So my MIL called a few minutes ago and said Emma is crying that her belly hurts and wants to come home. She had pizza and ice cream for dinner tonight but we gave her her lactaid pills. Eric just brought her home in tears. I am hoping that she only has to go to the bathroom. We are now camping out in the living room.

Ouch I know how that feels - Sending Emma :grouphug: and I hope she feels better today :grouphug:

Ok I'm ashamed to admit this but I will...

I just noticed that my post number was 36601 I saw the 01 at the end and thought... waa hoo I know I posted on the one before so I just got a milestone!!!

Hang on a minute... I'm 400 out... :guilty: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

And with that confession I'm off to drag DH from his pit so we can actually do something on this sunny day!

Lots of errands to run and then over to see his mum - it's her birthday today... I made her a digital scapbook of our vow renewal ceremony and had it printed as a hard back book... it was my first attempt and I think it turned out well... I'm hoping she's gonna be stoked!

Hey guys -- need your experiences/expert advice. I mentioned that my DH woke up on Wednesday with a very red and swollen arm. He remembers in the night feeling something on him/maybe a bite, brushed it off and went back to sleep. He woke up with a red place on his arm -- maybe a 5 inch wide circle. He called me (I get to work at 6:30 so I didn't know about this) and told me he was going to the dermatologist, who was actually on vacation but had someone covering for him. The Dr. looked at it, said it was probably a spider bite, then gave him antibiotics, an antihistamine and some cortisone cream. Well, the red area has continued getting bigger, and now the center of it is purple. I told my DH I thought he should get it checked again, but since the Dr. office is closed for the weekend, he said he would just wait until Monday. It is hot, but he said it doesn't really hurt.

Anyone have this happen/have any advice?

Thank you!

That doesn't sound good at all! I would definitely find a walk in clinic this morning and get him there. If it is some kind of poisonous spider bite they may be able to do more the sooner he goes.

I'm off to bed or couch as well. Thanks for the PD for Emma. She is asleep but it is restless so it may be a long night. See you tomorrow.

I hope Emma is feeling better this morning and that you had a better night than we did around here.

Terra woke up cying hysterically several times during the night. She started having a runny nose yesterday morning and was sneezing fairly frequently. From time to time she also seemed a little warm. Then just in time for bed she apparently got more congested as she was snoring and kept waking up. Unfortunately the waking up came as screaming cries and constant talking in her half-sleep state asking or requesting undeciferable things that got worse when I could comply with the request because I couldn't understand it. Luckily, she seems to be sleeping more soundly now and hopefully she will be better when she wakes up since we're supposed to go to the aquarium and whale watch with my family today.

Okay, bed for real...

Good to see you Steffy! Have you been to the shore already? How was it? I am sorry that your foot is not healing more quickly. Keep taking care of your self as we want you to be as good as new in December!

Glad Six Flags was fun. You are just being mean to me. I HATE SURPRISES! I'm horrible keeping stuff from the kids too. I literally have to bite my tongue at times.

Me too! That's why I can't buy Phil's presents too far in advance. When I really find just what he wants, but doesn't think he can have, I always end up giving them to him early because I'm just too excited about it.

Did you like the film?? I 've heard it got trashed in the reviews and then felt really guilty that I raved to everyone about it :guilty:

Don't feel bad, Clare. Phil liked it despite the fact that he isn't a big Tom Hanks fan and he really doesn't like Ron Howard films. My mom always says that if the critics don't like a film, that's probably a guarantee that she will.

BTW - I love the new you in the signature! It is really cute and captures you perfectly.

I've done the same thing!

I am sure that your mother in law will LOVE the scrapbook. Do you have the pages up in a gallery anywhere? I'd love to take a look. I'm just trying to get started, but things have been pretty crazy around here. If we move, that is one thing that I'll finally have a chance to do.

And so ends my early morning P3. I hope that you all have a wonderdul day. I'm off to get ready so that I am good to go when my mom calls. It was so late when they got in last night (about 11pm I think) that they just went straight to the hotel. Now we just have to wait for them to wake up and get over here!

Robyn,

Vicki just PMd me your address. He's coming to you next. I'm going to try to get everything ready and finished tomorrow so John can put him in the mail to you by Wednesday. I'll PM you when he's officially on his way. I made him one t-shirt (maybe he'll get another one tomorrow), have the info page, and a picture. Not as much as I would have liked to have made, but it'll have to do this time. Oh, and he has a BAB from June and a new towel from Paula.

The girls will be so excited but please don't rush. You need to focus on your family the next couple of days. Your mom arrives today, right?

We had a busy day but I just needed something to do to calm down before sleeping and getting ready for another busy one.

My newest nephew is a sweet pea and my older nephew is a crack up. :lmao:
I love getting my baby fix and really knowing that I am done having babies....but then again I would love to have more. :confused3

We went to Six Flags today and had a ton of fun with just my family. My girls haven't been to WDW yet but spent quite a bit of the day comparing Six Flags to it. :teeth: I spent the day comparing it to what Elitch Gardens was like before Six Flags bought it...I really don't like it. But I am not a big one for change.

Denise-

I too hate surprises but I am doing so good keeping yours!! Vicki would disown me I think if I told. The girls often know their presents before they are supposed to get em. I a bad mama!! :teeth:

Glad to hear you had fun yesterday. It's always fun to spend time with your family.

I hear you about the baby fix. I have always been convinced that I wanted 3 but last weekend I realized that I was over the whole baby phase. I just don't want to go back to all that stuff. Of course it doesn't help that Eric's grandmother is convinced that we will have another one, she really wants us to! My aunt also feels the same way. She keeps telling me that if I have a 3rd it should be a boy, just like her 3rd was. If she could guarantee then I would go for it. But that ain't gonna happen. Thankfully I have friends that are still having babies.

The scrapbook sounds like a nice idea and I am sure she will be stoked!

Thanks for the PD for Emma. She woke up early this morning and said she felt better. She is relaxing on the couch as we have a birthday party at 1pm today. The party was supposed to be yesterday, but they postponed it due to the weather. It ended up not raining yesterday and the party would have been able to happen. Hope everyone has a good Sunday. :sunny:

Does anyone know if I have Emma paint her handprints on the dark transfer paper if they would work? I would be using acrylic paint.

Marci,

Here are pictures from beginning to end of a brown recluse spider bite. Sounds just like your DH. I'd be fairly certain that's what got him. Make him go to the ER.

http://www.highway60.com/mark/brs/linda_bite.htm

I'm not usually so squeamish, but I couldn't even finish looking at those photos. I am the last person to head to the doctor until things are really bad, but I say GO to the ER or a walk-in as soon as possible.

There aren't any of those brown recluse spiders in NYS, are there?

Beth

Good morning, everyone!

Tia, hope Terra feels better.

Robyn, Hope Emma is feeling better too! Yes, my mom arrives tonight around 6:30pm at the airport.

Clare, congrats on the milestone! ;) :rotfl:

Have a good day!

So was the movie good? We can't decide between MI3 or the Davinci Code.
MI3 was great on the big screen! Wait for the DVD to come out for DaVinci Code. It was good, but the book was MUCH better!

I totally agree. We saw both at the theater. Go see MI3 and rent the DVD.
