I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day!!! I know I did. It started with breakfast in bed and fresh flowers. Then we all went to church.......Austin received his state bible drill award, Alex sang with the childrens choir, then at the end of the service Alex went down front to say he has been saved and asked to be baptised!!!! What a Sunday!!! Then everyone came over to my house for lunch and lounging by the pool. It was my husband + 4 kids + their 2 spouses + 3 grandkids + my parents + my brother his wife and their 3 kids + my aunt/uncle and her 2 kids + their spouse + their daughter. Let's see.....that makes it 24. All the men got together and planned the menu, cooked or bought the food and even cleaned it up. We had bbq ribs, corn on the cob, cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, garlic bread, sweet tea, diet coke, chocolate cream pie, lemon pie, turtle pie. All of the mom's sat in the living room and relaxed while the men prepared the meal. We all agreed that there was going to be hell to pay come Fathers Day but we didn't care because we were enjoying our day at the moment.

All the dad's already made their Fathers Day request.......black angus ribeyes, marinated mushrooms, baked potatoes and salad with all the topppings.

This probably explains why I have a weight problem. My family looooooves food.

Lynn

Sounds like some very yuumy foods. Can I come to your house for the next feast?

Cassidy has always been an awesome judge of character (except one or two friends, but we won't go into that :teeth: ). We took her to a photographer(15 months old) and no matter what he or I did she cried and cried, he was a mean man and he didn't even have to open his mouth and she knew it. I am a big believer that some people, espescially kids, "hear" stuff we don't. As we get older we seem to not believe in that stuff anymore so we stop hearing it.

I believe that we can not understand all things, but children know some much more than we ever give them credit for.

Is it wrong that I just ate a fairly large pice of cake?

Wrong if you didn't eat it before everything else.
Wrong if you didn't enjoy it.
Wrong that you didn't give us any.

It sounds like everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

My dad invited us for dinner and we decided not to tell my mom - my brother told her he was out of town - my SIL told her she would stop by and see her sometime but that was all my mom thought

so we got there at 4:30 my brother was running late and Julia was doing a really good job keeping the secret - my mom had babysat her the day before, we had brunch with her and went shopping and Julia never spilled the beans - as soon as we got there Julia HAD to give my mom her present - which was from all 4 of my mom's kids-
so Julia says "this is from me!" and
I said "NO - tell her who is it from"
Julia looked at me and whispered "it's a SECRET!!!"
I told her she could say who it was from
so she says - "it is from Uncle David - and he's COMING!!!"
it was so cute - once she said his name she just couldn't keep the secret another second - which was fine since it was so cute how she said it!!!

Kids crack me up, they can be so funny.
Glad you had a good time.

I remember one year for Fathers Day my dad was trying to get me to tell him what I picked out for him. He said he needed new socks. I was probably about Julia's age and I remember thinking that was such a great gift to give. He kept trying to get hints from me and I wouldn't budge. I was starting to get mad at him and finally told him...........I am not going to tell you I got you socks for Fathers Day!!!!! Everyone started dying laughing since I was doing so good. Everyone knows now if you want everyone to know something.........tell Lynn.

Lynn, I am going to tell you one of the SSP's

not today, maybe tomorrow.

I am known to do this. Predict things or have a sense that something is going to happen. The morning of 9-11-01, I looked at my watch and was like how weird it is 911 something big is going to happen sure enough about 45 minutes later the first plane flew into the first tower of then World trade center.

The day one of my Great Aunts died I saw about 10 deer in my backyard, I told my parents that Shirley had died a few hours later we found out she had died right about the time I saw the deer. She always loved deer and I just knew it had a connection.

My friend whose son painted the picture, when she was pregnant with him I had this feeling that she was going to be in a car accident, sure enough no more than a week later she was in a car accident.

I could go on. I scare myself sometimes by these things. I just get these feelings, sometimes things happen other times they don't. I never know which might happen and which won't

This could become a very interesting conversation.

I have not idea what is or what is not possible, so I will go with.... I believe if you do. Last time I checked I was not God.

Hope this helps! I always forget about that when on the internet...

That is what I figured.

And thank you for the tape, I will watch it soon. The next few days are full so far, but I will get to it soon.

Vicki and Paula-

Thank you both so much for making me feel loved. If one of you sent me a PM this afternoon the other sent one at the exact same time!! :rotfl2:

Of course I am a bit behind at work, but it's my own darn fault as you all didn't make me respond!! :teeth:

I am always here to make your work fall behind. Glad I could help. :teeth:

Does anyone use ebay and paypal a lot - someone posted on the budget board today that if you try this new service -they will put $20 in your paypal account - I signed up for it this afternoon - placed a bid using the service and within an hour had $20 in my paypal account - AND I lost the auction - so you don't even have to win it!!

Some people are saying that they even found one with a reserve price and put in a low amount so they wouldn't win it - I just found an item I wouldn't mind winning - particularly with an extra $20!!

The site is unwiredbuyer.com - you can go sign up or if someone refers you by email then the person who referred gets $5 ;)

Interesting, I shall look at this.

Hi all,
Because you have all been such a huge support system to me lately, i wanted to share what happened tonight..Today was rainy on and off, but this afternoon was pretty nice..My mom and I decided to go out for ice cream and as we left, it started to drizzle a little bit...Then it was absolutely raining buckets!! Mom started laughing and was like "alyssa is probably up there laughing at us"...so we were teasing and i was like "well Lyss, im not impressed..where is the rainbow" So we were driving and laughing and got to the carvel ice cream place and it was raining like crazy still....I kept looking out the back window and my mom asked what i was looking at ..I said i dont konw , i thought there was a rainbow but theres not ...She looked and said, nope , nothing there...so i turned around 2 minutes later and out that SAME window was a rainbow..it was absolutely crazy!!! We just looked at each other and laughed...I swear it was some type of sign to let us know she was okay..is that crazy to think??

You are not crazy what so ever.

I agree, I always liked being friends with the boys. I started being friends with the boys after 2nd grade, when my best friend decided to ditch me when a new girl showed up in our class.

My advice is a little unusual. I had similar problems when I was a little girl. I found that I liked being friends with the boys better. Even as I got older, I found the boys are easier to get along with. Are there any boys in her class that she could be friends with when the other little girl isn't there?
