The deal is, it sucks during the entire “GET OUT OF MY BODY” part, then, it’s like magic and you forget the pain, you have a beautiful baby.

I will have to disagree with you, Paula, on the you forget the pain. I was in labor and pushing with Cassidy for 3 hours, the girl did not want to join the world because we wouldn't let her come in the world 6 weeks early (she tried coming April Fool's day). The doctor kept threatening c-section and she would come down a bit. The girl has always had a mind of her own. Yucky pain but all worth it in the long run!!!

Ya got me! The worst one I can think of was when my SIL was getting ready to become a grandmother for the first time. At her DIL's baby shower, she took Julia aside and told her "Real mother's don't get epidurals." I laughed out loud and said not to tell my kids I wasn't their real mother.
:lmao:

I think the reason we all share is it's a common bond!!! Plus, in some cases it's the only way we can trump some snotty woman next to us. "Labor for 12 hours? Really? According to textbooks I was in labor 6 weeks.(na nee na nee boo boo)"

I also love listening to the stories because it's part of family history and lore!!

Morning you all.
I hope all of you are fine.
We are all settled in our new apartment.
Trying to catch up.
I'm back on page 1705.
A little in the A.M & a bit in the evening.
You all just are to chatty.
Give a poor ol' girl a break.
Later.

Even with the pd, Nicholas' team still lost their game, 3-2. Those poor kids can't catch a break, and they are playing their little hearts out. Oh well, we'll try again on Saturday. They would be so thrilled if they got a win.

PD and fingers and toes crossed for a win on Saturday!

Nick woke up crying in the middle of the night about his head - whimpered a lot in his sleep and woke up this morning complaining about it -

We are off to the doctor and I am not leaving until I am satisfied with their answer - something is hurting my little boy!!!

And tell the doctor he has to answer to ALL OF US as well if he can't figure out what is wrong with Nick!

Tammi-

Here's some Pixie dust :wizard: and all my fingers and toes crossed that the soccer team wins on Saturday. It's so hard to see the kids playing their hearts out and losing!!

Uh huh...sure you were! ;) :teeth:

Have a class of wine for me and some cookies too (did I mention I gave the last two Golden Oreos to Alyssa today? :teeth: )

Amy :)

Exactly how much wine is in a "class"? Sounds like a lot! This group already tried to get Denise drunk once, be fair! ;)

I gotta say that most of the time my computer is the exact opposite of what you all say. It's quite speedy tonight!!

You know, mine has been REALLY fast for 2 days now. I'm not complaining, I just thought it was odd that so many people complained about it being slow all day yesterday! :confused3

*double post*

Sure, I compliment the speed of the boards, and now this :rotfl:

Well, I eat them frozen. so it is cold and very crunchy. Then you bite through the buttery cookie into a layer of thick and creamy caramel. As you pull the cookie away from your mouth, the caramel leaves a trail. then you chew slowly through the layer of chocolate and coconut. As you lick your fingers, you pick up a new cookie and start again. Oh, and the wine is luscious, smooth, and perfect!

This is like food porn! EWWWWWWWWWWWW

Nice job though.... if I liked them, I think I would be running for some! :rotfl:

Wimpy in Popeye! "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today!"

ETA: I posted this before I saw the queen also had the Tuesday reference. At least I'm in good company. Apparently, my turn for the communal brain came right after Kate's, so she left some smarts behind for me. Thanks, Kate!

:rotfl2: And I got the brain right after Amy, and we got the potty part, apparently! EWWWWWWWW :rotfl2:

{So if that means I'm sharing in pregnancy-brain that Amy keeps mentioning, and I'm NOT pregnant (rest assured)........ Help me - and everyone around me - when I actually am! :rolleyes1 ;) )

Well, we may still stay at the CR. The monorail is a BIG deal to Rees, and we've already told him we're staying there. I just don't know if it's worth the risk to upset him. I just mentioned it to him, and he just keeps asking, but where will the monorail be? How will we ride the monorail?

If we do switch to POR, what is the easiest way to get to the CR, Poly, and GF? We have lots of early character meals (no prob if at the CR with the monorail). Would it be easier to get a cab and pay?

John and I are really torn. $1800 is a TON of money (and it would really help to save it), but when you weigh the monorail, ease of transportation with Rees, and bigger rooms, it may be worth it to spend it this time. John says every trip will be better, so maybe CR this time and try POR next time. Any opinions?

No, I definitely tried to get her to eat Kevin's regular oreos! :teeth: Unfortunately, she doesn't like them!

Amy :)

Does she like the Uh-Oh Oreos? Then you could all have your own variety, and the others could be off-limits! ;)

We live in a 100 year old house that had tiny rooms so we knocked out every single wall and ceiling ( rather scary standing in the lounge and seeing the roof! Then we put new walls and ceilings back to make new rooms. Big job and extremely stressful both mentally and physically.

WOW! I think we need pictures. This sounds amazing.... and the very reason we didn't look at old homes. A friend of Kyle's wanted to sell us theirs, and it's GORGEOUS! We just would have wanted to do the same thing, and just reading about yours makes my head spin!

Do you have before and after pics?! :goodvibes

Your welcome. I hope they are still doing it, as we aren't going until December.

Thanks! I forgot all about that last year and we practically lived at Ghiradeli's! Hey Denise, that is one of the greatest perks at POR!! The boat to DTD from the resort drops you off right by it!!!

You'll be caught up in no time.
