So I experienced something new today -

when I walked up my steps today - with the brace on - I think it was the first time I have ever done it with my knee cap in the correct position

It was really hard and a lot of work to do it - it was one of those moments when you realize how wrong something is - b/c you never knew it was out of whack

I honestly don't see how I will ever be able to get my knee to be able to hold it in that position - I was out of exhaused just from the effort it took me to get up the steps

I hated that with the brace....took so much effort. But it does get easier.

Poor Nick with his nose/head problems. Wish we could kiss it and make it better (of course in my house we threaten to kiss to make it fall off)

I only have 4 more days of teaching school after tomorrow (and 1 work day!). Can't believe the year is almost over. Kids have 2 weeks left, and then I'll be the mom of Kindergartners. How scary. Tuesday night is the Parents Night at their Elementary School. It's really happening.

BTW, I haven't heard about the other pre-school teaching job. I really want it as it's at the church where we are members (where I teach Sunday School and Choir). The minister, head of music, and my co-teacher of my choir class (she' the music teacher for the pre-school) all have said something to the Director of the Pre-school. So PD that I hear something positive soon.

Oh, and an update on Rees. I had a productive talk with the GI Doc today. I think he now realizes why John and I are so concerned. We talked about everything. The big issue is that if it is really bothering Rees, then it IS a problem. He agreed. And Rees has lost 4 pounds in the past 6 weeks. His appetite is down big time we are guessing due to reflux pain. the trouble with re-doing the Fundo is there is only so much stomach available for the surgery. If we do it now, then what happens 5 years from now when symptoms appear again and we have no other solutions? So that's why the doc really doesn't want to do surgery now. Unfortunately, if he keeps losing weight we'll have to take some kind of action. The doctor said we may have to put a feeding tube back in so that we can supplement his calories. So, now we're looking like we may be going down the whole Failure To Thrive/Feeding tube road that we did before. Needless to say, we are so upset. I do understand the doctor's view now much better, and I feel like he heard me. Oh, he wants us to video Rees when/if he has another big reflux episode so he can see exactly how he's reacting. so, that's my update.

:wizard: :thumbsup2 for the preschool job! I hope you get it. It sounds like something that you would be really good at!

Thanks for the update on Rees! I've been wondering how he was doing all day today! I'm glad that you were able to get the doctor to actually communicate with you. I'm just so sorry about Rees' appetite going downhill. I can sympathize with him, though. I'm sure he doesn't want to eat because he knows it's going to cause him pain. There is a bright side to this, though: at least you have the option of a feeding tube. Just think what would have happened if this was happening 50 years ago. Medical science has improved so much. I know that the whole thing is very upsetting to you and to John (rightly so) but just find the time to give Rees big hugs and cuddles, and you'll know that you'll do anything you have to for him (I know I don't have to tell you this, you tell it to yourself all the time). Those triplets are a miracle from God! You are the parents that God chose for them, and we have all seen time and time again that the right choice was made. I honestly believe that no other person (persons, counting John) could do as much for them as you do.

HOLY CRAP

I can't believe that I am INSANELY jealous of a 12 year old

02). The visitor was a 12 year old girl from Colorado. She was given a lifetime pass to all 11 Disney Parks, a large key to the parks, and was the Grand Marshal of the parade that day!

Not only did she get a lifetime pass to all 11 Disney parks worldwide, so did the rest of her family; mother, father, 5 sisters, 1 brother, and a baby on the way! All 10 of them have lifetime passes to all the parks.

I'm with you! I'm so jealous I can't see straight! Why don't those kinds of things happen to any of us? :confused3 I just don't get it. We're deserving, we're obsessed with Disney. We'd all probably appreciate it so much more!

Oh well! There's always 3 Billion to work for!

I noticed that when we were on 1966 - the year Steve was born

I was thinking we would all want to post on the pages of the year we were born!!

I was planning on posting on page 1967, but had to go to book club last night, so I missed it! Oh well, I thought about it. Guess that will have to do.

hey guys...
just wanted to give the rest of the update i have on alyssa...here is what her mom posted today :

On Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 06:15 a.m., Alyssa went with God through Heaven's Gates. Be assured she was comfortable and without pain. Know that Alyssa loved you all sooooo much. I know you will all miss her greatly as my heart has broken too and aches for her. I do know that she has finally "beat" cancer for the last time in that where she is there is no pain, no sorrow. Just green pastures for horesback riding and joy. Thanks so much to everyone there for Alyssa and us both physically and in spirit. What a tough job for her nurses Wednesday night and Thursday morning, Ela, Grisel, Zelia and Joe. Special thanks to Natalie for staying with Alyssa until she was ready to go "downstairs". The nurses and child life staff provided such awesome care to Alyssa and us as a family. We will never forget them as well. Dr Sprinz and Dr Richardson will also hold special places to our hearts for giving such effort with compassion to such a horrible, unpredictable disease such as neuroblastoma.

I will have to miss the viewing and funeral as it is a 4 hour drive and we all have work, so im kind of upset about that,,but we will go up in a few weeks when things settle down a bit..
i really appreciate having somewhere to post..its been a real rough day and i cant seem to stop crying..thanks all

Thanks June!

I can't believe how many people like my pages... I only designed them for me and they're not that spectacular but I loved them and I'm so glad other people want to use them too

I forgot to report back to you on the pages that I got from you for my neighbor. Well, I made 5 books for her kids, and put them in waterproof bags with clipboards and Sharpie pens (different color for each child). Catherine told me later that the kids never let those books out of their hands. They had an absolute BALL looking for the characters and getting autographs! In DCA they saw Cruella DeVille, and went to stand in line. People around them were admiring their books, and Cruella was so in character; granting autographs as though it was beneath her. When the Tuckers got to the front of the line, they all had her page ready, and she grabbed the book away from Seth, held it up high over her head and announced that THIS WAS THE WAY SHE SHOULD BE TREATED. She signed all those books, posed for pictures, kissed all the boys, and made a huge fuss over them! It really made their trip!

They didn't find all the characters, but Catherine told me that on the trip home, they were already planning their next trip to find more autographs.

Thanks, Clare, for making their trip so wonderful!!!!

Thanks Denise!

The ceremony is at 3:00.... then we're picking up Cassi from a weekend camp (she's a sweetie) for Cheesecake Factory! (I'm way more excited about dinner than graduation :rotfl: )
