And Seton hospitals are great! I did an org. culture study on one of the clinics when I was in school at UT, and they came through with flying colors.

Hey Everybody;

Just checking in briefly to say "Hi" !!! Sorry for all of the drama yesterday, I am not usually like that . Thanks you all so much for all of your wonderful thoughts and prayers for me and Cody.

I am feeling a little bit better than I was yesterday, but still not 100%, I don't think I have a fever anymore though.

Kyle is going to lunch and to the park w/ Dave's parents, and Carli is going to a b-day party at Build a Bear today. I really should rest but the kids really need some new summer clothes and it is SO much easier to shop without them w/ me. So I am off for some retail therapy.

Cody didn't come home yesterday, the Vet said that he was up and around and he seemed better, but there were some complications that they wanted to keep an eye on. He is coming home either today or tomorrow hopefully.

My best friend that I talked about on Friday night has seemed to have pulled a disappearing act. I haven't heard from her since I called her to ask her some questions on Friday night when we found out about Cody. She hasn't called at all this week and we had made tentative plans to get together this week while I am off. Lately she seems to never be around when I need her, she is only around when she needs me for something from me, she constantly complains, and thinks everyones lives should revolve around her.She is extremely spoiled!!! I hope you all don't think I am usually so B***** about my friends, but I am Very hurt!!! Can you tell I am aggravated??? Anyway the reason I went into all of this is because it really shows me how much you all care, and I SO appreciate it, your friendships and concern are invaluable to me!!! Thanks!!! Julie

I'm sorry to hear Cody still isn't home. Hopefully that means he'll be a bit more recovered though, when you finally bring him home!

My kids are hilarious -

they are playing hide and seek

Julia is telling Nick where to go hide - he goes where she says - then she counts and goes to look for him

all the time saying "Nick, where are you? Mommy - where could Nick be? Nick?"

Then she hides in the same place so he can find her!

Hmmm.... do you think she has caught on that every now and then adults do that for the little ones? That's too funny! And how sweet of her to go easy on Nick

I'm caught up with you guys!! I spent yesterday washing the front of my house, reinstalling the rain gutters, weeding the flower bed (the flowers are barely poking through) and putting out the bench and tables. I bought some hanging pots from Home Depot so we have a little color out there. It looks really nice. The outside is ready for Sunday so now I'm working on the inside. I have managed to get Colby's room and Our Room completely cleaned, dusted, vacuumed, done. I locked the doors so the kids can't get in there to mess them up. It is so hard to try to clean having 5 in the house and the party is still 3 days away. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but figure if I wait something will come up and put me behind. . I went to the florist and ordered the Cake Toppers yesterday. I think I have bought all of the supplies now. How can a litlle party take up so much time? I have also been PMing Vicki on the Travellin' Pals. Hopefully they will be ready for travel early next week. Who would have thought that such a little guy would need so much luggage At least it is giving me something else to think about.

I'm off to get something else done.

Beth - here's some for your bravery, and some to help you get back on track. You haven't failed when you can still do something about it, in my book!

And I wouldn't get all hung up on those "ideal weight" charts - DH came home the other night and told me that one of the drs. he sees regularly (he's a pharm. sales consultant) told him that he was technically overweight for his height. Now, could he afford to lose 5-10 lbs., sure (who wouldn't?!), but he's 6'4", has a big body frame by nature, and weighs 220 lbs. His ideal weight according to this dr. would be in the 190-200 range - I've seen him at that weight, and he looks amaciated! That alone has convinced me to not look at those charts - just look in the mirror, and also pay attention to what your body is telling you. You generally know if you're healthy or not.

Good luck - you can do it!

I've seen him in person and he definitely doesn't need to lose weight. He looked great to me! (The laughing is because he really is a very nice looking young man and I've had to rewrite this several times so it didn't sound like I was ogling Lindsay's husband - though I would have liked to).

Sounds like the party is going to be fantastic (and I'm not surprised with you doing it). On the Hercules costumes, do you think BK could be Meg, me one of the Muses, and I still need something else for Davis. Don't think he'd go for Pegasus. Any ideas?

Steffy, hope your ankle is better. You have more will power than me. I would have bought the tickets.

I think Davis would make a cute Phil. If Colby wasn't Pegasus I was going to make him Phil. I planned a flesh colored shirt with some brown embroidery floss in the chest area to simulate hair. I was going to use some furry fabric to make pants. Use make up for the facial hair and create some sort of horns. I think it would be adorable.

BK as Meg (I have the wig although she is already a brunette so probably doesn't need it)

Davis as ? Phil or Hades. Nick went as hades. Simple black toga and blue hair gel. It was lots of fun.

Hi, all. Feeling much better today and happy. About to go give the kids a bath and then the boys have Karate.

I have pot-luck at school tomorrow. Any suggestions for a yummy and EASY recipe I could make? I'd like to take something along the lines of side dish/main dish. We always have so many desserts and nothing substantial to eat. But I mean EASY!!!!!!!!

That calico bean recipe really is easy and delicious!!! People make such a fuss about it when I make it and I feel guilty because it is so easy.
