They are cute. When are you moving?

Absolute latest that we will move is early November. My sister is due at the end of Nov/early Dec and I really want to be there when the baby is born. We'll probably know more for sure after my parent's are here next week and we can work some things out with them. I, personally, am hoping that we can be there by the end of the summer.

Morning DDA! Just stopping in to say hello before work! The tops of my legs are stiff, thanks to the sunburn, and should make for an interesting day at work...I'll have to raise my work chair to make sure I don't cross the legs at all!
I hope everyone has a wonderful 4 day work week (for those that work) and that it'll cool off some (for those that don't so you can enjoy the outside)!

Ouch! I hope that your legs are feeling better soon.

ok ok with all this talk of grilling... I assume you mean outside? We call that barbequeing (on the barbeque). When we refer to the grill we mean the one inside the oven in the kitchen!

Yeah, that's what we mean :)

I'm off to an employee appreciation put on by the Governor (I work for the State of Michigan). You can tell it is an election year - she has scheduled an appreciation in the U.P. this year. My staff and I are all going to take advantage of the free goodies.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Sounds good, whatever the reason! :teeth:

Hope everyone has a good day today. Those of you coming back from weekend trips, welcome home :)

We're off to storage to (hopefully) solve my bathing suit mystery :rotfl: I'm finished with my reading, so I'm going to get a few things done in between practice tests, etc... today should be much less tedious :teeth:

Talk to you later!

My daughter has that same mystery :rotfl: She had to go to Wal-mart at the last minute Friday night for a swim suit. Since they are living with us right now......"regrouping financially"........most of their stuff is in storage. She couldn't find her swim suit anywhere. Hopefully you have better luck than she did.

Bring me back some goodies too!! :lmao:

Good morning all!!

I have a busy week, I always hate 4 day work weeks because they are actually 3 day work weeks once you spend Tuesday morning in staff meeting  .

I have officially been at this job 2 years on Wednesday and I think I may be nuts.

Hi, everyone. I went to the doctor on Friday. Had a sinus infection and bronchitis again. The meds completely wiped me out, but I feel 100% better now.

We had a good weekend. My parents were here. Kids went to the park, played in the sprinkler (two days). On Saturday, we all went to see Over the Hedge. It was really funny! They took the kids to the pool for 4 hours on Sunday so John and I could go see the DaVinci Code. Movie was good, but I liked the book better. Grilled out steaks, had BBQ (twice!), and had a good visit. My mom will fly back in on Sunday and stay until Thursday.

We've got a really busy week. Tonight is Brantley-Kate's ballet recital dress rehearsal, tomorrow they have a swim b'day party, Thursday have a playdate at the park with kids from school, Friday is Rees' doc appt, Sat ballet Recital, Sunday mom comes, and Monday-Wed will be at the hospital. So, I won't be posting much. I will get you an update on Rees as soon as I can. Hope y'all are doing well!

Sounds like a great weekend, Denise, and a very busy week to come. I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better. I am sure the visit with your mom and dad was just what the doctor ordered as well. Mine are coming next weekend and I couldn't be happier! Best of luck to BK tonight for her recital. I hope that you'll have some pictures to share as I am really interested in the kind of costumes they wear for Russian ballet. Enjoy the parties and playdates and we'll be looking forward to an update on Rees. :grouphug: :wizard:

Glad you have done your reading -- good luck with your search for the swimsuits!

Denise -- glad you are feeling better. Please continue to take care of yourself. Hope you all have a great week, and know we are still praying for you, Rees and the rest of the Figs.

I had a peaceful morning of house cleaning planned, since the house is realitively cool in the morning, I thought I'd use it to my advantage. That didn't quite work out as planned. I got a call from Hunter at 8:30 AM that he had forgotten his Cub Scout uniform. I had totally forgot that there was a Memorial Day assembly at school at 9 AM and I was supposed to be there. Colby was in a pull up and good thing as he had diaherria, the kind you don't feel coming :furious:. So at 8:30 AM I was in my bathrobe, cleaning up Colby, taking to Hunter on the phone wondering how I would manage getting to school and getting the kids dressed in less than 1/2 hour. Somehow I managed, although I just dunked my head under the faucet and quickly picked out my hair so I'm sure I looked beautiful :guilty: Our school is the only school in Vermont that invites the Veterans into the school for any reason. They took the 7th graders on Friday and went to the cemetary and placed over 500 flags on the graves of Veterans. Today they did most of the Memorial Day Assembly and I'll tell you that I cried over the sacrifices that these men have made to our country. It was very touching. Then they took the scouts outside and propery retired the old flags by burning them. This is a real history lesson and is very touching. I can't believe that patriotism isn't taught in schools these days. Our kids still say the pledge of alligence every morning and sing It's a Grand Old Flag. I remember this from my school days, but they were talking today about how most schools do not allow it anymore. It's too bad because I really feel that it creates better citizens. That got me wondering if other states celebrate Memorial Day in the schools? I'd love to hear what your schools do.

Now I'm off to try to salvage some cleaning time before It becomes opressively hot. Maybe I need to dig some of our air conditioners out.

UGH! We had the same luck :sad2: We just spent almost 2 hours, taking practically every box out of storage, and opening tons of them if they looked promising. I just REALLY wanted to find them, becuase a) I hate spending money on a suit when I have several b) I hate shopping for swimsuits more than I hate studying even and c) I can't justify buying more than one, which means I only have one for the cruise (not near as big a deal, but still sort of annoying. I HATE putting a wet suit back on! )

Oh well! I guess it's shopping for me, probably the day we leave! :rotfl:

Thanks for popping in! Make sure to take lots of pictures of Brantley-Kate for the recital. Even if things are too hectic to post right away, I'd love to see them!

I'm glad you all had a good weekend! I'll be praying for peace for you all (and Rees' health) during the hectic week ahead! :grouphug:

Oh I so hate Bathing suit shopping as well. I need to get a new one as I have gained weight unfortunatly.

Hi! Just popping in quickly to say you're all in my thoughts!

We had a very busy, but fun weekend visiting my family...I'll try to post some pictures later this week. This afternoon, we're getting some company: my friend Kelly (the only friend I still keep in touch with from high school), her husband, Steve, and their daughter Morgan (she's two months older than Alyssa). They're coming over for dinner tonight and we'll probably head to the zoo tomorrow (early, since it's so hot!).

We also had two showings while we were gone, but the realtors only left their cards and we haven't heard anything, so hopefully all went well with the cat!

I'm sorry I'm not caught up and I can't comment on anything...hopefully things will settle down soon, but considering we get the new house keys at the end of the week, I don't see that happening for a while!

Here's a big :grouphug: for you all!
Amy :)

Info for everyone!!!
I just had to share this with someone! And you guys are the perfect reason why I can! (Unless it's already been leaked and is out on the DIS somewhere already!)
From a TA Magazine...
"Disney officials are promising something spectacular that will almost immediately follow the conclusion of the company's year-long Happiest Celebration on Earth this September. On June 7, Disney will announce the specifics at a meeting in New York City. For now, Disney spokeswoman Vicki Johnson said the "something special" set for early October "will not be an event...[but] something special to do with our resorts and people traveling there." She then added, "I can't give away too much." The Happiest Celebration on Earth is the year-long commemoration of Disney World, Anaheim's, 50th anniversary."
Any guesses??
