Sound like a fun day.

Spider bite… bad.

Did you give her benadryl? Dimetapp? Antihistamines are good for bites.

Funny story time…

So I was (Air Force story) on an exercise and we stayed in a hotel. (I know that sounds odd, but when you are flying sometimes they put you in a hotel for proper crew rest) We were getting together for our pre-flight briefing and I told my head nurse (I was a medic at the time) that my back had a big bump on it and I asked him to look at it.

He laughed at me and told me it was a pimple.

The next day we were pre-flight briefing again and I told him the bump was bigger and hot. He looked again, this time he felt it and said…. OMG, You have one good spider bite here.

He ran to his drug kit and took out the benadryl, open wide he said.

He then lanced it and got the puss out. Then he gave me the rest to take for the next few days.

It took about a week for it to dry up completely and go way.

I'm an RN, and I have been giving her Benadryl around the clock. also have Bactroban ointment on it to prevent infection. It's really oozy tonight, red right around the bite. You can see 2 fang marks in the center of the ulcer. I hope it doesn't get worse.

BTW, your questions were hilarious. But the kids/gender was not getting answered. That would be too easy!

Wow, maybe I need weight watchers. You look amazing. Have you been able to keep it off?

Deb

For the most part, I bounce between + /- 4 to 7 lbs. Not all at one time, but over the past few months.

I bought the Chronicles of Narnia movie to keep me occupied until it is time to pick up Becky & her friends. This is a great show. I need to read the books. I've always meant to and still haven't.

Dh bought that last week, but we wont get to watch it until he is out of his school.:guilty:

WTG! There were a couple of us that recommended flylady - I was one of them. She has helped me a lot as well. It is why I can spend so much time on here. It doesn't take me long to get things straightened up because I've used her techniques so things don't get out of control like before. I'm glad to hear she worked for you as well.

I'm loving her. A little background. This old house we bought is 52 years old. The people that we bought it from had it for 8 years. They were not the best in housecleaning. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Things that we thought we could clean, we have had to replace. Like the stove... Well, I took flylady's advice and used it to clean the sink. My goodness. My Dsil's mother came over tonight with two of his nephews and I had to show her the sink!!! It is a porclean sink and it was on the list to be replaced! It had a yellow film that we just didn't think would come out. It is pearly white now....

Now for the dingy blinds!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I sure hope it gets better , the spider bite that is.

AND SHAME ON YOU FOR NOT ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS!!!!
I worked hard on those.:lmao:

You should have answered a few just for grins and giggles.

UPDATE: as of 23 Apr 06
Disney DDA did reply to these questions, but I didn’t see it because she did it in stealth mode. She answered the questions w/I a quote but did not change the font so I passed right over it.

Disney DDA/ Denise please forgive me for my harsh demanding typing.

Stephanie pointed out to me that you answered the questions on page 1650 post 24741. Thank you Stephanie.

We had a good day. Slept in, and I made a big ole Southern b'fast with biscuits, grits, eggs, bacon. Yummy! Then BK had a princess dress-up b'day tea party. She went as Belle and looked so pretty. I took some pics and will try to post later. After the party we went to the large indoor outlet mall, walked around, went to Bass Outdoor Pro shop to see the aquarium/boats/rock wall. We ate dinner at Johnny Rockets and then rode the carousel. They have the tea cups (like WDW) on it, so guess what the kids and I picked! We spun so fast I thought we were all going to be sick. It was so much fun!!! They are in bed, and DH and I are relaxing.

Oh, and BK got bit by a spider last night on her ankle. It has a big ulcer and is oozing now. It doesn't look like a Brown Recluse bite, but if it's not better we'll have to go to the doctor.
Glad you had a fun day. :wizard: for BK. I have a major phobia due to a bite as a child. I hope it heals OK.

We spent the afternoon at DS baseball game and Aubrey and I did the dugout and recorded the scoring, I took my camera and took pics of the boys and left my camera haning on the fence by the dugout.
Remembered it about 3 hours after the game when we were coming home from my mom so went past the field to look and it was hanging exactly where I left it - That was so lucky!!!!

That is very lucky!!

Spider bites?
Post counts?
20 questions?
Costumes?
I might need to stick around here for a while.

I LOVE those books! We read the Magician's Nephew and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to Katie and Jacob before we took them to see the movie. I wanted them to have the stories in their heads as they watched. The Magician's Nephew was actually written later, but it tells the story of how Narnia is created, and where the White Witch comes from. It's nice to have that background as you watch the movie, I think. Doesn't take away from it if you haven't seen it, but it adds another layer if you do.

You'll enjoy reading them. I adore C.S. Lewis! The Screwtape Letters is one of my favorite books, ever!
I remember reading the whole narnia series when little. I still have yet to see the movie, though.
