So I thought it was odd Amy and Kevin were going to a wedding tonight -

until I remembered I got married on a Wednesday - and it got me thinking

did most of you get married on a Saturday or was it a different day of the week

and DAWN - you are supposed to be emailing me a wedding picture!!

I was married at 10:00 on a Saturday morning. Always the early bird!

ETA - we had a sit down breakfast reception too. That is our favorite meal of the day so we decided that is what we wanted. Had Bloody Marys and Screwdrivers for the libations

I got married on July 8, 1962 - it was a Sunday.

Steve always tells me he doesn't sleep well without me in the bed - that is just not fair of him to put that sort of pressure on me -

he goes to bed around 10 - I am a night owl

besides he gets up around 4 or 5 sometimes - would he stay in bed with me awake if it helped me sleep better? that would be a big fat NO!!

Yeah, that is what I used to think too. However, he is rreeeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyy grumpy at least a day when I stay up late. Since I didn't have anything fun to do at night, I didn't really care so would just go to bed. Now that I have the DDA, we'll have to make a different compromise.

We got married on a Friday night too- and saved a couple of bucks. We were leaving for Disney on Sunday and didn't want to get married on Saturday night just to leave all of our friends who had to stay in town. So we married on Friday night and had a big brunch at our apartment the next day. The celebrating continued and we had a ball. Then left on Sunday morning by ourselves.

That's me. He puts off so much body heat I can't stand it. Stay on your own side!

Chuck sleeps with his arm & leg draped over me. He has to sleep with a body pillow when I'm not here. He steals most of my heat (which I just offset by how many blankets I use). If he gets up in the morning before me, he has to take a blanket off me. If I get up first, I have to add a blanket. That's what happens after 24 years of marriage.

Hey Marti and Paul - I just looked on MapQuest and Fairport is about 5 hours from Poughkeepsie. We should plan a meet. We could each drive halfway and meet up somewhere (after the May 18th meet, of course).

Ding - Ding - Ding We have a winner!!!


With all the pixie dust -- the DDAers must have been shining - Paul got the job he wanted!!!

But it is more than likely that he will work 5am to 3pm shift -- and that means I'd be getting Matt on the bus. Currently my wonderful husband gets up everyday to get Matt on the bus. But this is a great move for our family. And Paul is pretty psyched!
