Hey Jen

Nice design :thumbsup2

I had to laugh at DS comment this morning,

It was raining really hard on the way to Hebrew School but for a change we were early and DH was with us as no-one showed up to open the gym this morning so we are driving in and

DH says 'it's going to snow today - you are early'
DD says 'great, rain and snow in May'
DS says ' G-d is multi-tasking today'

Ok, so we DID go to the Cheesecake Factory, but I think I still might need to go again sometime, as it didn't turn out quite as planned ;)

The whole in-laws thing is a really long story, but let's just say that between them (and really Kyle), the day started out pretty crappy. 20 minutes before we were supposed to leave for Oxford, I was in tears and nowhere near being ready. I REALLY considered not going, but thought that might have been a bit impulsive. We did almost skip the CF though, so Kate - you weren't too far off. Instead, we went, everyone was there (except my dad who couldn't make it :guilty: ), and I pretended not to be grumpy.

It wasn't so much that anyone did anything out of the ordinary, I just too often cave to pressure frmo certain pushy people. And it drives me nuts, and SOME days out of the year (my wedding, and maybe even graduation to name a couple) you shouldn't push me. It's just not nice :p

I'll post pictures later. Overall, I'm glad I went. The whole "family interaction" part of it was wasted, so I'm still a bit disappointed by that... but the ceremony was nice, the weather was gorgeous, and the food wasn't too bad either :)

Side note though, that made the day oh-so-much better {sarcasm alert}

Denise -- I must have been either having sympathy lapses in judgment ;) (love you :teeth: ) or someone took my brain, too!

I was getting ready frantically, since we were already running late. I set my curling iron on this ledge in the bathroom, and it started to fall. Well, I reacted quickly but kept my head on straight enough to remember it was hot, so I ended up awkwardly trying to catch it, and banging my elbow on this corner nearby. It hurt like heck, but I assumed it was a funny bone type thing, that it would quickly subside.

11 hours later, it's diagnosed as what is probably a radial head fracture (elbow/arm), and now my right arm is in a sling! :rotfl:

It wasn't bad enough to displace bones or anything (Type I - just a 'hairline' type fracture in the bone), so the sling should only be a few days and the pain a few days longer.... but how stupid an injury to try an explain!

Jennifer, I'm so sorry that It wasn't one of the best days. Your graduation should be a day to remember, and not for fractures :sad2: I think that since you've adopted all of us as family you can stop hanging out with those that are pushy and don't take your feelings into account :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 In all seriousness, we are always here for you and share in your big moments. We probably know better than your in laws how much work you've put into your education as we've been up with you on those studying nights living vicariously through you.

Now that sounds pretty....I was thinking the ones you find at the Target dollar spot...the cheapo ones. I wore silver ballet slippers because I have never been good in heels and it was just shortly after my knee had given out on a flight of stairs. :guilty:

:)

A girl in my office wears those cheapo flip flops and I think it's completely unappropriate for work let alone a prom!

I just realised you can see my shoes in the bottom right of the far right photo in my sig :goodvibes

Tuesday - but then we didn't have a conventional wedding princess:

Congrats on 30,000 BTW and on page 2000... cool :smooth:

We got married on a Sunday, being Jewish Friday and Saturday are out as it's the Sabbath so 99% are on Sunday, some have started having it on a Tuesday to save some $$ (or Rand's being in SA). We had the dinner dance, all kosher and at a typical SA Jewish wedding there tends to be lots and lots of food and mainly whiskey - not big beer drinkers but enough food to feed an army!!! :teeth:

I'm an aunt again!!!! Woohoo!!!!!! :cool1: My brother & his wife had their baby yesterday. He called me at 12:54 am and scared me to death. I don't like getting calls in the middle of the night!!!!!!

I found myself holding my breath when I asked girl or boy. Normally, it doesn't matter to me as long as the child is healthy. However, this was different. My brother is 43 years old. He is a Jr. and he is the only grandson to carry on the family last name - Dad had 12 brothers & sisters - his brothers either had no children or girls - there are 30+ grandchildren total and he is the only one to carry on the last name. When my dad died, my brother talked at the funeral about how important it was to him to have a son to carry on the name for my grandfather & father. That was more than 8 years ago. Well ...... there is now a great grandson to carry on the family name. Mom & baby are doing great. Yeah! Thank you God!!!! I lay awake for an hour saying thanks because it was so important to my brother.

What wonderful news :grouphug: :grouphug:

I am listening to my own Disney concert here right now. By one of my favorite singers!! Well it started out on the piano and now Cassidy is just singing while playing on her computer. She sings beautifully when she isn't trying to hard.

Becky: Nice pictures Was the first one inside the Castle? :confused3 I have never been inside but always wanted to eat at CRT.

The first one is taken inside Cinderella's Royal Table. It was the first time I ate there. I ate there once before when it was called King's Stephan's Banquet Hall.

Both times the food was very good. Both times were on some sort of Dining plan, last year being the free dining. I probably wouldn't eat there again since they have changed how they do the food. But I enjoyed both experiences eating in the Castle.

Ooh, I'll join in!! Go Mavs :cheer2:

NBA Basketball is the one thing I am NOT into... but if I had a team, they would be it! I like Mark Cuban (sp?). He is so passionate about that team! I love hearing him talk about them on ESPN, etc :thumbsup2

Today is going much better, thanks for all of your thoughts! Kyle and I got a phone call from my SIL right after church. She was driving through Cincy and wanted to meet for lunch. She, historically, has been downright nasty as I have mentioned in the past, so I was REALLY not looking forward to this. It was tolerable company though, and we ate at Red Robin (after it had been talked about here the other day, I thought I should try it... yum!)... now I'm finishing my cheesecake from yesterday, so I'm in a significantly better mood!

Hope everyone is having a good afternoon!

He IS very passionate. The last regular home game this season, he gave away two airplane tickets on American Airlines to every person at the game. We had given away our (the company I run has them) season tickets to the auction at my son's school. Whoever bid and won those tickets got a wonderful surprise!!

Morning...

my internet was down for 16 hours!!!!!!!! I was in total withdrawal...I had to spend hours talking to Bill!! :lmao: :lmao: He's just not as entertaining as you guys.. :teeth:

Anyway, no time to catch up. If I missed anything important...someone please let me know.

Kristine

I'm sure Bill loved having the extra time with you cause he probably doesn't have a fun board to post on :lmao: :lmao:

Where in Vegas was the Disney outlet, my brother and SIL left for Vegas this morning so maybe I can get him out the casino for a minute to go??? :teeth:

It's on the South end of the strip...about 2 miles past Mandalay Bay. No big deal if you have a rental car...however, if you don't..you either have to take the bus..or the monorail to Mandalay Bay...and then catch the trolley to the outlet center...sort of a PITA!!

Hi, all. Drive by posting. I'll try to catch up later. Rees refluxed at dinner last night and isn't eating much. I think I've given myself an ulcer (literally). My stomach hurts all the time and having quite the upset tummy. But somehow I'm still hungry and wanting to eat! Go figure. Anyway, I'll be back later.

"I think it is but she talks different in Parent Trap - she talks in between" (she has a British accent)

I asked her what in between meant - and she said "well she doesn't talk English and she doesn't talk french - she talks in between them" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
