I spent the day paying bills and taking care of kids (school vacation). I also did a meals on wheels of leftovers for my parents as they are still under the weather. For some unknown reason I decided at 5:30 PM to go to Home Depot and buy the new vanity sink top for our bathroom. I had burned the countertop years ago and recently something cracked the old sink. Since we're having the party on Sunday I wanted the house to look nice, thus the push for a new counter/sink. Instead of waiting until tomorrow I decided to install it tonight. (What was I thinking? :confused3 ) The old one came apart easily and the old hardware fit nicely on the new counter until we set it on the cabinet, the pipes didn't line up. So I went back to Home Depot and bough the pipe fittings that I needed, came home and cut/refitted the plumbing then got it all chaulked. It looks great, but took much longer than I expected. I didn't get a chance to log on until I should have been headed to bed.

I've got 9 pages to read and I'm not sure if I'll have time. I just finished the Anniversary Cakes. I am no Betty Crocker, but I think they came out pretty good for a girl that has no cake decorating talent.

Do you think this is fancy enough for a 40th party. We are only serving cake, Ice Cream and soda/juice so I want this to look great.

Deb

WOW!!! Is there nothing you can't do???? Those cakes look great. Nice to hear and see in photos that you all had a great time. AND...you do costumes and plumbing too! :worship: I feel like I've made a huge accomplishment if I clean the sink. There is no way I could replace one.

On the Mac strollers, can you take the 5 point harness system off the stroller? Rees obviously doesn't need it. I'm hoping if I order it tonight it'll be here by Thursday pm. Nothing like procrastinating. It would be good for his outpatient surgery on Friday to keep him calm.

Oh, and please keep him in your prayers tomorrow around 2-3pm. We have to go to the hospital for his pre-op admission, blood work, etc. He is already worried, and I know it's going to bother him.

Thanks!

done! :wizard:

They come in $1, a couple of trips ago, Matthew lost a tooth at EPCOT, he was bummed out that the tooth fairy would not be able to find him. Me, being of quick wit, told him that the tooth fairy is Tinkerbelles cousin and quickly found a gift shop and bought acouple of single Disney Dollars...

You are good!!!!

I just pre-registered Rees on-line for the surgery stuff on Friday. I sure hope this weekend isn't awful. John and i had to go buy all this acidic food for him to eat. It's like torture! I'm going to get an ulcer over all this.

John and I are thinking about trying Nurti System. Anyone use it? We both would like to lose around 20 pounds.

How about Skechers? Here's a link: Skecher Firebugs

I just looked at my MacLaren (an older model) and I could not remove the harness BUT...you could undo the shoulder straps from the waist strap to get the straps out of the way. I think you'll see what I mean if you look at a photo.

Also...you are all still in my prayers. I did some stuff together for the kids but haven't made it to the post office yet. I will this week before my trip!!!

Those navy would be perfect. I'll show them to Rees tomorrow.

Thank you! Could I cut the straps off? They'll bother Rees, and we won't need them.

Hunter lost a tooth at Typhoon Lagoon. The helpful CMs made a point to tell him that teeth are worth more at WDW so the tooth fairy left him a $5 Disney Dollar. He was really happy. Now he'll be trying to rip teeth out each time we go :rotfl:

I did a silver $ for the first tooth and have been doing Sacagawea (sp?) $ since. Lizzie has lost 5 teeth. For the 4th one she made the tooth fairy a card so the tooth fairy also left one of those new Jefferson nickles. I had just gotten it in change for lunch that day and haven't seen one since. For the last tooth she got the $ plus a state quarter.

We live in an affluent community. My DH's family bought our house for $17,000 50 years ago. It is now accessed for over $700K-a small 3 bedroom house. We struggle to pay the RE taxes but just love this location so much. I didn't want Lizzie comparing what the tooth fairy brought her to what other kids in class might get so I was going to use foreign currency but then found the roll of Sacagawea coins at the bank. I better go back to the bank before Joe starts loosing teeth.

Guess what we found at Publix grocery store this afternoon? MICKEY MOUSE ICE CREAM BARS!!!!!!!!!!! :mickeybar They look just like the ones at WDW. The box has 6 in it. We're having a good dessert tonight!
Sounds great. When we went to DL in August they were out of Mickey ice cream bars everywhere. :guilty: We'll have to try them at WDW this fall. I heard they're available as a snack on the dining plan. :Pinkbounc
