The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 7

Good morning DDAs! I hope everyone has a great day and here's a and to anyone that needs it.

I have an awards ceremony for my youngest, Jake. He's getting his second year of perfect attendance. He's so excited! My older son, Andrew, will hopefully be getting his third year on Thursday during his awards ceremony.

My DH, Randy, is very upset because he can't attend the ceremony this morning. He has a training at work that was set up before he started his new job. Thankfully, we just bought a new video camera so I'll video it for him.

Good Morning to All

I am going thru my morning routine and thought I would pop and see how everyone is doing. The next two weeks are even busier than usuall around here. This is the two weeks that swim team starts and laps over baseball that is coming to a close. My sister-in-law says they are doing to much but this is really the only time their sports activities overlap all year. Austin will finish 6th grade on A/B honor roll and Alex will finish 2nd on A honor roll. They are good boys and just like being active. Oh well.............I guess I am just a little agitated about my SIL comments and trying to make myself feel better. Gotta finish getting ready for work. I will check back with ya'll later when I get in.

Sounds like they are doing pretty darn good at school and excercise should never be discouraged for kids IMHO (says the girl who hated sports at school, and still does!) If they're not complaining and their grades are not suffering then you are doing great... if I had a tongue sticking out smilie... oh how's this to your SIL

I've been tivoing season one... when my assignments are in I'm going to start watching it... can't wait now I've seen how much you like it!

I haven't watched it on tv as it airs at 10pm on a Thursday night and I just can't stay awake that late on a "school night"

Oh I almost forget to tell you.....Nicholas' team won their soccer game on Saturday...7-1!! They were all so happy. Unfortunately John and I were not there to watch it, and my parents had taken him. So either John and I are bad luck or my folks are good luck!

No matter how hard we try mom there are always going to be some overlapping. As long as they eat before they go to bed you are doing fine!!

Hi, all. Graduation and the music program were wonderful. Davis got Most Caring, Brantley-Kate got Best Teacher's Helper, and Rees got Most Curious. The IEP meeting went very well too. Got everything we wanted with no problems. He will receive PT, OT, and Speech Therapy. Also will have a Parapro come into his classroom 2 times per day to help him with work.

Oh, and Rees' next tests are on Thursday am at the hospital. I'm sick with bronchitis again, and feeling crummy. So, I'll talk to y'all later. Have a good day!

I won't be able to check in much this week as it is my girls dance rehearsal week with 3 dance recitals Friday & Saturday. Each night this week they have rehearsals. All this happens to coincide with my oldest DD's violin concert as well so its just nuts over here. Sunday is our county's science fair which both my oldest DD & middle DS have projects entered. Last year they both went on to state competitions. Next week things will slow down a bit so I can breathe again.

Just wanted to say to everyone going May 18th that I know you guys will have a blast. Kate, take it easy on that knee..we want you back in one peice. Have a great time!!! Have dole whip for me!

Good news on the IEP meeting too - I'm glad it worked out for you and Rees.

Because you have all been such a huge support system to me lately, i wanted to share what happened tonight..Today was rainy on and off, but this afternoon was pretty nice..My mom and I decided to go out for ice cream and as we left, it started to drizzle a little bit...Then it was absolutely raining buckets!! Mom started laughing and was like "alyssa is probably up there laughing at us"...so we were teasing and i was like "well Lyss, im not impressed..where is the rainbow" So we were driving and laughing and got to the carvel ice cream place and it was raining like crazy still....I kept looking out the back window and my mom asked what i was looking at ..I said i dont konw , i thought there was a rainbow but theres not ...She looked and said, nope , nothing there...so i turned around 2 minutes later and out that SAME window was a rainbow..it was absolutely crazy!!! We just looked at each other and laughed...I swear it was some type of sign to let us know she was okay..is that crazy to think??

I don't think that's crazy at all! I think it's wonderful!
