Kate,
It is very normal and unfortunately does last a long time. My two boys also liked to take things apart to see how they worked, just like their father, my DH did. Thus ruining a few of their toys. :rotfl2: :lmao:
I think the two grandboys are gonna follow right in their footsteps.

Terry

DS8 always ties thing behing his bike, behing the remote control car etc etc
He also likes to tie string from his bunkbed to the door to the blinds (pulling them up) and then to toys etc his room is always ****y :teeth: trapped!!

Oh honestly sometimes I so do not like the military. I have to wait for the Dr to call me back. GGGRRRRRR.

Thank you so much for listening/reading, DH is gone and I can’t talk to him for a few more hours, my friend (not on the pay roll anymore) is on a conference call (she’s a loan officer) even my mother is not answering her phone. Blah blah blah…

I am putting her in the bath again, if this was Ellie I wouldn’t stress so much, but Elizabeth just freaks me out when she does this junk.

what an OUTSTANDING group of people you all are. I feel a bit better just knowing you are here.
I know it is scary, but we've all been there, so we know what you are feeling. When Nicholas was 11 months old he was running a fever of almost 105 but no other symptoms, took him to the E/R, and after blood and urine tests, they couldn't find anything that could be causing the fever. Then they did a chest xray and found pneumonia, gave him a couple of shots and sent us home with a script for albuterol. The worst part of this ordeal was the side effect of the med. It's like crack for babies. My mellow little boy was bouncing off of the wall for the next week or so.

Keep pushing the meds, liquids, and just let her rest. It's what she needs.

When I was prego I wouldn't share my weight either, but I would tell how much I'd gained. Except I made the mistake of telling my mother the first time around, and then I got the "we weren't allowed to gain more than 25 lbs the whole time" speach. I learned my lesson after that.

You mean you are allowed to gain more than that now? When my girls were born, they still were pretty adamant about that. If you did, they would get on your case.

I think it is up to around 35 now if I'm not mistaken. Maybe one of our resident pregos could clarify? ;)

Well I had my kids at the same time you did, and they told me 25 - 35. It didn't help though becaused I gained 40 with the first and at least 53 with the second, but I stopped weighing myself the last 2 weeks. I didn't want to know anymore. And my mother also reminded me constantly about how she never gained more than 25 pounds. Like I said, it didn't help, I couldn't control myself.

Honestly, I think people just want to get to know you better. We're that way about everyone who posts here. I've never heard the name grizelda before and it's not in either of my baby name books. What's the origin of it and does it have any special meaning?

It is a name used in SA to refer to your monthly visitor, people will say 'Grizelda is visiting' :rotfl2:

Can someone please tell me....can you rent stroller at the International Gateway entrance to Epcot, or do I need to go the whole way to the front of the park to get one?

Yes, you can. Walk over from BWV and rent one near the bathrooms at that entrance.

Kate,

Your signatures are fabulous!!!!!!

Paula,

I hope Bethie's temp is coming down. I do the same as was mentioned above..alternate every 3-4 hours with the motrin/tylenol. I put 2 wet washcloths in the freezer until they are hard. Take one out & out on the farhead. When that one gets warm put it back in the freezer & take the other out & put on your dd's head. If she's not queezy, keep up fluids. We bought pedialyte pops which help prevent dehydration. It's so hard when they are little & sick. :grouphug:

With Katrina, I was so sick the first couple of months that I only ended up 12 pounds over my starting weight in the end. I lost about 18-20 until the morning sickness was under control. I was absolutely miserable. My doctor finally gave me some med - suppositories. I told Chuck I was "not using those". He grabbed them out of my hand and told me to bend over. :rotfl2:

When I was pg with Julia I lost 8 pounds in the first two months - they were so excited once I actually started gaining weight - I only ended up gaining 9 pounds total and one month I gained 8 pounds - I told my mom and she was APALLED!! She asked if the doctor was really mad I had gained that much - quite the opposite - it gave me a 4 pound overall weight gain at 6 months so they were pretty happy about it -

it seems to me pregnancy weight gain is monitored much less now

Hey all

I am glad you all like your new signatures!!

I got bad news today - I had a follow up with my doctor this afternoon - he said my knee muscles are strengthening but my knee is not responding as it should and he immediately stopped PT - I am going for an MRI in about 20 minutes and he is HOPING that he might be able to surgically correct it -

I don't know what it will mean if he can't

I am walking out the door now and won't know anything until I see him again next Wed. - I could really use some :wizard:

I am hoping this works out better for you than it sounds, Kate. I assume as I keep reading that I will find out more.

:wizard: to you...

ETA: I see that the MRI went well. Let's hope the reading on Wednesday is also good.
