Me too after I read my post. :teeth:

Oops. :confused3

One more week and school is out!

Cassidy and I went last night and found out marching band camps start May 30th and run the month of August and sporadic ones through June and July. So her summer is booked already. :teeth:

Becky's June & July are very booked as well. School ends on May 31st. She has a leadership conference June 11-15 in Lansing (which means we'll leave on June 10th & return on June 16th). She, Katrina & my mom are heading to Japan from June 18-30. She'll go straight to my mom's from the airport since my sister & her kids will be there through July 4th. Her 18th birthday is July 13th so we have some planning to do for that. Girl Scout Camp is July 16-30. Whooo! I'm exhausted just thinking about her schedule!!!! Hopefully, August she won't end up with anything scheduled for August.

yes, the welps came up opn sat. may 6 then a few days later more came up then a few days later more. They itch like crazy. I am going to go buy some cornstarch I think and try that for the itching.

After you posted this, I got to thinking about the "rash" I got while at Disney. It was unbearable when we got home. I just thought I had a rash from the sun. However, after reading the info on chiggers, I think that is what I had. I was miserable for over a week. My legs were rubbed raw because they itched so bad. Duh!!! What an idiot I am not to have realized it was something more than a rash. If it happens again, I'll be prepared to go out and buy some meat tenderizer to try it.

Madelyn update.
Her IV is out she has been on room air for awhile according to my husband. she weighed 1lb 14oz at birth and is now 2lbs 5 oz.

Well, I just zipped up my suitcase and I am ready to go, except for the last minute things tomorrow. I wanted to say thanks to everyone for all of the good wishes. I know we are going to have a great time. We will take LOTS of pictures and I packed a notepad so I can take notes for our trip report. There is only one thing that I am dreading....the HEAT!! It's supposed to be in the low 90s.

I haven't posted much but I've been keeping up. Great pictures of the food, party, shirts. Clare, congrats on getting your assignments finished. I'm sure that is quite a relief. Deb, I hope you get some sunshine soon. Get to the doctor too. Vicki, I can't wait to meet PM. I might just have to come back with one (for my kids, of course ;) ). Paula, take it easy on the staples while we are gone. Amy, good luck with the open house. Denise, prayers for Rees. If I've forgotten anyone, I apologize. Hugs and PD to everyone. See you when I get back!!!!!

Thanks Marci, I sent you a pm.

Janet -- I have two boys with ADHD and dyslexia. They've both been tested, and go to the largest school in the nation for bright children with learning differences.

Anyway, if you want to PM me with any questions, I'd be happy to help out.

Thank you for all your supportive comments about our house and about Libby too! :goodvibes She's still limping a bit, but she's definitely putting more weight on her paw, so I'm confident I only sprained her a bit. This morning, when the window guy showed up to replace a couple of our screens, she even tried to jump all over him, so she's almost back to her old self.

I did have a bit of a scare today though. I've been having what I self-diagnosed as braxton hicks since Monday, but this afternoon I noticed some blood in my urine. I didn't panic, but poor Kevin dropped everything at work to take me to the doctor, and it wasn't easy to find a babysitter with a half-hour's notice (Alyssa was napping). Luckily, everything seems fine (blood pressure, not dialated, etc.) but the doctor's pretty sure I have a bladder infection. They're running some tests, and I'll probably have another pill to pop by week's end. She also said the braxton hicks are most likely correlated.

I'm so relieved that I'm not on bedrest and that Matthew isn't joining us just yet, but this definitely made me realize we need a plan when it comes to Alyssa's care and maybe I should just go ahead and pack a bag too.

So, that was my day! I'm looking forward to just sitting back and watching American Idol and Lost tonight.

I hope Marti, Paul, Matt, Kristine, Tammi, Kate, Bernadette, and your kiddos have a great weekend!

Here's some :wizard: and :grouphug: for everyone not feeling 100% and lots of prayers to all who requested them too.

Amy :)

P.S. Glynis, I don't believe for a second that you are Donald Duck! You are way too nice!!! Now Dawn and me...well, we're a different story! :rotfl:

Hi Everyone!! I hope that the last few days have treated you all well. It looks like I'm only about 45 pages behind so maybe I'll be able to catch up easily after all. Before I get caught up in that...Have a great trip Tammi, Kristin, Kate, Marti, Paul and Matthew!! I'll be thinking of you jealously (if that's a word).

Terra and I had a pretty good trip. We had fun playing with my sister and her cousins on Saturday. Sunday was in-law time and it went about as expected. Noth many words said to me, but Terra had a blast. At least 2 out of 3 remembered my birthday as well and my SIL got me a great Vintage Mickey scrapbook. I have considered buying the same one on several occassions and just hadn't done it yet.

We got done early enough on Sunday that we hit DL for fireworks and Fantasmic. We got there at about 8:30 and Terra fell asleep on the way into the parks so the CMs told me not to worry about a ticket for her. First stop was to upgrade my ticket from Christmas to a pass. After the CM figured out how to do it and warned me that she would have to back date it, she forgot that part and dated it for a year out. I didn't notice that until the next day and was just told to enjoy the extra days. Of course, for me that might mean one extra day or two in the parks, but hey the whole upgrade was only $13. The fireworks were AMAZING as always and Fantasmic is one of my most favorite shows ever so there was no complaint from me.

Monday was a big DL day! We did a majority of MK plus Muppets 3D, Monsters ride and Turtle Talk at DCA. All of that with taking it easy early on as the kids were a little slow moving all morning. Terra napped in the park while my friend and her boys headed home for awhile. When they came back, the boys, her stepDD and I rode Space Mountain. It was SOOOO cool!!! I LOVED it! The ride was so smooth and the sound system is amazing (RnRC-esque with the speakers in the seat). The best thing though was the star projections. There are stars everywhere. The projectors make absolutely everything just covered in stars so you feel like you are out in space.

KATE and other soon to be DL first timers - a couple of things...
-Space Mountain at DL is only 40". The seats are side to side so you could sit next to the little ones.
-Splash Mouatain does seat front to back, but according to my friend the last row can seat and adult and younger child.
- I picked up two sets of maps and times guides that I can send to a couple of people if you need them. Just PM me.

Well, I don't think I'll get caught up tonight. We took the red eye back last night and I couldn't get to sleep after barely staying awake in the airport - go figure! So, I got about 3, maybe 4, hours of sleep and then went straight to work. Then Terra napped a little this afternoon so there went my go to bed early theory.

Oh well! Hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day and I'll be catching up with you soon. Maybe with a few talkative ones out this weekend making us all jealous I'll get my chance.

I am zipped too...although I totally don't feel ready I feel like I am forgetting something!

I am bummed out...my 17 year old is making me crazy!! :scared1: He has put a damper on things.. :sad2:

Kristine

Well dress rehearsal went well for my 2 DD's yesterday & today. Yesterday was so crazy..3 hours of rehearsal with my 10 year old yesterday & today thankfully was only 1 hour with my 5 year old. They both were so cute. My oldest is in hip hop, jazz, ballet, & tap. She really has come along in her dancing & I am quite proud (I sure as heck can't dance). My little one does the pre K class which is tap/ballet combo. They both love performing & I am looking forward to the dance recitals this weekend. Only one more rehearsal to go tom'w & then Friday & Saturday are the recitals. My MIL & Mom will be here all w/e so I will be totally stressed to the limit. They are a hard bunch to please BUT I am totally focusing on my daughters. I'll post some pictures of their costumes when I can (i have a 35mm & once I develop the film I'll scan them into the pc) I need to get a digital camera at some point!!! :badpc:

Have a great time at Disney you May 18th DDA's!!!

Amy, Glad to hear all is well with you & Matthew.

Bear74, glad to hear she is gaining weight!

Clare, Congrats!!!

I am off to bed..I am pooped. Tomorrow I have to get my house cleaned. Looks like an explosion in a toy store over here! :lmao:

Have a great night everyone.

hmm I thought you might say that... here's why I was asking.

I went to NYC for a few days in September a couple of years back. Two days after I got home I had what I thought were mosquito bites on my knee and my ankle. The next day I woke up with itchy bumps all up my legs and on my arms. I thought I had chicken pox and went to the docs but he said they weren't. Said he'd never seen anything like it... nothing in his text books... had a blood test that came back negative... the bumps lasted a few days and we're really itchy...

To this day I still have no idea what they were... some mystery American illness I bought home... or something was eating me... just wondering if this could have been it...

Sounds like what I came back from Florida with and it sounds like what they described in the chiggers article I read.

I'm the same way. I totally feel like I'm forgetting something. Oh well, I just hope it's nothing I can't get down there.

Can Bill handle the 17yo without you???

Yes...I just don't know how someone in the Nat'l Honor Society, can have absolutely NO common sense!!
