But I have to stay amused somehow -- Skunka is in bed snoring...

Great - this is my 2,000 post and my husband is going to read it tomorrow and say "all you came up with for you 2,000 post is I'm in bed snoring..."

I have such a lame life....

Congrats on number 2000!!!  :cheer2:

I am so far back.... :guilty:

Sorry Kate, didn't mean to give you an ewww moment. :rotfl:

All this turtle talk made me think of something.

One of the sororities has the turtle as their mascot. The running joke on campus was, once they're on their back they are screwed.

Becky

Oh that is TOO funny! If it's the same one (as there are a few), they have quite the appropriate reputation to match! (A stereotype I know, but still funny in this instance  )

Hi Guys;

We just got some bad news tonight about our 4 year old dog Cody. He is a big Golden Labrador Retriever.

Dave took him to the vet today for his regular check-up and shots and they felt a lump on the top of his hind legs. They did a needle biopsy to see if it was anything to be concerned about.

We went out for a quick dinner and when we got home there was a message from the Vet asking us to call them immediately. We called and they said that it was a tumor of some sort w/many active cells to it. I don't think that it sounds too good by what she said. We have to take him in right away to have the tumor removed and sent to a pathologist. If it is benign that will be all that we have to do, if it is malignant there is not much they can do.

He is the absolute best dog in the world, he is so gentle and loving. He looks after the kids and lets them do anything to him. I don't know what I would do without him!!!

I am also worrying about how much this will cost, I mean we already paid almost $300 for today. Obviously though we will do anything that we can do for him!!!

I know that in light of all of the many hardships that I have heard about on this board this may sound trivial, but he is such a big part of our family!!! If anyone can spare a prayer or two I would very much appreciate it!!!

Thanks,

Julie

Oh no! :( I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it turns out better than you are anticipating :wizard: :grouphug:

I just spent the last hour in the basement listening to our tornado warning siren. I am so scared of storms, when I was younger our home was destroyed by a tornado & that put a fear in me I will never forget.

My oldest ds is spending the night with a friend. I called to make sure he was ok, as we were talking the sirens went off & we were disconnected. I was in panic mode! Garrett called me back in tears wanting to know if I was ok. This broke my heart, it was so hard to hold back the tears. My baby was so scared & worried about me.

Anyway I think everything will be ok now, my heart can slow down. I don't mean to sound so dramatic, but this is a big fear for me. The worst is dh was outside with the video camera, what was he thinking :scared1:

Hope everyone else that was in or is in the path of this storm is ok.

So glad you're okay....

Keep us posted on how it works. When I became a lifeguard a couple years ago, I started tanning a little bit and then with the Florida trip in March, I usually have a little color all year now. Until then, I could have given you a run for the title of whitest woman in America.

I'm afraid that title is mine! I used to lay out all the time when I was a teen, but I would burn and turn red as a lobster, and then it would peel off and I would be as white as ever. Then when I was a senior in high school, I was diagnosed with skin cancer. I had several patches cut off my back, and ever since then, I've decided that if Snow White could handle it, so could I!!!! So, if you ever run into someone that is so white you have to shield your eyes, that'll be me!

We were going to go see it today, but decided to wait. I'm glad we did. Every time the previews come on DS asks if that's Madagascar. It looked like a total ripoff.

We're actually skipping this one. It does look exactly like Madagascar. I don't think they'll even notice.

Oh, yes. We have Harry and Hermoine both!

Somehow I just knew you would be on the ball, Harry Potter-wise.

Speaking of; DH is so glad that Sunday is Easter. Jacob is getting Harry Potter 4 in his basket, and Alan is getting desperate to watch it. Guess what we'll be doing Sunday night?

Denise - it sounds as if the evaluation went as well as it could. Rees will get what he needs when and where he needs it! Glad it turned out best for him.

Hmmmmmmmm.... what a task... to think up costumes for three adorable little children.... do ya think we are up for that? :scratchin

But thinking of cool ideas (different and weather wise) will be a little tougher!

OK - the neat thing is that this works for both Amy and I!!!
