between Dinoland and EE - we caught the attention of a CM named Steven - he was very concerned that Kristine's shirt was not red like Mine and Tammi's. He seemed fascinated by the whole shirt concept and as we headed on our way - he saw our names on the back of our shirts - and got excited all over again!!
He was very funny but all three of us were glad that he did not end up stalking us through the park!!!
When we got to EE we grabbed fast passes for later in the day and bypassed the line which was already about 1/2 hour with the Guest Relations FP!!!
EE is awesome - I knew what was going to happen and Tammi didn't - Tammi liked the element of surprise - so we reccomend that you don't find out what is going on before you ride it! But if you already know - don't worry it won't ruin the ride!!!
We wanted to get our EE picture but the number disappeared before we got it and we decided to get it from our second ride later in the day - since we would know where the camera was and be slightly more prepared for the picture!!
We headed towards Africa and the FOTLK in the hopes that we would see Devine - but she wasn't out
we arrived at Camp Minnie-Mickey and had a little time to kill before the show so we got some pictures with Minnie, Goofy and Donald. Then we went in and saw FOTLK - which is one of my favorite shows!!
We then went to Pizzafari for a light snack and headed back to Everest with our FP - Kristine decided once was enough so Tammi, Pal mickey and I headed on for our second ride - this time we got the ride picture (I will post it later tonight)
In the gift shop one of the CMs loved our PM - she wanted to know all about his shoes and shirt!! I think the 20 year old guy working with her thought we
were a bunch of crazy old ladies!!!!!!!
We walked through some shops and headed over to OKW where Kristine and Marti were going to hang by the pool while Tammi and I went to MGM for Fantasmic - we dropped Kristine off around 1:15
First Tammi and I headed to Downtown Disney for a little shopping - I spent $320 on shopping requests for OTHER people!!! then we headed to Kona for lunch - the food was good and then we decided to head to the MK for a while before heading to MGM -
in the MK we walked around, shopped, went in Carousel of Progress and then Philharmagic before heading out to MGM
we got to MGM somewhere around 6:45 and headed back to the hat - where we saw none other than DAISY DUCK!! We knew she was rare and her line was short so we hopped in her line - then I bought some cars merchandise (this was the only place we saw it - which shocked me since it seems so heavily promoted in the real world!!!)
we walked back and went through the Narnia display and then headed back towards Fantasmic - we stopped and got some fudge and then headed to check out the Fantasmic line - although we didn't want to do in so early (7:45) the CM told us it was pretty crowded and that if we waited our seats might really stink later -
so we headed in and enjoyed an hour of chatting and people watching - and of course we LOVED Fantasmic!!!
Then we headed out of the park - while Tammi was on the phone telling her kiddos goodnight - I decided to pull out our photopass to remind us to write down the number on it - just in case we lost it - TOO LATE!!!!
The photopass was NOWHERE to be found.
we didn't panic but headed into the photo shop - a very nice CM named Jennifer began helping us look for our pictures - in case this ever happens to you - to find your photopass - all you need to know is one time and location where you got your picture taken - she searched but Daisy had an odd location number that day and she ended up calling Photopass Central to look for the information - we cracked up laughing when they asked us - what do your kids look like! We just said - we are the kids - although in retrospect maybe we should have described Nicholas, Alyssa, Julia and Nick to them!!!
Within five minutes the called back and we had our photopass number in hand!!! Although at that point I abdicated ANY responsibility that I had since I seemed to be cursed!!!
We headed back to the hotel - as we had an Early day on Saturday!!!
Music? We need no music to dance in this house.
