Hi all-
I just wanted to come and thank you for all of the prayers and good thoughts you all had for our friend, Alyssa.. I got a phone call this morning that she has passed away. Although we knew it was coming, its been a really rough morning--im home alone and all i have done is sat here and cry...i really appreciate all the thoughts and prayers

They told me yesterday that the sedative would make Nick very moody and irritable today -

um- that would be the UNDERSTATEMENT of the year!

I have never seen him so mean and cranky!

Yikes! Did they say how long it will last? Hope it wears off soon.

Well I just purchased half of our plane tickets, al least I know we will get there lol Now I just have to wait for Airtran to have our return date on sale. I tried getting 3 seats at the sale price, but they came up at a higher price So I ended up getting 2 seats for $89 & 1 for $119 Guess that is what I get for waiting till the last day of the sale. I am sure they will go on sale again, but I did not want to take any chances. Oh well it's done & we are definetly going

Kristine what type of pins did you see at the outlet in Vegas? Were they the kind that can be traded at Disney, do you remember the prices? I need to get some more trading pins for the boys & beings Kelli is going soon I thought maybe.......(Kelli hope you don't mind )

I just spoke with Kate for the first time!!! What a surprise to have a phone call from her.

She asked me to pass on the good news that everything with Nick appears to be fine. They are thinking that he is just suffering from migraines and will treat them with tylenol for now. The other thing it could be is simply a virus.

I'm glad there isn't anything too serious, Kate. Much that tylenol will do the trick. to Nick.

Proud mom moment!!

Cassidy's Jazz Band got 2 1's and 1 2 at the State Jazz Band Festival. The 2 was in sight reading(which none do so well in anyway). Now we have to wait until the end of the week to find out if she won a soli award.


Kate- good to hear that the MRI was positive. Hopefully it isn't migraines because that's alot to handle for us grown ups much less munchkins.

Congraulations to Cassidy! That is great news! I loved Jazz Band. What does she play?

Congraulations to Cassidy! That is great news! I loved Jazz Band. What does she play?

In Jazz Band Cassidy plays the flute but will play the flute and piccollo (sp?) for her last Middle School Band concert and plays the piano. She also has tried out for a singing solo for the 8th grade percussion finale....every year the percussion section does a blue man group piece. The band director is a percussionist and loves producing these pieces and it's really fun to watch!!

My new color is pink...in my whole life I have never used calamine lotion. I was shocked when it came out of the bottle like water! I thought it was like a lotion....now I have PINK all over the place. I may have to sleep standing in the corner...I hate to put all this pink in my beige sheets!!

At least pink and blue don't clash, right?

I am so sorry for your loss - you are in our thoughts and prayers. And it doesn't matter that you knew it was coming - you still lost someone you love and that will always hurt!

Hello everyone!!! I'M BAAACK!!

And I am exhausted!! We had a lot of fun...it was weird to have no children around. It was in the upper 90's the whole time we were there...Bill was in his glory. We laid out in the sun every day. Yesterday I came done with some strange red rash on my legs..looks like a blotchy sun burn. I was glad I didn't get the the first day, as I think it would have ruined the trip.

We saw a few shows..the biggest production was Mystere (cirque de solieil sp?) I must be the only person that just doesn't get it...everyone but me seemed to love it...it was OK, but I'd never see i again.

I doubt I'll catch up...so if someone wouldn't mind filling me in, I'd appreciate it. I hope everyone is doing well...

I saw a blurb about Nick...Kate, I hope he's doing better.

I asked my boys if they wanted to join, but all the pins they have they want to keep(I can't say anything though, because I don't want to let go of my tink pins either lol). So I need to get some more that they can trade while at Disney.

Theresa -- tell Cassidy congrats from me on her band's accomplishments. That is terrific!

Jennifer -- thanks for the link to the furniture... fun to look through!

I have a proud Mom moment to share too. As you know, Kristin (DD19) is a theatre performance major in college. Every spring the entire department is required to audition for the following semester's Main Stage productions. This is a highly competitive time as they only do 4 shows a year on that stage and there are about 150 performance majors vying for those casts.

The plays being produced next semester are "The Nerd" (a comedy) and "Medea" (... not a comedy )

Kristin assumed that if she was to be cast she would win a role in the comedy since that is one of her strengths. Well... guess what... ... you got it... she is in "Medea." She was cast as one of the Chorus.

The director is a Visiting Artist from the Royal Shakespeare Company who is quite young and a little out of the box, so Kristin is more enamored with the production now. The callbacks were rigorous and she is fascinated by the tack this director is taking so far. The role of Medea will be played by a very talented hearing impared grad student. She will sign her lines and they will be interpreted in the spoken word. I cannot wait to see it!

I am so proud of Kristin and her hard work to get this part and am looking forward to watching her grow as an actor through this new opportunity. If I could, I would buy all the available tickets and invite you all to Tammi's house to stay so you could be there for opening night....

Congratulations to Kristin! That is a great accomplishment. The production sounds very interesting and I love the idea of a signing main character with spoken interpretations. That should be really cool.
