Chanon, I am baking the mini cheesecakes right now.

Also I would tell my dh just that, get up and fix it yourself.

It seems everyone is having a busy day. I did get to stop and relax for about an hour this afternoon. Now I just got out of the shower and fixin' to get me and the boys ready to head to the baseball fields. Alex has a game at 6pm and Austin at 7pm. I also need to stop in at my cousin's wedding reception party. She was married back in March on the beach and just now having the wedding reception. Her reception is the reason I decided not to go to Disney for the 5/18 girls trip. Now both the boys ended up being in playoff tournaments in baseball so I will probably miss most of the reception anyway. But I am kind of glad that I didn't go to Disney since I would have hated to miss their tournament games. Oh well..........gotta get the crew going. We probably will stop in on the reception after the baseball games so it will be a late night. I will check in with everyone later.

Lynn

Good luck austin and alex!

I came home last night and forgot to brag on Cassidy!!! (see what I mean :lmao: )

Cassidy had main parts to play/sing in three of the bands that performed last night (the other two were 6th & 7th grade band so they don't count :teeth: ). The entire 8th grade band has only 30 students in it (the smallest the teacher has ever had) so you can really every squeak but their rendition of a patriotic medley gave me goosebumps. She played the piccollo in addition to her flute in this medley. In jazz band she also had a soli...again I got goose bumps. The funnest part of the final concert every year is the final piece. Mr. Farrell is a percussion fiend and so he has the 8th grade percussion do a blue man group piece complete with the lighting!! Remember 8th grade band is small, so there are only 10 instead of the usual 20+ to do this piece. Anyway Cassidy and a friend were the girls who won the auditions for the singing part!! Quite hilarious to see my daughter up there in rope lights :rotfl2: . I love this finale!!

Done with what seems like my daily brag on my baby. :rotfl:

WTG Cassidy!!!!!! How cool that must have been.

You must be one very happy Mom Theresa!!!

Hi!

I'm two weeks behind on posts. But I'm done with customer events for a few weeks (yay!!!!!!!!!!!), so hopefully I can be on more frequently. My next event is at the Dolphin, and I'm staying at the Yacht Club. :cool1: Yay!!!!! No complaints about traveling for that one.

Will anyone be at WDW June 11-14? That's when I'll be there for my customer event. If you are, send me a PM (so I don't miss your post on here), and maybe we can get together.

Has anyone made a purchase on www.cheapestees.com? I can't find blank nightshirts at Target. I don't want to shop from an unknown site. People on here have mentioned the site, but has anyone bought off it?

TIA!

Jennifer

Jennifer- What customer events do you do? What is your profession?

Awww...you're so sweet Heidi! My mom ended up saving the day. I called her to ask her how to make chicken broth from the chicken I deboned (all of you experienced cooks do not laugh at me, at least not out loud) and she offered me chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, bread and brownies. Can you say carb overload :rotfl:

Yummy, though!

Dawn- I call me mom all the time on the little things, even when I know inside I have the answer, it’s just nice to double check. The other day I called her to ask if I could prep the scrabbled eggs for the girls breakfast the next morning (you know, add the cheese to the pre cooked eggs). Why yes dear she said of course you can prep the eggs the night before and it should make your morning easier. I felt a bit dumb after that, but it was fun to talk with her anyway.

Vicki, maybe I should tell you my next SSP, it seems that others can’t keep it to themselves even when they work it out of some one. :rotfl2:

You can't. Train him to pick up after himself instead. Also, train him and yourself to do a little of the cleaning each evening so you don't have to clean on weekends. You both work, so you should have your weekends free to do the things you want to do. Make extra food for each meal during the week and have potluck on Saturdays - then go out on Sundays or order in a pizza! Life is too short to be a slave to a house!

Good advice, June. It's taken us 16 years of being together to learn this. We really don't do more than 15 minutes of housework on Saturday's and then we can play all day long. Take the advice, Channon, it's really good!

I am now planning a BIG!!!!!!
Did I say BIG!!!!!!! SSP and I will not TELL any of you at all.

Dh took Riley for his eye appointment while I was at the game. He needs glasses, so now I get to take him back to pick out frames. This probably explains some of the headaches he has been having. I had to go to his school today & take him some tylenol. This should be fun seeing how long a pair will last before they get broken or lost  How old do children have to be before they can wear contact lenses?

I hope you get a pair of glasses that will hold up well, they seem to have good ones these days. Ones with flexible parts I hear. Good luck.

That's AWFUL! I can't believe your DH's brother doesn't believe they're responsible?? Are they angels at home or something??

We were shopping yesterday evening and on the way out a young girl (about 6 I think) was throwing a tantrum as she wanted to push the trolley on her own and her mum wouldn't let her - I was just saying to DH that her mum needed to control her better... then they reached the car and the little girl said to her mum - I wanted to push on my own you HCTIB!!!! From the mouth of a 6 year old??? When I was 6 I hadn't ever even heard that word! It didn't even look like her mother reprimanded her either :faint:

That's not only a hot sauce offense, that's worthy of a swat on the behind! My kids don't speak to me that way! Alan and I won't let them get away with being disrespectful to us or to any other grown ups they come in contact with. Unacceptable.

As for my niece and nephew, I think their parents are just tired of dealing with kids, so they ignore everything the youngest 2 do, and just shrug their shoulders. I hope I never become so complacent about destructive behavior!

Did I mention I'm lazy today?

BTW, where is Glynis? Did anyone give her permission to be away from the thread :confused3

I do believe Glynis now must submit a request to request being gone from the thread for more than 24 hrs.

What a cool idea! Not sure it would work for me though as we make our pancakes to a different recipe - they are actually french crepes and are meant to be wafer thin...

I make those occasionally for my kids! I love them sprinkled with sugar and lemon juice then rolled up. Yummy! Because they are so thin I can actually have a crepe once in a while. How do you eat yours?

Sounds like you are having a Saturday like me!!! No rest for the weary :)

Yup! I'm home for a couple of hours, so I'm trying to get caught up. The baking is done, all the errands are run, we've even spent a couple of hours at the swimming pool, so now it's me time. Alan has the kids outside in the garden, and I'm going to take a nice, hot shower, and get ready for the dance! Should be fun!

You all have been very chatty tonight however my computer is soooooooooooooooo slow. It seems fitting as my day has just been not one worth repeating. Nothing major in light of things that some are dealing with, so I won't complain, except that I went and got my hair cut this evening and I want to :sad1: The stylist understood what I wanted or so I thought. But when I look in the mirror I look like this  Oh well, it will grow back.

I am too tired to catch up now but I did want to send :grouphug: and :wizard: to Denise and Rees. Whatever he needs I hope he gets it and it works. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday.

To everyone else here is :wizard: :grouphug: :cheer2: to all who need it. Maybe my computer will cooperate tomorrow. Goodnight all!

I am so sorry to hear about your haircut, but yes it will grow back. I have been debating cutting my hair off. What to do? What to do?

The film was great!

I was a little worried it wouldn't live up to the book as I loved that so much - but it was good - and Tom Hanks was great as Langon which was another worry of mine.

They did change the end a bit but not so much that it didn't work. It's been a while since I read the book so I couldn't remember how it ended! I realised about 10 mins from the end though.

I liked it - would buy it on DVD - go see it :thumbsup2

I'm going to read the book again this summer too :goodvibes

Thanks for the review. I trust you, so I'm going to talk Alan into going this week. Maybe we'll be able to squeeze in a date on Friday. Maybe even a matinee while the kids are in school. It is our anniversary, after all. We should do something fun!

I worked tonight, came home and watched the season finale of ER. I can't believe the way they ended it.....Nough said. I was hoping to log on to get costume idea, but I didn't see any in the 15 pages that were posted since this morning. Denise gets more :grouphug: :grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: cause she can certainly use them today. Kudos go out to Paula for her SSPs. A big hello and Good Night to all of you. It's been a long day and tomorrow will be even longer.

Deb

Deb, I have no good ideas either, sorry. I do hope you got some rest.

Good Night all you sleepy heads!!

I wish my insommnia would go away....I think it's making me physically ill.

I want a whole night of sleep, uninterrupted please. :bitelip:

Oh I sure hope you got some sleep. Try chamomile tea or a hot bath before bed. What about a glass of wine and hot bath? (bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles)
