Very good points! And Mother's Day is coming up, isn't it? Next question: is this still available, or has it gone back in the vault?

L&T just came out last month, so it should still be in the stores. Try Best Buy, Target, etc. Or tell the DH and Dkids to try there for Mother's Day!

I like how he got the second part of his nickname. I'm surprised he was still talking to you after your post!!! :rotfl2: He's definitely a good sport!!!! I wasn't sure if I should post over here what prompted Tammi to give him the Skunka part of his name! Don't want to start trouble in the Hunka household! :rotfl2:

Do tell! I can't remember how he got the Skunka part of his name. Or at least PM it to me!

Thanks for the history on the Hunka story.

I just read 36 pages to catch up from last night. My eyes feel like this

:wizard: :wizard: to Kate and Bethie.

Theresa I'm glad that Grandma Hoo Hoo is doing better.

Hello to everyone else, I really did read, but didn't take notes. The new signatures look great.

I have a rough day. I had to get up early to get Colby to an 8:30 dentist appointment. I am not a morning person so my day was off to a poor start. As we were exiting the Dentist (He had a great exam by the way) My mom called to say that she had been diagnoses with Whopping Cough. She began feeling poorly on Saturday and had been progressively getting worse so she went to the doctors yesterday. They told her then that she either had a URI or Whopping Cough, but didn't treat her then, waited for the test results. Well apparently Whopping cough is extremely contagious so my whole immediate family 11 of us are on Z packs. I don't know what they didn't start her yesterday as I'm sure the Z pack would have covered both issues. Her results had to be reported to the State Disease Control office so she was on the phone all afternoon with Doctors, Nurses, state officials and school nurses (she works at a high school). For now they are only treating immediate family, but if anyone that came into contact with her gets a cough they must immediately go on the meds. Since she has been at work at the school and we had their anniversary party (30 people) they had no idea where to draw the line as to who should be treated. So after several hours of waiting to hear from doctors we got our meds called in an all 5 of us have started our course. Tonight we had Cub Scouts and did the second half of our Athlete unit so I got plenty of exercise. I was really disappointed that only one other parent participated tonight as we had 100% participation the first time. 4 parents actually just sat and watched. Oh well, at least today is over and I'm off to bed.

Marti, I got 3 packages in the mail today so I guess I did something productive today :smooth:.

Hi, all!

Goodness - there must be something exciting going on, as you guys have posted 24 pages since I last checked the thread at 6 p.m. CST! No time to catch up now, but I hope whatever it is has been fun!

Just wanted to quickly post, so I can see my new signature. Once again, Queen Kate has outdone herself - I  it! Thank you so much, Kate!!!!!!

Thanks so much for the PM's wondering where I've been the last couple of days. Unfortunately, I'm on my schedule of working 12-15 hour days with not an end in sight anytime soon. The new assistant isn't working out very well so far, but I'm still persisting with the plan to go on my Kauai trip. I think I'm going to need it more for my sanity by that time than anything else!

Know that I'm reading along, and will post and comment as I can. My thoughts, pixie dust, and prayers are still here, though! :grouphug: :wizard:

Goodnight all - I hope your Wednesday is a great one!

Lindsay – I hope things workout w/ your assistant and that you get to go to Kauai.

When I was pg with Julia I lost 8 pounds in the first two months - they were so excited once I actually started gaining weight - I only ended up gaining 9 pounds total and one month I gained 8 pounds - I told my mom and she was APALLED!! She asked if the doctor was really mad I had gained that much - quite the opposite - it gave me a 4 pound overall weight gain at 6 months so they were pretty happy about it -

it seems to me pregnancy weight gain is monitored much less now

I never gained any weight with any of my pregnancies. Now, that's not bragging, mind you, I was just so incredibly sick with all 3 pregnancies, that I couldn't keep anything down the first 3-5 months. With Katie I lost 40 pounds total in the first 4 months, and then gained it all back in the last of the pregnancy. I came out of the hospital the same weight as I was pre-pregnancy. Keep in mind, that I was a lot larger then, and the weight loss was not something my doctor was worried about. Because I was high risk, I had ultrasounds, and non stress tests every month at least, so they monitored the babies carefully each pregnancy.

Unfortunately, before the surgery, the only time I could ever lose weight was while I was pregnant.

OK, I'm off to bed. Figures the thread would start picking up now! :rotfl: See you all tomorrow.

If it matters - that is father's day weekend

I have a more immediate need - Cheesecake Factory to lift my very deflated spirits!!

It doesn't really matter to me, but thanks for pointing it out! I wasn't thinking about that but I'm sure some with kids might feel differently.

When do you want to do Cheesecake Factory? I am going on my graduation Saturday (May 6th) but I suppose I could do it before that as well

The Dr just called and said the same thing you all said, but he did tell me I could up her mortin to just under 1 ¼ tsp. He did make a comment about her age vs. her weight and told me to make sure I check back in w/ her Dr. soon for a weight check.

A bit of history on Elizabeth
birth weight 6 lbs 12 oz

At 2 mth was admitted for dehydration and viral pneumonia (they put us in an isolation room, it took them 6 hrs to diagnose pneumonia)

She has been off the “growth curve” ever sense her hospital stay. And the girl gets a runny nose and cough every time I turn around.

She has had so any tests due to her “failure to thrive” that I just freak when she is out of her abnormal normal.

At 2 ½ she is all of 20 lbs dripping wet and the girl can put down some food.

Anywho… when the girl gets a fever that jumps to 103 I am a looney mom.

The bath when well and the girls are watching sprout tv right now.

I am off to the page 1762 to catch up now.

Again THANK YOU ALL!!!!

Paula, I hope the night goes well, and that you and Bethie will get some sleep! Now that I've seen pictures of your babies, it adds a measure of empathy! Take care of those precious babies, and take care of yourself, too.
