Way to go Nicholas!!

and how funny about the girls!!
Don't worry - Julia can be pretty headstrong too - I just have learned what battles are worth fighting - and sometimes let her freeze her tushie off can help her learn a valuable lesson!!

I have a question for you all regarding the Pixie Dust Fund

would you like me to send you pms to let you know if we are going to do something? some things I can announce in the thread - but in the case like Elin's obviously we don't want to announce on the thread that we are doing something - what do you all think?

I would just send out a pm that says -

The Pixie Dust will be sending something to so and so

that way - if you were wondering if we were going to - you would know

I think that's a good idea. If it's not too much trouble for you, that is.

Mmmm... I can tell it lasts a little longer than that: 10 years 3 months 11 days and going... And I have 2 of them! :woohoo: (Well the other one is almost 6).
On the other hand, can you tell me how long does a sweet little girl lasts? Mine is 17 months, and she is just adorable! :cloud9:

Monica

If you are lucky like I was it can last until they are 15 or 16. If on the other hand, you get one like my friends daughters, it ended at 12 or 13. When they get to be about 20, they start to sweeten up again (happened to both my friend & I).

I have a question about boys:

Cause I just don't understand them!!! Julia was never a physical child - she likes to run around and dance

but Nick - wants to fight and play star wars and jump off things and turns ANYTHING into a sword - he likes to hit - you know like Karate and stuff

He's not being malicious - that is just how he plays -

is this normal and if so how long is it going to last?
My oldest is 7 and still going so not sure how long it lasts. :confused3 I assume it's normal, I mean I don't allow them to watch any shows with fighting in them like power rangers, spiderman, etc. yet they still play like that. I just hope our furniture survives. :teeth:

My Jacob is 6 and is still thick into it. My DH is 38 and he still likes to swordfight and play star wars. So, your guess is as good as mine!

Last night Christopher couldn't fall asleep and about 9:30 I went to put something in the room next to his and I could hear him talking to himself. He was saying "Yeah, baby, you wanna piece of me?" Then Hiyah (the karate chop thing).
:rotfl2: :rotfl: Too funny. They're so cute at that age.

Completely normal. I think boys are into more "active" play, the roughhousing and such.

I can tell you that it lasts at least until 6 years, 4 months and 23 days.

Ok, Tammi, I have to ask, when is Nicholas' birthday? He and my Jacob are almost exactly the same age! Now we've got to get them together!

I've got a few pages to catch up on, but I thought you might like to see what I've been up to the last couple of days. My job for the travelin' Pals was to make them blankets. I did that yesterday and had a bit of material left that I thought would make cute sleep pants. I tried to find a pattern last night, but no luck in the 10" size for boy dolls. I ended up creating my own today and made these sleep pants. I need to locate more material in my basement in order to send a pair of pants and a pair of shorts with each one. These are what I have done so far.

Enjoy it! When Katie turned 7 we started getting a lot of "pre-teen" attitude. What's up with that? Some days she's so sweet and a lot of fun to be around, then other times I get a glimpse of what life will be like when she is actually a teen.

They're so adorable!!!!!! I can't wait to see them in person!! Great job!

That is completely normal. All 3 of my boys play that way. Nick is 10 1/2 and I see no sign of it ending soon. Of course Chris can be pulled into a good swordfight and he's 35 :lmao: :lmao:
