Well Cassidy would agree with you!! I think she wanted to tape me to the car seat tonight so I wouldn't "dance".....who exactly is going to see us and remember us on the highway? :confused3

Yeah, they complain about you dancing when they are that age. Then when they get to be my kids age, they complain because you don't dance with them. I guess they get used to you being nuts and enjoy it after awhile!!!! :lmao:

This is so nice of you! Make sure you save some stuff if any of it is special to make your new place feel like home right away! :goodvibes

Not to worry I have any & all I will ever need.
I still have quite a bit for myself.
I have come to the understanding with myself.
That I really don't need 40 pictures of Disney art in every room.
I hate to admit it, but this was true to fact in my house.
New rule 4 per room.
Nick nacks that's another story.

So here's you alls chance to snag somethings.
For some reason this just feels right to pass it along this way.

Vicki, maybe I should tell you my next SSP, it seems that others can’t keep it to themselves even when they work it out of some one. :rotfl2:

If you tell me any SSP's, I promise to keep it secret! :lmao:

I need to run some errands.
Catch ya all later.
Yes my offer is for real.
I will answer all P.M's as my time allows.
Later.

We were shopping yesterday evening and on the way out a young girl (about 6 I think) was throwing a tantrum as she wanted to push the trolley on her own and her mum wouldn't let her - I was just saying to DH that her mum needed to control her better... then they reached the car and the little girl said to her mum - I wanted to push on my own you HCTIB!!!! From the mouth of a 6 year old??? When I was 6 I hadn't ever even heard that word! It didn't even look like her mother reprimanded her either :faint:

What I've seen is that these are usually the kids that have a verbally abusive father. They see the mother get verbally abused by the father and start it themselves. The mother has so little self respect left after the years of abuse, that they take it!!!

Question?

SO this BIG DDA meet in `07….. why can’t it be DL? Most of you have not been to DL and the few of us that have could show you around.

I think we should start a poll/log/list/cluster of letters and words to decide when and where.

Then we all take turns planning something……eating reservations, room reservations (by the way some suites can hold a lot of folks at a good price), scheduling show times, blah blah blah.

I'm happy to make it DisneyLand. A DDA meet would be wonderful anywhere!!!!

I feel so loved!!! I will promise to tell someone when I'm going to be gone! Now that my computer is fixed, I shouldn't have any more problems.

I'm letting you know, now, that I will be gone from June 3 through June 8 for a quickie trip to DL and Universal Studios for our 16th anniversary celebration. Everyone; write this in your planners, sticky notes, whatever you use. Don't let the powers that be forget that I gave advance notice!

I have it in my special DDA Friends/Pal Mickey DDA Adventure calendar for easy access!!!

You know I was wondering if we could share what everyone does as far as work or home business so if we ever need anything or want to refer someone we have a name and number/email address.

Is that a bit much?:confused3

Not tough for me! I'm a stay at home mom for the next 2 years, and after that, I hope to be working in a library, either school or public. Pretty boring, huh?

It is so nice to finally see a picture of my twin & her family! Thanks.

I am finally home from my week in Colorado. I had a great time with Theresa and her family last night. They took me out to dinner, and then we spent time chatting and catching up. Cassidy and Abi are just adorable, and I had a great time meeting Theresa and her family and getting to know them all better. Theresa, thanks again!!! :)

Here are a couple of pics we took last night in my hotel lobby:

I love crepes but have never made them. Perhaps I should make some sometime. My list of things to make keeps growing but I never seem to make any of it.

I was really nervous the first couple of times I made them. Turning them was a bit nervewracking. Once you get the hang of it, though, it's as easy as can be. Easier than pancakes, I think. Plus, they cook a lot faster than pancakes.

I want to go to Disneyland as I have never been but doubt I could go anyways. What about planning one of both. Those who can go, go and those who can't don't.

Now that's a good idea!

With all our weekend craziness, I've fallen behind, but that's a good thing, because that means you all have been on a posting frenzy! :thumbsup2

This is just a drive-by "hi," because while the yard looks great, we still have some dusting and cleaning to do inside, once we convince a certain two-year-old to go to bed. :goodvibes

The showing is at 9 a.m. and the open house is from noon until 2 p.m. I hope to catch up at naptime tomorrow!

In the meantime, you are all in my thoughts, and keep on posting!!!

Amy :)

How did the open house & house showing go? Sure hope that you get some interest!!!!!

I say we plan either two a year (one at each) or plan it every other year at the opposite one.

Good evening! Today was one of those not so pleasant days. I am Asst.Manager at a convenience store & one of our customers passed away today while his fuel was pumpimg. A customer came in & said a guy was slumped over in is his truck. I told an employee to call 911 & I went out to check. Unfortunatley he was already gone. I do not know this person personally, but it really affected me seeing him. I feel so bad for the family as well. I pray that they get the strength needed to make it through this. I do not know for sure why he died, I will see what the paper says tomorrow. I was told that he was only in his 40's, very sad :(

Both boys lost their games tonight, but that's ok there are plenty more games to play. Riley pitched his 1st game tonight :cheer2: , I was very proud of him. Hope everyone is doing fine.

Janet - I am so sorry that this happened! What a sad thing. I hope his family can find some peace!

Paula, I do solemnly swear that I can keep a secret if the overwhelming burden of holding onto the BIG SSP on your own becomes to much. I know how BIG a burden that can be for one sole person and I would HATE for you to have to suffer through that alone. Please feel FREE to unburden yourself by sharing the BIG SSP with me at any time. I am here for YOU and have only YOUR best interests at heart. I am absolutely NOT concerned with my immense need to know in ANY way. It is ALL you and only YOU that I am concerned with.

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Morning All,

Thanks for all the well wishes, my meds are starting to kick in so I have no excuse not to get some housework done around here today. The invites are
printed, adressed and stamped and will be taken to the post office later today.

We'll be making a trip over to SAMS to see what party foods we can get from there.

My husband and I were discussing Disney yesterday, trying to decide just what it is that "hooks" people, I think it's the fact that we can go there and
completely leave reality behind, it truly is like being in a different "World".

What do you think?

Here's a new design I've been playing with along those lines, the picture of the castle is Dan's from the photography board, he has some beautiful pictures.

Have a Great Day,
Debbie

I like it. Very cute, and the castle is beautiful!

I'm so sorry that you had to deal with this. It would be very upsetting.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to thank you all so much for lending your ear and giving such wonderful encouragement as our family goes through these big changes. On Friday, we had an auction of my grandmother's things. She had 4 generations of "stuff", so needless to say, there were SO many things that had to go! Many of the things have such fond memories, it was hard to see them go. I had to just keep telling myself that they were only "things", and the special memories I have cannot be taken away and are mine forever. We did purchase a few pieces of furniture that we would like to refinish someday. She will be packing up Thursday and Friday this week, and then will be moving to Clearwater, FL. I just can't believe how fast this is all happening! We also received news of a WONDERFUL BLESSING! My parents are going to be building a new house, probably beginning in July. The house that they live in now is NOT deeded with the farm as we originally had thought, so they are able to do with it as they wish - and they offered the house to us. I still can't believe it! What a huge answer to prayer! We will just need to find some temporary housing until my parents get their house built - and worst case scenario, I'm sure that we could move in with them for a few months, if absolutely necessary. So, things are certainly looking up for us - thank you again for all of your support!!! Sending hugs to you all! :grouphug:
Shana

Shana - I'm so glad to hear that you aren't going to be homeless after all! Isn't it amazing how things work out? I'm sorry about your grandmother's things. I remember going through my grandmother's stuff after she died, and it was really hard to see most of it go. We all took some stuff that we wanted, but most of it was sold. It is a really emotional time.

I'm glad to see you back posting. Hopefully you'll have more time, now. Good luck for the upcoming move, etc. Let us know if you need anything!

Yay! Another vote for DL. That makes me, Paula, Theresa and Vicki and Becky if she can make it. Anyone else interested in DL?
