So according to Tia, I have yet to do Stage 6 and 8!
I would love to hear thatitdjbw said:I can call and talk to you in my South African accent and even bet you have never heard your daughters name pronounced like I say it!!!
Where is Nancy?? I was thinking about her earlier???
. My mother annouced to everyone at the dinner table that I gained too much weight. She also loudly said (when offered more dessert) that she didn't like any of what we had..mind you, she came empty handed as usual. I would like to say "Hey lady, if you don't like my dessert bring your own!!!"
But I ignore her comments because it wouldn't do me any good. I just stop talking to her & hope she'll get the message but she never does.
My MIL couldn't stop talking about herself (also as usual). If anyone mentions something they have done she chimes right in & say "yea I did that 20 years ago"...
ugh. There's more but I don't want to drag everyone down.
Just wanted to get that off my chest.

I am not very close to my mother. My dad was sick when I was a kid & my mother gave me to my grandmother & uncle to raise. They were like angels who swooped in & took such good care of me. I wouldn't have anything that I have today or be the person I am if it were not for them. My grandma died when I was 18 & my uncle Vinnie died in 1996 5 weeks after my first child was born. I was 27. I miss them dearly & wish they were both here to see my kids. Anyway thats the story there....this is why I would love to just take off with my DH & the kids & go to Disney for the holidays to avoid the rest of the family all together..
I promised myself when I was young I'd try to be a good mommy. I love my babies so much & couldn't imagine someone else raising them. I love to play with them, do crafts, listen to music with them, read to them...just BE with them. I think I go overboard even to the point of spoiling them sometimes because I want them to have such a happy childhood. Whoa..ok getting to heavy hereJust wanted to get that off my chest.

UP Disney said:Well, it is definitely more than just Pal Mickey in a box. I mean Pal Mickey will be in the box but she's right with the creativity I've learned here, it couldn't be just Pal Mickey in the box but part of the creativity is going to have to come from all of you. I'm not saying anything more!
Family can be so rude sometimes! I'm sorry you went through this. Your grandmother and uncle did a wonderful job raising you and your children are lucky to have you!mommykds said:We had a so-so Easter..We hosted dinner for about 20 guests...my Mom & my MIL together can drive me up a wall.
