The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 8

No plans, John wants to do yard work. We are having my mom and sister over for dinner on Sunday, we are having pork chop casserole.

If you haven't already posted it, I'd love the recipe! I'm still catching up from my weekend away!

DH took our kids when I was in WDW. They said it was cute. I wish we had a drive-in around here, especially one that gets new releases!

We love our drive in during the summer. They show a double feature, usually new releases. They do a kid's movie first, and then a more adult movie second. We usually take our kids in their pj's, stop and get Chinese food, and by the time the first movie is over, the kids are asleep and Alan and I are able to enjoy the second feature. Sometimes I'll make popcorn at home to take, or cookies. It's a fun family night.

Hi, just checking in! I have been painting my DH's new home office all morning. I am a messy painter & am basically covered in "stone hearth" (it a taupe). Anyway, I haven't logged on since Friday I think so I a haven't had a chance to catch up.

We went to the beach this weekend for the Blue Angels air show. The place was so crowded they closed the entire beach by 12:30pm. (We are ealry birds so we had a nice spot). They were turning people away & allowed some to park on the side of the highway to watch the air show. I didn't apply enough sunscreen so I am crispy-fried today. Hope everyone had a great weekend & I will to catch up later.

Pork chops
Butter
Large onion
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
2 large cans of Crushed Tomatoes
Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
Wide Noodles (I use the No Yolks)

I put the salt, pepper and garlic powder on the pork chops.
Than fry them in lots of butter and the onion. (I only fry because my mom and sister don't like the taste of the grill.)

After they are done, I put 1 can of crushed tomatoes in the bottom of a baking pan, add the pork chops and pour the other can over the chops, making sure to cover the chops.

Sprinkle on the Mozzarella cheese, cover and bake at 350º until cheese is melted. Some times I bake a little longer so the chops get real tender.

Just befor the casserole is ready, boil the noodles, when done drain but don't rinse.

Some people place some noodles on their plate and put a chop on top. I put a chop to one side, put some noodles on the other side and scoop out some of the tomatoes and cheese and pour over my noodles.

To thoes who got sun-burned, I feel for ya. If I don't completely cover my self in sun screen, I will look like a lobster.

Ask Julia if she wants to come help me with our teacher's gifts, and if she has any suggestions!! Nicholas' teacher is retiring after this year, so she won't need anything that would be used for school.

We bought terra cotta flower pots (smallish). I had the kids paint them and then we tucked packets of forget me not seeds and a school picture of the kids into them. They turned out so cute since the kids personalized them according to their likes. As a former teacher, I would have appreciated something like that more than a box of chocolates, or anything with an apple on it. Just my opinion.

I love the idea of the aprons! Julia does come up with fabulous ideas.

On June 7, Disney will announce the specifics at a meeting in New York City. For now, Disney spokeswoman Vicki Johnson said the "something special" set for early October "will not be an event...[but] something special to do with our resorts and people traveling there." She then added, "I can't give away too much." The Happiest Celebration on Earth is the year-long commemoration of Disney World, Anaheim's, 50th anniversary."
Any guesses??

Hi everyone. I'm having a busy day, so just a quick post to let you know I'm still reading along. I just don't have a lot of time to respond to everything.

Well, I'm back and I'm also caught up!

I had a good weekend with my family. Yesterday we celebrated my grandmother's 93rd birthday. She couldn't believe she wasn't 100. That's what she told all her nurses at her apartment. Oh well, she's only got 7 more years to go. We also celebrated my parent's 44th anniversary. It was a lot of fun to be with all my cousins again. It's kind of sad how extended families tend to drift apart.

Tiffany has had her Anti Immunity symptoms pop up again. At least we know what it is, now I'm waiting to hear how we are going to treat her long term. I put a call in to the Vet at 12:15 and haven't heard from her so I guess I won't until tomorrow. Hunter's ball game was cancelled due to thunder so I had a bonus night at home. Dinner is done and I hoping to get Chris to move some totes downstairs. Thought I'd check in to say hi.

My most important information is that I got a call from Vicki today It was so nice to talk to her. Now I have a voice to go with the image. What a nice lady. I hope we all get a chance to meet or chat sometime.
