I am really sad about this and I am dreading having him come home because I know when I see him I will be even more upset. If you all could keep up your continued prayers we would very much appreciate it!!!

Sorry to be such a downer on such a happy day...

Just got home. The appointment went as both John and I expected. Dr. Meyers agrees Rees is refluxing again. He said best case scenario is that it isn't as severe as it appears to be, and that Rees is just really sensitive to the acid. If that is the case, they will manage him with meds and diet. But, we have to find out just what it going on. So either this Friday or next Friday he will go to the Outpatient GI Lab at the hospital and have an Endoscopy and pH Probe. They will give him an IV and put him to sleep. They'll put a tube with a small camera down his esophagus into the stomach to view the anatomy, check for hernias, and check the status of the Fundo. Then Dr. Meyers will attach an electronic sensor to the inside of his esophagus. The sensor sends data via a wireless device to a gadget Rees will wear on his hip for 48 hours. It will tell the doctor the pH of the acid in his esophagus and show how bad the reflux is. He has to stop all Reflux meds that week and must eat a very acidic diet for the weekend (apple juice, oj, tomato products, etc) to make the stomach acid as bad as possible. It is the only way go get an accurate reading. Last time he had a pH probe was awful. without the meds, he refluxed horribly and was in a lot of pain. I'm hoping this time won't be as bad. After 48hours we take the data box back to the doctor to download and analyze the info. If it shows moderate reflux and the Endoscopy shows anything, then we will go to the Surgeon to repeat the Fundo.

That is all I know at the moment. Please pray it isn't as bad as it appears and Rees can avoid surgery. Thanks for all your support. It means a lot.

Oh Denise,
That makes me hurt even reading. :grouphug: :grouphug:

I haven't the nerve to tell DH that Pal Mickey will be joining us on vacation.

I started a travelling bear at work and we have a map with pins of each place he has been with pictures around it, I took him to the Bahamas, Australia and Korea last year and DH just went along with it, he won't even blink when Pal Mickey joins us along with bear.

Let me upload my itin to photobucket and I'll post it for you!

(My T shirts are ALREADY on my itin!!!)

ETA: Ok..any tricks on getting my itin from Word into photobucket without taking a pic of it?!

You are so funny!!!! What do you think we don't believe you? I don't think there is a way to get a word document on photobucket. You could copy & paste the t-shirt itinerary on to here! :rotfl2:

OK, here are 2 more princess designs. Sorry, only a prince in our house so I am not up to date on all of them. I think this covers them all... :confused3
As always, I am willing to PM them to my DDA family with either logo (or without!)

Here's another "my DH pays more attention to me than I thought" story

I was telling him Dawn called me and how nice it was to talk with her and that even though I knew she had a southern accent it still threw me -

and he said to me

"Just wait until you talk to your friend from England - I bet you don't think about her talking with a British Accent!!"

I can call and talk to you in my South African accent and even bet you have never heard your daughters name pronounced like I say it!!!

Where is Nancy?? I was thinking about her earlier???

HI Everybody;

We're back from our marathon day!!

Dawn-I can't tell you how excited I am for you!!! It is So nice to have one of both!!! Little girls are So much fun, especially to dress up!!! Congratulations!!!!

Denise- I will keep Rees in my prayers that everything goes as smoothly as possible, and can be done as simply as possible!!!! Your family is always in our prayers, I really admire you and I think that you have a truly amazing family!!!!

Unfortunately, I really don't have any great news to report as far as Cody goes. The tumor was much bigger than they originally thought, and it was wrapped around some nerves. It was a very invasive surgery, and he bled a lot. He has a 7 inch long 5 inch wide and 4 inch deep incision with 3 layers of stitches. They also think that his bowel may be affected since it was SO near there, he may now have some incontinence problems because of the surgery, we should see through the week. The Vet did not sound optimistic, but we have to wait about a week for the report to see what it was and if it had spread. Dave is headed up to the Vet now to decide if we should bring him home tonight, the Vet said that it was up to us to decide, he can stay overnight or go home w/ a lot of pain and meds. If we do not bring him home tonight it will be sometime tomorrow. The surgery was also a lot more expensive than we thought it would be unfortunately. I am really sad about this and I am dreading having him come home because I know when I see him I will be even more upset. If you all could keep up your continued prayers we would very much appreciate it!!!

Sorry to be such a downer on such a happy day...

Thanks

Julie

Julie, Big and Bigger hugs for you and your family. Give Cody a big hug when he does come home.

My son just told me this weekend his Golden--Jake has a lump on his upper lip and the Dr thinks it is ok for now. My thoughts went to you right away. Now Jake is 14 years old but any age is hard when you get bad news.

Terry

OK That is HUGE! Sorry!!! And no laughing at my obsessive planning!!! (Anyone figure out my color coding yet??) :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: Just call me OCD.

Full day. 7:40am to 2:20pm. Bus picks up at 7:05am so I really won't be able to stay up late every night. I'll have to start posting early with Tammi and Elin!

And Clare -- she is up with us too!

Should I tell you I have a notebook with our plans in it? Organized by what we will use first (flights, reservation, copies of my IATAN card just in case..) all the way down to an (abreviated one day) plan of attack, optional theme park tours that we are still considering (it'd be cool if they did a Halloween Back Stage type tour like they do at Christmas time) and just about anything else you can imagine that is Disney related. Speaking of which, I have to add Denise into my "airport travel" time slot and Tia for Specto on 10/7 with "really big towel" next to it! :)

.....Oh wait! Notebooks and folders are common here! :)

Heck yeah they are! Mine will be chronologocal by the time we leave. I will also print out two copies of our light reservations so that we will have those "filed" under the right day. I also have pages for each park listing the kids meals offered at each counter servoce. This started after a trip with me sister 4 years ago when she really wanted pizza at MK and we couln't find it anywhere. Now if she (or DD) wants something in partucular we consult the list and off we go. My other odd page is my Potato Head parts list. I keep a checklist of what I have/need so that I don't duplicate. Oh yeah, and my envelopes with the money designated for anything needed...each tip, certain souveniers, stroller rentals, etc.

What was the comment earlier about us all being a little mental? :teeth:
