Hi everyone!

Did I miss anything while I was gone??

Kristine

Welcome home, Kristine!! I don't think you missed anything earth-shattering. How was the trip?

Not tough for me! I'm a stay at home mom for the next 2 years, and after that, I hope to be working in a library, either school or public. Pretty boring, huh?

Glynis -- nothing about you is ever boring!

Kristine -- welcome back! I hope you had a great time. :sunny:

Joe, sorry you are getting rid of some of your Disney items, but understand about moving it yet again.

DuckyforDonald, what good news about getting your parents old house.

Kristine, welcome home.

Hello to everyone else.

I don't look @ it as getting rid of.
I look @ it as putting them up for adoption.
All will go to Disney loving homes.

I have ABOLUTLY NO plans telling ANY of you what the BIG BIG BIG SSP is. So you can beg all you want, none of you live near by nor will I be seeing any of you soon nor do any of you have my number to call me to pick on me. SO I AM NOT TELLING. How do you like them Mickey bars (how do you like them apples).

:teeth:

Darn! I have no chance of finding out--youre on the other side of the country!!!!

Ok, I've become the latest stalker. I just called and left a voice message for Denise asking if everything is ok. Told her that we are worried and love her. Asked her to check in if she gets a chance.

Good for you! I PM'd her, but haven't heard from her.

Speaking as one who has had a DDA sister call in concern, that is a very sweet feeling. I really hope that all is well. I'm a bit worried, though, given everything that they are dealing with. I just wish that I lived closer. I'd hop in a car and go, but I'm too far away, here. I just sit here worrying and praying.

So DH just left and I am 26 pages behind. AND, did I say AND… I have a house to clean. Could someone send the cleaning fairy my way, I sure could use a little help.

Just set small goals. Things that you can accomplish in 15 minutes. Set your kitchen timer for 15 minutes, and work until it goes off, then move to a different job for another 15 minutes, then another job for 15 minutes, then take 15 minutes for some "me" time. Then start all over again. Flylady calls it "Crisis Cleaning." It really works. Then, once everything is cleaned, just a little bit of maintenance every day keeps your house tidy. Or at least manageable.

When I first tried it, I thought, it's too simple, it will never work. But it does, and best of all, I don't get frazzled, because I'm always switching jobs. You really have to train yourself to stop after 15 minutes and do something else. You can always schedule another 15 minutes to finish up the jobs later in the crisis cleaning.

Yes I think minority rules in this case!!!

SO DL in ’07!!! Good glad that is settled.

Now just pick a time frame and we will go from there.

:teeth: :thumbsup2 :) ;) :teeth: :thumbsup2 :) ;) :teeth: :thumbsup2 :) ;) :teeth: :thumbsup2 :) ;)

That would be so cool!!!!! I'm heading there with my family in the Fall of 2007, but I would be up for going earlier in the year without them. I'll do whatever the group decides to do!

I told her the same thing when I called to talk to her this afternoon. By the way, she talks just the way she types!!!! We had a nice chat!!! I'll have to call and pester her again.

It's easy to do everything there in a couple of days, so it would be perfect and not make us feel we were missing many parks.

I've been to Disneyland, too!! Once on my honeymoon (way back in 1962!!) and once in 1990 on my way back from Hawaii. My son and I stayed over in LA for 3 days and went to DL for 2 of them!

Yay! Another one!

DL will be opening the Finding Nemo ride in 2007, too. I can't wait to see it! The Buzz Lightyear ride is amazing, and quite different from WDW, too, as you can remove the guns. Much easier to get a higher score. And to see Storybook Land at twilight is incredible. Then there's the Matterhorn, Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride....need I go on????? There's Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the Original Tiki Room (where you can relax with a Dole Whip, Marti), It's a Small World. You guys would all love it! It's nice and compact and easily doable in 2 days. Perfect for us who can't take too much time away from family and work.

How was the dance? You now I am a fan of bunt cakes, they can be made fast and easy and they cut into small slices. You can make such a variety of them also. My latest favorite is one I got from the Cake Mix Doctor. You make a German chocolate with the frosting mixed into the cake. IT IS SO YUMMY!!!!

Recipe, please!!!!!

The dinner/dance was fun! Dinner was lasagna, which was tough for me, but I scraped the meat and cheese from in between the layers, and really stocked up on salad. After dinner we had a cute show of Broadway tunes and skits, then they cleared the floor and we danced for a while to oldies from the 50's and 60's. It was really fun! I did have a few bites from desserts (which I dearly paid for later  ), but all in all it was good! I even got a new skirt and sweater for it, and when I tried the outfit on at home, the size 12 skirt was about 2 inches too big. I had to move the hook and eye. Looks like I'm not a 12 any more! Woo Hoo!!!!

That's what Alan said as he was reading over my shoulder! I guess I just figure I do the same things everyone else is doing, and probably not as well! Oh well, at least I try my best!

This is all we got. Kristine, are you going to give us any details or did the rest swear you to secrecy until they get back?
Or perhaps they all vowed to secrecy, what happens at Walt Disney World stays at Walt Disney World.

Janet- I am sorry you had to deal with that. :grouphug:

Shana- I hope all goes well with the moving and selling and getting rid of things. :wizard: :grouphug:

Sending :grouphug: and :wizard: to everyone who is in need of some.

Well someone had to as Kate isn't around. I've been wondering as well. I hope all is well at the Fig family.
