They are similar in idea, how they gather data, and use. A Pneumogram is to monitor respiratory function and gas levels for Apnea (BTW, they all had this in the NICU too). The first time Rees had a pH probe he had the tube with the sensors down his nose and a NG tube for feeding. At least this time he won't have the tubes which should be much better.
I must have had the names mixed up. I know they were checking for apnea too, but the main reason for it was reflux. Thank God Rees doesn't have to have it down his nose. I'm sure it was worse for me than it was Christopher, but it's one of the worst things I've been through as a mother.

This may be a dumb question  but how will they get the transmitter out? Will they have to put him back to sleep?

Thanks everyone. We're all very excited. Christopher actually changed his mind a few days ago and said he hoped it was a sister.

She did all of the technical stuff first and said we'd find out the gender last. She (the baby) measures 2 days ahead of my due date so all of that was on target. She was very wiggly so it took a little time to get all of the measurements. She showed no characteristics for Down Syndrome, the spine, heart, kidneys and bladder looked good, and no cleft palate. Because the baby was so wiggly I told the tech I hoped it would cooperate so we could find out what it is and she said "oh, this baby's cooperating, I've already seen it." When she said "it" I just figured she saw a boy. So she went back to the "area" and asked if we saw the 3 little slits. We said yes, and she said that's a girl, a boy would stick out and look kind of like a turtle :rotfl: (I swear that's what she said). I admit I was in complete shock.

My c-section is scheduled for 8/29/06 at 11am.

I am so happy for you! And, see, even the Tech is on the turtle joke!

I'd buy it for ME.. oh, I meant Dawn! ;)

Before you all ruined me, I'd have bought it for Katrina. Poor thing loves real, live turtles that swim in the water & have hard shells (what else can I say so you know I'm not talking about the human anatomy variety?). Now every time I see one (not attached to a human), instead of thinking about my sweet daughter & how much she loves them, I'll be thinking of Denise with her 15 minutes of attention & Amy with her Ewwwwww's. Shame on you for corrupting me like this! I was a sweet innocent thing before joining this thread! :lmao:

Well, they may have put a Pneumogram AND a pH probe down at the same time to test Christopher. I asked the doctor the same question about the transmitter. After 7 days the skin it is attached to sloughs off and it will just pass through the GI tract. At least this time he said I don't have to worry about Poop Patrol. I was giggling when he told me how it would come out thinking about the DDA. He probably thought I was mental.

 Guess what just came in the mail? My Disney Catalog order!! Have you all gotten the new one? I ordered the khaki Mickey capris, 2 of the Mickey polos (Turquoise and Pink) and the Mickey tennis shoes. It is the cutest!!!

Here's another "my DH pays more attention to me than I thought" story

I was telling him Dawn called me and how nice it was to talk with her and that even though I knew she had a southern accent it still threw me -

and he said to me

"Just wait until you talk to your friend from England - I bet you don't think about her talking with a British Accent!!"

Ok, Clare, when you come to Disney you'll have to call Kate!

A big thanks to all my DDA Sisters who posted on the Dining Thread! I don't think that guy will know what hit him if he ever comes back to see the flack he got for the "Chill Out" comment!
Never underestimate the power of the DDA!!!!

What's the link so I can go post?

Hi Everyone!!!! :wave2:

I haven't been around in a while but I have done my best in trying to stay caught up. It sounds like everyone is doing well.

Lynn

Hi, Lynn! We need to have a DDA Atlanta meet with me, you, and Julia. We should go to Chick Fil A so we can torture Marti!

So all you West Coast DDA's, how close are you all to Reno? I found out today I am headed out there May 1st. I am doing some independent contract work for the company I worked with before I had Emma. 6 days in Reno, without my DH or DD's. But the biggest plus is that for 24 hour of actual work I will be able to completely pay for our WDW trip. :cool1:

Is there anything that I should do while I am there. I won't have a car so that will limit my ability to do a lot I am sure. But would like to know if there is something I shouldn't miss! I will have a lot of time to myself.

I am about 3- 3 1/2 give or take from Reno. May 1st you say...... I might need to look and see what we are doing. DH will be gone on a trip, but the girls might need to go on a ride. Let me take a look at it.

LOL I'm the same way. Stephanie has the whole turtle outfit from Gymboree. Now whenever she wears it, I think of "other" turtles. LOL

Do the clothes run big or small? anyone know? Those would be really cute for our Sept trip and for teaching school.

I am a size 8 and I got the shirts in a Medium and they fit perfect! They are fitted slightly at the sides (which I love!) I will probably air dry them though... also, without trying to be crass, my "girls" aren't the biggest so someone with a better endowment than I may need a large :rotfl:

The pants I took in a Medium also and they are a little more roomy, but still fit very nice!
