May I ask why you cooked them for over an hour? Did you boil all the water away? :teeth:

Amy :)

Well Miss Smarty Pants I cooked them for over an hour becuse I hasd so many and it was in such a big pot :rolleyes2 !!! They weren't coming to a boil for a while so I turned them up and cooked them longer that way and then I had heard tho let them sit on the stove in warm for about 15 mins.. That equaled out to about an hour. Also I am very picky about boiled eggs and I have to have them 100% cooked no undone parts so I always cook them a little longer than most people...SO THERE!!! :teeth:

I just gave Carli and Kyle a nice long bath and now Kyle is sobbing in pain, saying his ear hurts....This may be a long night!!!! Croos your fingers that a little Motrin helps him through the night.....

Hope you guys have a great Easter!!!! What are you all doing???

Denise (and anyone else interested) - I went to Babies R Us today to return the Chicco stroller that I bought in Feb and is already feeling rickety. While I was there, Terra was asleep so I test drove the Maclaren Triumph (yes, I moved a sleeping Terra to the Maclaren to get the feel for her weight in it and how it looked comfort wise for her). I also spent about 45 minutes folding it one handed (does so pretty easily btw), comparing it in size to me Peg Perego and comparing the Triumph to the Quest and Volo. The Quest is about $60 more than the Triumph. The Volo is about $40 cheaper than the Triumph. I will be getting the Triumph and think it might work well for Rees to.

The only differences between the Triumph and the Quest that I could tell were the following:
Q has a small window in the canopy and the T doesn't.
T has a strap holding up the seat back and can be losened to recline as little or much as you want.
Q has two recline positions that adjust by bars on the side (but very easily also)
Q has extenders that allow the seat to extend further to support baby's legs
T just has the shorter seat for older kids
T weighs 12lbs, Q weights 13lbs.
Otherwise they were the same

The differences between Triumph and Volo:
V's seat is plastic mesh, T's is fabric
V does not recline at all
V weighs 9lbs, T weighs 12lbs

Hope that helps some! I am definitely going to order the Triumph. I figure that if I can get it for $110 with free shipping as I've found on several sites, then that isn't much more than one week's rentals at WDW and we're going at least twice in the next year.

I hate my physical therapist - okay not really -

but I went from being able to function with occasional buckling of my knee - to constant pain and buckling all the time - by night time I can barely walk!!

I know it is going to get worse before it gets better but OWWWW!!!

Hope it gets better before your trip!!!! :goodvibes

Denise - you could fly into DCA or IAD (Dulles) or BWI - this is about 45 minutes away - but I think Marti could get you b/c she is staying near there

Is the meet the 14-16th of July?

My mom has asked me to come during my vacation time and she lives 5 minutes from BWI.......hmmmmmmm, something to ponder.

Now back to your regularly scheduled chat while I catch up on 40+pages.

Hi all!

Sorry I missed the Minnie/Mickey talk last night! I almost spilled my Diet Coke all over the keyboard!!

While you were chatting we had our first fire in our outdoor fireplace last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DH spent all last summer building our patio and the fireplace and we finally finished it the weekend before we went to WDW. By the time we got back it was too cold in the evenings to enjoy it :(. The whole block came down to help us celebrate- we had a ball!
Here's a picture of it:

Hi All - my typical random drive by posting:

Guess what we made today?? The tye die cupcakse - thanks Dawn!!!! While I know you posted it, I couldn't get Kristine out of my mind! Matt absolutely loved doing it !

I have another Easter tip that we just learned this year - I'll never dye another egg using the dye and vinegar. Matt's second grade teacher gets credit for this one: Using a pin, puncture the ends of a raw egg, blow out the guts (Matt LOVED this part) and then decorate using Sharpie markers. We bought a pack of 18 for about $14 at Target and it has some cool colors. Use a hot glue gun to attach a ribbon to the top and you can hang them. Keep them after Easter for next year in an egg container. So much better than trying to boil them (OK OK I didn't do a great job with that either Julie!) and you get to keep them year after year. I'll include pictures tomorrow. But they come out cool!

Oh my :rotfl2:

My DH has been bugging me all day. He told me to warn my DDA friends that there's a full moon so the turtle's want to come out.

Does that mean your trip out west would be off?

Kate, I know I've told you this and I'm going to sound like a broken record but I love, love, love my Pal Mickey signature. Everytime I post, I get a big smile on my face. I enjoy looking at everyone else's as well. They are all so amazing. Thanks for adding joy to our days.

Denise - I watched Idol last night and was thinking about you when SImon was giving Kellie her feedback.

She said she couldn't understand a word of what he said because of his accent - he said he had the same problem - to which Kellie said, but I don't have an accent!

Dh and I were :rotfl: because to us Simon doesn't have an accent and Kellie most definitely does :rotfl:

I love her accent though - it's so stereotypical American for us to hear that - like it is for you guys to hear posh Londeners, when only the minority of people actually speak like that! Not me anyway :goodvibes

We went for dinner last night and the young lady showed us to the table and then asked me a ??, I had to ask her 3 times what she had said as it sounded so garbled DH and the kids and myself could not understand her. The kids had there school lgo shirts on and she asked ' Do both the kids go to Woodland'?? Her baby brother goes there!!! it was so funny even the kids never understood her and they are born and bred here!!!!
