I love all the pictures everyone is posting! :goodvibes

Kate, I find it hard to believe that Nick is afraid of characters. Even Buzz? Will he go near them if Julia is with him?

Goodnight my friends!
Amy :)

Nope - only the face characters - I will pull out some of him screaming to prove it!!!

At last count I have over 25 books. Some are just fluff like Strawberry Shortcake and then I have others that retell the Easter Story. I just go to the bookstore and look at what is being showcased in the Children's section. I'm planning on doing that tomorrow. I'll let you know what I get. Last year I bought "Easter Parade" It's simply the words to the song, all illustrated with a Father Bunny and his daughter. It's so darling, and it has the sheet music to the song at the back of the book. DH and Katie love to sing it together. I wish I could play the piano and video tape them at the same time.

That's one we just got from the library by Irving Berlin. We love it!

We didn't get a digital until 2001 right before Christopher was born. I have tons of hardcopy pictures I'm tired of storing.

Just finished watching the Ring Two. It was ok. Headed to bed as we may have bad weather later tonight which means the kids will be up. Kids have a b'day party tomorrow and then John and I have our big night out.

Love the pictures everyone. They are so fun to look at. I'll have to try to scan some of our Disneymoon. You saw our first family trip to the World pics live in December!

Dawn, Happy 11th Anniversary to you!!

Told you I've created a monster! Don't worry, the novelty will wear off and I won't bore you with pictures quite so much. :)

OMG I'm way back on page 1093.
Been so busy.
I can't tell you how happy I'll be when We are finally in our own place.

I have a question to ask.
Don't take sides.
I just want honest answers.
I have friends @ work who see me come to work Monday after Monday.
Worn out from the weekends of getting this house ready for sale.
3 of them offered to come over & help out for FREE.
Just wanted a good meal.
XDH said no & was mad.
Now he wants his 21 yr old unemployed by choice DS to stain the deck.
Wants me to spilt the cost to pay him.
H*** NO!! :furious:
I'm sorry you don't charge family.
I find it disrepectfull to even ask to be paid to do something for family.
Sorry I just needed to vent.

Brendita, from what you've written in the past, his son is probably just as lazy as he sounds and you'd end up doing all the work yourself AND paying him, and getting yourself all uptight. I say if he insists on the DS doing it, let HIM buy the supplies and let HIM pay the DS. I bet your free friends will look awfully good to him then.

Good luck no matter what. This will soon be behind you and you won't have to answer to anyone but yourself.

I'M STILL WAY BACK THERE PAGE 1109.

Thanks for everyones feedback on the help matter.
I would take up my friends offer.
I't's just now they won't come over.
As they feel it will just make things worse.
This is the last weekend to finish.
Come hell or high water I'M DONE.

Next weekend I swear I'm going shopping.
I need some t's, capris, air walks.
Just new clothes in general for my new me.
#1. Clothes that fit (old size 12, new size 8).
#2. Nice weather (mostly have jean & sweats).
#3. It's all about me clothes.

You go girl. Four sizes down is fantastic! Go get a couple of new outfits now, then when you sell the house and lose another 170 lbs (or however much xdh weighs) get a bunch more and start your new life as an independent woman.

ETA: Sorry I called you Brendita on the previous post, Jo. Sometimes my fingers go faster than my brain.

I know you all want to know if Nancy and I look alike - so here is a wedding picture that you can decide - Nancy is on the left - we have one other sister and then a brother - this is a picture of the 4 of us

But this is the really scary thing - below are pictures of us growing up

This is me and Nancy's daughter

This is me and Nancy's other daughter: (we have a picture of me at 4 that I sent to my other sister and said look at this new photo and she had no clue it was not Nancy's daughter!!!)

When we go out - people always assume her children belong to me and my children belong to her - it is scary!! At one of our regular restaurants they even do this - one day Nancy said to her - you KNOW she is her daughter why do you keep asking me? The girl laughed and just said b/c she LOOKS like you!!

I'm getting really frustrated with a co-worker and her mom, who used to be a co-worker. They are Disney lovers, too, and have a trip planned for September 23-30. I told them about the free dining, and the mom called CRO on Wednesday to add the free dining to their reservation. The cast member told her that there were no more free dining openings for Caribbean Beach. He said that the day the promotion started for the general public that there were 300 people on hold, most for the CB. I told her I thought that was a bunch of malarkey and the cast member was one of those who could care less, and that she should call back. I also put her in touch with an agent at Small World Vacations who said that there WAS availability at CB. However, she didn't even call because she was "afraid of losing her room." It seems that when she made her original reservation, she asked for Martinique or Trinidad and was "assured" that she would get either one. She said that her room was more important to her than the dining plan. I told her that Martinique is the preferred building, and if the cast member assured her that she would get a room there, she either paid for preferred and should just ask for preferred again through Small World, or else the CM who told her she would get Martinique was just telling her what she wanted to hear. I also told her to call CRO again, to get a different cast member. There are three adults going and the free dining would save them around $800 if they were paying for the dining plan, and much more if they didn't have it at all. I checked Disney's website tonight and there is still availability for free dining at CB. Should I call and tell her this, or just stay out of it now? I just don't understand her thinking! The daughter, who still works with me, would really like to have the dining plan, but defers to mom (maybe mom's paying for everyone). Am I overly Disney-educated so that I can't see mom's point of view, or is she really being stupid?

That is really scary!!!! It is amazing, especially the picture of Julia and Nancy!!! These are the things I really miss being an only child---I am constantly looking for similarities in my cousins :guilty: ...

Your wedding pictures are really good, your dress was SO pretty!!!

Your parents must be very proud of their very nice looking family!!!!

Someday I really have to learn how to post pictures~!

We don't charge family is how I was raised especially parents. I do for my parents out of respect for all they did to raise me. If he wants to pay him instead let him, I wouldn't split the cost though as you have had free help offered. Just my opinion.

Kate, that is a little scary, but it just proves that you and your sister have very strong genes. One of my nieces looks a lot like me and people used to think she was my daughter, and my son looks a lot like my brother.

If I can learn, you can learn, and I just learned tonight. It just all of a sudden seemed clear. It's really fun. I think my epiphany started with a post a few pages back when someone resized a picture for someone and then told them how to set up their avatar (sorry I don't remember who it was, but thanks).

I think you are right, Steffy. I will be 55 this summer. Andwe didn't have TV until I was in Kindergarten :rotfl: That was more my parents' choice than there not being television. And, although I grew up in town, it was not uncommon for people in our area of rural PA to not have a television until well into the 1950s.

The only reason we had one of the first, is because my Dad had a tv repair business... My Dad has held two or more jobs all of his life. He's still has a job now. He's 90....... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Not only that, staining is hard work, and if you do it wrong there is basically not much you can do; one you start you can't really stop until the task is finsihed. If he's the "I need a break every ten minutes" kind of person I would put my foot down and say no! The last thing you want is a splotchy looking deck.

I promised some photos earlier so dh and I took a stroll down memory lane tonight. It was very nice as my parents took all 3 boys for a sleepover at their house tonight. So here goes my little stroll down memory lane with a disney time line:

Our next trip will be our first trip home. Wow how times have changed.
Thanks for humoring my trip down memory lane.

Deb

Deb -- I just loved seeing how your family has grown up over the past 14 years. Thanks for sharing all those photos!
