Have you read any of the The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency books by Alexander McCall Smith? If so, do you find them very accurate. I know that it takes place in Botswana, but I don't know how similar Botswana is to S.Africa. These were the first books I had ever read that take place in Africa and I found them very interesting and enjoyable to read.

I haven't but will make a note to get them, how many are there??

I LOVE THOSE BOOKS!! We read the first one in my book group, and I had to go get the rest! It amazed me that a man could write a woman so well! I highly recommend them. I'm with Tia, though, I don't know how accurate the lingo, etc. is, but I loved them all!

Well after 2 months checking & rechecking the Southwest airlines website for them to offer fares for my travel dates..today was the day they opened up late August...the fares were so high I was surprised. I was hoping for $190 RT or less each way but SW for us would have been $261 pp..ouch

I checked Jet blue (which had been high recently) & got $89 each way...whew..now that my airfare is booked, resort re-booked with free dining on 4/1 & adr's done back in February, I can stop obsessing about the trip. Just hoping for no hurricane's!

I just wanted to update you guys on my friend alyssa...
I heard that she is in less pain today and they may start to lessen the amount of drugs they are giving her..still not looking good for her--hospice will be coming in..right now, my familys really having a rough time with this ,but were hoping it can get better!

I used a lot of boxes from the reams of paper from my office, maybe Kevin can get some of those, they are a good size and have lids so you don't have to tape and they stack well too!!

Unless she changed her dates, no. The dates she gave me for Vegas was April 28 - May 3 (I think). I'm sure of the April 28 date because we need to get PM to her before then. She's taking him with her.

Kate - I don't know if this would be helpful or not, but I have been keeping a file (yes, I know, Amy) of all the recipes that I've gotten from the DDA and other places on the web. If you're interested, I could email it to you. Let me know what you want. This is too cool!

Glynis I think it was you that I was going to send Passover recipes and info to, if so please can you PM me your address, I have a book to send to you with passover recipes etc.

I'm so sorry to hear this! I'll keep praying for her and for your family. That's a hard thing to have to go through and to watch.

I just love working with Steffy. I just love working with everyone there. Some days are really hectic with having to know a little about every program when I answer the phone but it is most important to know the most about our Child Care programs. I just with I had had the chance to start this job much much sooner than I did.
