I thought your event was this weekend but I know it was not. I got a wee bit confuddled.

Also here is the other picture that was in your cleaning fairy message although it appears to have disappeared from that location.

But I really do hope that the fairies come to help clean your house. :wizard: I also hope they come to visit me to.

I love it!!!

Now I am off to Disney Dream Land.

side note: I can type much fast because of you all. Thank you very much for helping my typing skills.

Good Night all I am off to bed. This is the first Sunday night to Monday morning I haven't had to work in about three months so I am off to sleep. :goodvibes

What I've seen is that these are usually the kids that have a verbally abusive father. They see the mother get verbally abused by the father and start it themselves. The mother has so little self respect left after the years of abuse, that they take it!!!
That's just so sad. You know, when we got our cats we had to have someone from the shelter come and check our house and us to check we would be suitable owners... yet anyone can have a child! England is about to have it's youngest ever mum- at 11!! (the record was previously held by a 12 y.o. mum of twins!) the 11 yo was in the paper the other day saying how she still smokes and drinks... apparently she was drunk when she got pregnant?? At 11???? What is the world coming too :faint: :sad2:

I was really nervous the first couple of times I made them. Turning them was a bit nervewracking. Once you get the hang of it, though, it's as easy as can be. Easier than pancakes, I think. Plus, they cook a lot faster than pancakes.
So Glynis - do you turn them with a fish slice (or whatever you guys call that utensil that's flat rectangular with holes in) or do you give the pan a sharp shake to make the crepe flip over in the air?

Recipe, please!!!!!

The dinner/dance was fun! Dinner was lasagna, which was tough for me, but I scraped the meat and cheese from in between the layers, and really stocked up on salad. After dinner we had a cute show of Broadway tunes and skits, then they cleared the floor and we danced for a while to oldies from the 50's and 60's. It was really fun! I did have a few bites from desserts (which I dearly paid for later  ), but all in all it was good! I even got a new skirt and sweater for it, and when I tried the outfit on at home, the size 12 skirt was about 2 inches too big. I had to move the hook and eye. Looks like I'm not a 12 any more! Woo Hoo!!!!

:cheer2: glad you had a good time and :cheer2: for the size 12 not fitting either... although I have to say I didn't think you looked like a size 12 in your picture... you looked more like an english size 12 which I think is a US 8.

Keep up the good work :cheer2:

Count my vote for a DL meet n greet, too!

I grew up going to DL. Every August 16th on my birthday, my mom and I would go. My dad went a couple of times with us, but usually had to work. I saw Julie Andrews once there with her kids. She was wearing a big hat and big sun glasses and was across the toy bin from us. Mary Poppins was my absolute favorite growing up, and so my mom leaned over and whispered that there was Mary Poppins but I had to be very, very quiet since she was enjoying a day with her children at DL. Julie Andrews mouthed thank you to my mom and winked at me. I'll never forget it!! DL is so much more intimate than WDW, but I love them both. I've never been to DCA since they opened it after I moved away from CA.

That's such a cute story - I'm sure Julie Andrews appreciated your mum not causing a scene - I on the other hand would have got star struck!!

My brother was on the underground in London with a friend once and saw a woman sitting opposite him, he whispered to his mate that he thought it was Sandra Bullock, but his mate just laughed... anyway Sandra gets off at the next stop, taps on the window behind DB nods her head and winks at him!! How cool is that??

I just called Denise again and talked with John her DH. He said that there has been no change in Rees' condition. However, Denise now has a sinus infection. Between the Rees issues & the sinus infection, she is wiped out. I asked if there was anything we could do and he said just to pray for Rees & the family. I let him know that we are all doing that already and will continue to do so. I also told him to let Denise know how much she and her family means to us.

Thanks for the update Vicki - and here's a ton of :wizard: :wizard: and :grouphug: :grouphug: for Denise and the figs.

Well i'm still 10 pages behind but have to go get ready for work... :sad2:

And to make matters worse it is POURING with rain!!! It's May where is my :sunny: ????????????????????????????

Lynn, what company do you work for? My DD’s godmother is a loan officer and I hear her talking about this, that and the other. I am thinking of getting my loan officer license so I can work out of DD’s god mother’s house that is only 1 ½ miles from mine. And! Then I could work when I wanted and be able to go to the girls school events.

Home America Mortgage.............I have worked in the mortgage business since high school. It is a good career to be in although there are always highs and lows. I really, really wish I had a career in the public school system. Anyone with small children or planning on have a family I try and enourage working for the school system. You work the same hours as the kids and you are off for all the holidays and school breaks. You don't necessarily have to be a teacher. You could be a counselor, librarian, computer tech or cafeteria worker. But I work with what I am given......it just that after school activities and summer activities are difficult since we both work.

You've talked to my twin and I haven't!! :lmao:

So glad you all talked!! Does this mean Vicki knows the next SSP?

Pm me your phone number and I'm happy to call you sometime. In my SSS (super secret search), I wasn't able to find your phone number. I haven't given up but if you were to send it, it would be so much easier!!! :lmao:

There is such a thing as a conference call. Perhaps we should try to set one up, although I am afraid we will all try to talk at the same time. It would need some sort of rhyme or reason so our conversation doesn't end up like this.
hi they I Walt California snow fil a cupcake sleep ran turtle... insert random words we all talk about

I also wonder if Vicki now knows what the SSP is? :confused3

Nope, even the phone call didn't persuade her to spill her guts on the SSP. I'm still in the dark on that too. It was great to talk with her though.

Yes. I almost stayed another night. They were looking for 2 volunteers to give up their seats. I was the 3rd. :guilty: I could have used that $400 credit for a December trip! I'm sure the kids were glad to see you.

And it did not occur to you to hit one of them over the head and drag them into the bathroom??? :rotfl:

Glad the flight went well :)

Well I checked to see what discounts are available to me for DL, and this years rates were discounted between January and March to get an onsite hotel and a set of four two day tickets. So I'm go for DL! (And honestly, almost anytime is good for me except for the wedding weekends...but we wouldn't travel over spring break our 4th of July weekend would we?!)
