I'll be in Holland MI on June 10th (Bob's sister lives there; I got him tickets to a White Sox game and his brother in law is driving to Chicago with him) and returning back to Ohio on June 11th. I'll pm you my work number, maybe late on the 10th we can meet in Grand Rapids for dinner!

That would be neat!!! Katrina & Becky were both born in Holland MI. Chuck & I lived there for 6 years when he first graduated from college.

I am waiting on my ride to airport!!!!

See you all on Sunday (unless I see you over the weekend!!!!)

Bernadette - are you going to be at Epcot on Saturday? I have your cell so I will call you after our Segway Tour - assuming we aren't in the ER!! ;)

I know I've missed you already but I hope all of you have a fabulous time. Relax and enjoy!!!!!

Good morning everyone!

Things have been really busy around here and I'm trying to catch up on all of the posts I've missed.

I had a Dr's appt. Tuesday and everything looked good except I failed my glucose screening by 2 points . I have to go back for the 3 hour test early next week. I tested positive with Christopher (but never had any problems from it) so I see lots of finger pricks in my future. The nurse also called me yesterday to tell me I'm anemic but that's an easy fix. The good news is that my blood pressure is holding steady and my Dr. is really pleased with it. I was on partial bedrest with Christopher at 25 weeks and full (partially hospitalized) bedrest at 33 weeks...so I'm encouraged that I might make it this time!! I'm still holding on to my goal of being ready for the baby by June 1st, just in case. If nothing happens I just won't have much to worry about the last few months and can spend them focusing on Christopher :goodvibes

Amy and I must be sharing the clumsy parts of our brains as I fell on Monday. I actually fell over our Kitchen Aid mixer! DH had put it on the floor until I found a new home for it and I forgot it was there, took a step backwards, fell over it and into a big plastic box I was filling up with things to go in the attic. I think it would have been quite funny if anyone had been here to see it. Besides my bruised ego I have a very sore shoulder.

Christopher's last day of school is tomorrow! Tuesday he had his school musical. Each grade sang songs from Broadway and it was so cute!! His end of the year party was yesterday and they wore swimsuits and did lots of water activities. They used funny foam and rags to wash a Yukon, played in the sprinklers, had a space walk, had a zip line (Christopher's favorite and I think Santa will have to bring one to our house this year), lots of outdoor activites, a scavenger hunt for books and lots of other stuff. We're really going to miss this school next year :(. He's supposed to start swim team tonight and he's really excited about it. He's setting swimming goals to get more Zizzlingers!

I have another window open with my catch up posts so I'll be posting to all of you in a minute!

Have a great day!!

Hi Everyone!! I hope that the last few days have treated you all well. It looks like I'm only about 45 pages behind so maybe I'll be able to catch up easily after all. Before I get caught up in that...Have a great trip Tammi, Kristin, Kate, Marti, Paul and Matthew!! I'll be thinking of you jealously (if that's a word).

Terra and I had a pretty good trip. We had fun playing with my sister and her cousins on Saturday. Sunday was in-law time and it went about as expected. Noth many words said to me, but Terra had a blast. At least 2 out of 3 remembered my birthday as well and my SIL got me a great Vintage Mickey scrapbook. I have considered buying the same one on several occassions and just hadn't done it yet.

We got done early enough on Sunday that we hit DL for fireworks and Fantasmic. We got there at about 8:30 and Terra fell asleep on the way into the parks so the CMs told me not to worry about a ticket for her. First stop was to upgrade my ticket from Christmas to a pass. After the CM figured out how to do it and warned me that she would have to back date it, she forgot that part and dated it for a year out. I didn't notice that until the next day and was just told to enjoy the extra days. Of course, for me that might mean one extra day or two in the parks, but hey the whole upgrade was only $13. The fireworks were AMAZING as always and Fantasmic is one of my most favorite shows ever so there was no complaint from me.

Monday was a big DL day! We did a majority of MK plus Muppets 3D, Monsters ride and Turtle Talk at DCA. All of that with taking it easy early on as the kids were a little slow moving all morning. Terra napped in the park while my friend and her boys headed home for awhile. When they came back, the boys, her stepDD and I rode Space Mountain. It was SOOOO cool!!! I LOVED it! The ride was so smooth and the sound system is amazing (RnRC-esque with the speakers in the seat). The best thing though was the star projections. There are stars everywhere. The projectors make absolutely everything just covered in stars so you feel like you are out in space.

KATE and other soon to be DL first timers - a couple of things...
-Space Mountain at DL is only 40". The seats are side to side so you could sit next to the little ones.
-Splash Mouatain does seat front to back, but according to my friend the last row can seat and adult and younger child.
- I picked up two sets of maps and times guides that I can send to a couple of people if you need them. Just PM me.

Well, I don't think I'll get caught up tonight. We took the red eye back last night and I couldn't get to sleep after barely staying awake in the airport - go figure! So, I got about 3, maybe 4, hours of sleep and then went straight to work. Then Terra napped a little this afternoon so there went my go to bed early theory.

Oh well! Hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day and I'll be catching up with you soon. Maybe with a few talkative ones out this weekend making us all jealous I'll get my chance.

Welcome home Tia! Sounds like you had a great trip :cheer2:

Hi everybody - this is my last post before I head to the airport. We're all packed and ready to go. Just jumping in the shower and we're off. I found out on Tuesday that my college roommate will be in Orlando this weekend, so we are hanging out together on Saturday. I'm excited! We always have such a great time together and it will be good to catch up.

I'll post some pictures when we get home, but we aren't due home until late Monday night. Have a great weekend!!

Sounds like what I came back from Florida with and it sounds like what they described in the chiggers article I read.

I'll take the diagnosis :thumbsup2 I hope I don't get them again... it was quite off putting, I had to wear sleeveless tops as my arms itched so much and everyone at work thought I had something catching!

Have a fabulous trip!!!! I can't wait to see your pictures. Remember to have that birthday drink for me. :rotfl:

Oh my mom will be the first to tell anyone, "Jennifer's smart, but the girl has NO common sense". Then she proceeds to tell all sorts of fun embarrassing stories about me ;)
:rotfl: That's what my dad told everyone when I had my nose pierced!

The funny thing is that I'd dithered over having it done for so long my mum took me to the shop and sat me in the chair :rotfl:

Kristin got her grades last night and I am delighted for her. Five "A's" and one "B." That means Dean List again this semester. And even more important to our finances, the continuation of her scholarship!
:woohoo: :woohoo: Hooray for Kristen :woohoo: :woohoo:

POFQ. We stayed there in October, standard view. It was nice. We ended up with a courtyard view. It was nice and quiet. Short walk to the pool, laundry, main building and parking lot. I think we were in building 4. I wouldn't pay extra for a water view as the grounds are wonderful no matter where you look.

I think that I am feeling better today. Since the aches and pains keep moving I feel strange going to the doctor with no specifics. It is probably the low pressure system that has been sitting over Vermont the last week plus. I really feel fine other than moving aches and pains. If it gets worse again or other symptoms develop I'll get to the doctors. We have crappy insurance so I really hate to go for anything, especially if I don't think that it's treatable. I did promise myself that I would get a yearly exam this year as I haven't had one in 3 years, which is the new standard anyway.

I spoke with Hunter's teacher this morning and she had just finished his state reading assessment and she was so happy with his results. It seems that he tested way above the standards and was in the top band. I'm so proud of him and am actually impressed that he has started reading for enjoyment in his spare time. He has a science fair project due next Friday so we will be working on that this weekend. He is going to make various sizes of egg drop protectors using upholstery foam. The teacher suggested that he make 3 different sizes and we will test them from different heights. We already have an 8" cube made. We'll probably make a 6" cube and a 4" cube. If the 4" cube protects the egg we might have to make a 2" and test that too. Nick has a big project due on Vermont. He has chosen the Maple Syrup industry as his topic which make sense as he already knows tons about it as we have done it for years. I know that I took a lot of video a couple of years ago, but I've got to find it and hope that we took video of all the steps, otherwise he'll be making a scrapbook or brochure of some kind.

The second weekend in June we are camping and they are having a themed weekend. The theme is Mardi Gras. One of the fun events is a costume contest at the Mardi Gras dance on Saturday night. Last year I won first prize. I had a short black dress with green, gold and pink diamond patterns in the front with a mask that I had made. I wore hot pink heels and thigh high fish net stocking which sealed the deal for the dj who apparently had a thing for fish net stocking :rotfl: :rotfl: They give free nights camping as adult prizes and small gift certificates for kid prizes. Prizes go to the top 3 adults and top 3 kids. So I put my thinking cap on today to see what unusual ideas I can come up with. This is what I have so far. I think I'll have Chris wear some brightly colored shorts and a tank and make him some "beer goggles" and put a lampshade on his head. I was thinking of using plastic beer mugs for the goggles with picures of a beautiful "10" woman taped to them. I haven't worked out all the details yet, but what do you guys think? I'm thinking of wearing one shoe and a table cloth with lots of Marid Gras Beads :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Any suggestions on what kind of table cloth would be obvious and Marti Gras looking? I think one of my kids could go as a boombox. That would be easy to make using a box. He could even have music blaring. Colby wants to be the bee hive so I might have to add beads to the bees or something to add a Mardi Gras feel. I haven't come up with anything for the third kid yet. So please anyone not on their way to WDW could you give me ideas/opinions. I am trying to do this without buying much as it doesn't make sense to spend a bunch of money for one night.

We are doing a Hawaiian Luau at the same campground in July. I thought we were going last year, but got the weekends mixed up. I had made the costumes so I will be able to use them this year. Chris is a bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Suntan Oil, Hunter is a Palm Tree, Colby is a blue sparkly fish, I am a Tiki God Totem Pole and Nick is a Bear in a grass skirt. Those are all done.

Thanks for reading this long winded post.

Deb
