Well, it's official. I need to stop cursing. The Donald Duck in me uses a few choice words during moments of frustration (break out the hot sauce Glynis!) and tonight, when Alyssa couldn't fit the crayons back in the box, well, she used one of those words...about six times before I realized what she was saying. Actually, Kevin picked up on it first, and since he swears once every two years, you know who got the blame.

Please, can I still swear here? ;)

Amy :)

Enjoy your weekend with dh!

DH is home for two nights and will be back to school on Sunday for four more days. :Pinkbounc

The he should be home for at least a few weeks to a month before he is gone again.

Good Night Janet!!

Hope you have a great weekend.

Good night all my DDA friends and

we'll see all of you in the morning, or later today I should say. :teeth:

Our 1st time at Pop was last year in Feb. We stayed 11 nights & there were 4 of us in the room. We really enjoyed our stay there. The room was plenty big enough for us. I had originally booked Pop for our upcoming trip, but decided to surprise the boys with AKL.

PC is a little loud with all the icons, but I like them. Both times I have stayed here I have requested the 50's building. It is very close to the buses & the foodcourt. Another good thing about PC is they do not share buses. I think you will enjoy your stay here :goodvibes

...and you guys are NO HELP with hotel picking!!! But I looked at more pictures of Pop Century and have decided that I'm staying with Pop. Of course, I can still modify my reservation up until departure day, based on availability.

Congrats on the win!

Have fun and shhhhhhhhhh! don't tell anyone but I have never in my grownup life have ever been in a bar. :teeth:

You will have to come visit me then. The bar that I work at is part of a restaurant so it isn't really a bar bar per se, but I found a few tonight. The funny thing is I ended up bartending all night which I didn't think would happen and was the last to get off work so everyone else had already started drinking. We took my van because it hold 7 and headed to the first bar. I could tell I was too old for this partying stuff because the band sucked and was waaaaayyyyy to loud. We had a couple of drinks and a shot there then decided to go to another bar. One of my coworkers was drinking soda so she drove us to bar #2. We met another girl that bartends there and she got us all in with no cover charge  . By then I had lost my buzz from the previous bar and had decided not to drink as I would need to deal with my kids at some point in the morning. Did I mention that bar #2 has strippers? They took off everything except the panties. I was totally not impressed and neither was Chris. At one point he commented "is it a bad thing when I'm in a nudy bar watching the Red Sox game?" :lmao: :lmao: So after a couple of shots/drinks there we moved on to bar #3 which in my opinion was going to be another waste of time, but the birthday girl really wanted to go there as last call was an hour later. We got to bar #3 to find out that they had given last call 15 minutes earlier :confused3 We had even called twice, but they still wouldn't serve us so I drove everyone home. Chris was feeling pretty good so he needed some Turtle Time which was to be expected as we actually went out and had no kids tonight. So now he is sleeping and I am DISing, hoping to get tired soon. Oh What a Night.

Absolutely. I also curse a bit too much and Chris is always pointing it out to me. Lately Colby (3 yr old) has been saying OH SNAP whenever anything goes wrong. So I asked him what it meant. He simply replied it means Damn It Mom. :rotfl: :rotfl: I knew he was using it in the right context, but had no idea what he thought it meant. I quietly told him that using Oh Snap would be just fine

Since we are still on the topic of "disciplining" children...

Did anyone else's parents have a set of a HUGE wooden spoon and fork hanging in their orange and yellow 70's kitchen?

Do you mean the ones that hang in Raymond's Mother's kitchen in Everybody loves Raymond? Yeah, we didn't have those :rotfl2:

Deb

So what am I to do now? It's 3 AM, I'm not sleepy and you are all sleeping. Does that ever happen? Clare are you up yet? I guess I should try to get some shut eye. I'm sure my parents will bring the kids home bright and early in the morning.

Amy, I'm back on page 2195, so I don't know if you got an answer or not, but I don't have a green thumb either, and I always have good luck with Petunias. They come in a variety of colors, don't require much care, are good in sunlight. All you have to do is water them, and "deadhead" them once in awhile (gently pull the dried up flowers out of the stem - lots more will grow back).

Morning y'all

Just wanted to let you all know that on this side of the ocean we say we have green fingers... rather than green thumbs! Just another little lesson for us all :teacher: :goodvibes

Right got to go run some errands now... the exchange rate is good so I bought some $ for our Nov trip... off to the bank to pick them up :thumbsup2

Yeah, who knows. :confused3 I actually let it go, have been and plan on continuing to enjoy myself ...

-- and he's still totally in a funk. Geek.

Whatever! We just had a fantastic dinner, now we're getting ready to play one game of ESPN Scene It with my mom and sister (hey, we play Disney lots of times... I figure he can do this one this one day ;) ) and then I think I'm calling it a night. Hopefully 'everyone' will wake up on the right side of the bed tomorrow! :rolleyes1

I think I missed the reason for the funk but here's hoping everyone woke up :sunny: side up this morning :grouphug:

Now I really gotta go

Good morning everyone,

I've had a respiratory infection and haven't been feeling well so I haven't posted much the past few days, the meds are starting to kick in finally.

Reading through the posts my prayers go out to the Figs and little Rees,
hope those at the World right now a having a wonderful time, Amy I'm glad to
hear all is well with you and baby Matthew.

Congratulations on finishing your assignments Clare, I love your "accent" in your posts. I'm guessing a "tip" is what we call the dump?

Best wishes and or congrats to the rest of you, my goal today is to get the
invitations printed and in the mail for my daughter's reception, I'm still open for any suggestions or recipes.

Have a great weekend,

Debbie :wave2:

You all have been very chatty tonight however my computer is soooooooooooooooo slow. It seems fitting as my day has just been not one worth repeating. Nothing major in light of things that some are dealing with, so I won't complain, except that I went and got my hair cut this evening and I want to :sad1: The stylist understood what I wanted or so I thought. But when I look in the mirror I look like this  Oh well, it will grow back.

I am too tired to catch up now but I did want to send :grouphug: and :wizard: to Denise and Rees. Whatever he needs I hope he gets it and it works. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday.

To everyone else here is :wizard: :grouphug: :cheer2: to all who need it. Maybe my computer will cooperate tomorrow. Goodnight all!

:wizard: Robyn - I hate scary hair cuts, hopefully once you've washed it and styled it yourself it will settle and you'll like it better :wizard:

On another side note, I had to share this too!
I've been doing alot of reservations for the free dining this fall. I've just noticed on the confirmations that are faxed to me that Disney has put a new saying/warning...
"All guests must be present during checkin to qualify for the free dining or your reservation will be subject to change." or something along those lines.
Apparently, some people have been "asking questions" about bringing 4 and only 2 show up...the second set of tickets wouldn't expire, and the two people would have extra dining credits. Geezz...who thinks this stuff up??
 we'd struggle to eat all of the dining credits for 2 people... but 4 people's worth????? Some people just love to test the system don't they... and then ruin it for everyone when Disney makes such a big loss they have to pull it!!

Deb..i thought the same thing about the ending!

Jen I started watching season one of Grey's Anatomy and I'm hooked! Got through three episodes in a row while ironing on Thursday! Was going to do another marathon this afternoon but DH's cricket match has been cancelled so we're gonna see DaVinci code at the movies instead
