Just stopping by while I wait for my pizza to be delivered - DH asked for a half and half and they showed up with a Hawaiian yuck! So we've sent it back and are waiting for another... I'm starving!!! :sad2:

Too bad I can't eat pizza anymore. I love a good Hawaiian! So what is the half and half?

I promised some photos earlier so dh and I took a stroll down memory lane tonight. It was very nice as my parents took all 3 boys for a sleepover at their house tonight. So here goes my little stroll down memory lane with a disney time line:

And this is last trip October 2005. We stayed at Pop Century and POFQ. Went to our first MNSSHP and had a wonderful time. Nick was 10, Hunter turned 8 the day we flew home and Colby was almost 3. These are our tie dye Mickey shirts.

Our next trip will be our first trip home. Wow how times have changed.
Thanks for humoring my trip down memory lane.

Deb

Wow Deb, what a neat chronology! You have a great looking family, and it is fun looking at the old pictures, isn't it?

This is what is wrong with my knee: Patellar subluxation

The kneecap is designed to fit in the center of this groove, and slide evenly within the groove--this is called patellar tracking. In some patients, the kneecap is pulled towards the outside of the knee.

patients who experience an unstable kneecap have a patella that does not track evenly within its groove on the femur.

So I have to have physical therapy for the next four weeks - twice in the office and then a rigorous home routine - which he said will be pretty extensive and be ongoing

He said my knee buckles b/c my muscles decide they are sick of working so hard so they just shut down. I need to be particularly careful on steps as it is common to happen on steps and he doesn't want me to fall

No knee brace yet but I told him I was going to WDW for an all-girls trip at the end of May

now for the BEST part: he is a Disney fan and promised he would have me ready to go!!!

he said if my knee doesn't seem better at my next appt we will think about a brace for the trip

and he said it isn't a problem that they treat with surgery unless nothing else works after a long period of time!!

Good news that it is fixable without surgery Kate!!

And a brace at WDW isn't bad. I've done it twice...

yeah, I see that...but his dorm room was a set of bunkbeds...not lofts...the room was 8x8....felt like i was in a closet.
Reminds me of my dorm room which was U of I. Of course it was University of IA instead of University of Illinois. We swapped the bunk beds for loft beds.

The last 2 are a boy or girl design.

Kristin - I may have to ask you for your designs for our trip to Disneyland in June. DH saw your designs and said he would totally wear a shirt like that.

Hi Everybody  ,

Just checking in to see what's going on. Dave and I just got back from dinner out just the two of us, Carli is at Peter Pan and Kyle was w/ my mom. It was nice to get out just the two of us for a change!!! Dinner was OK (I got seafood fettuccine -blech) -I wanted a steak SO bad.

The weather was pretty nasty for a while there, but I don't think that we got as much rain as some people did!!!

I hope everybody has a great weekend, I should be around, just doing more spring cleaning!!!

I am SO looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow, I am beat!!! I also have had a splitting headache in my temples for over 3 weeks now just about everyday, I hope it's just due to sleep deprivation or sinuses/allergies. I feel like an addict w/ the amount of Excedrin/Tylenol I have taken recently!!! I hope it goes away soon.

Take Care!!!

Julie :goodvibes

P.S. So far so good as far as being able to make it for the DDA trip, the parents of the kids I sit for are so far being very accommodating!!! I am still waiting to talk to a couple of others, but I'm not too worried about it. I will probably be making my (hopefully earlier) reservations this weekend!!!
Alleve tends to work better for me. :wizard: Hope you feel better.

Thanks for the compliment. I wish I had the body now that I did at 21! I was strange to see how much weight Chris and I put on over the years, then the last trip we had lost some :thumbsup2 . I still can't believe that I was ever that thin :confused3 I can wear my wedding dress again although it is much tighter now :rotfl: That was my goal when I started losing weight 3 years ago. I'm not sure why I had that goal as I don't think I'll ever wear it again. We will be in WDW for our 15th anniversary. All my loves together again.

I just wanted to say thank you to the DIS and the DDA for fueling my Disney addiction, my Diet Coke addiction, allowing me to have a place to celebrate and cry without being judged, and giving me a home away from home. This is a wonderful group of women and men, and I'm proud to be a DDA! I love you all very much.

Now, on to 10,000!

Hooray for Denise! Isn't it amazing how we've all come together?!? I thank my lucky stars every day for my family here. I feel so much closer to you than to people here in my own neighborhood.

Grand opening of Expedition Everest is this weekend. Just saw a video on the local news for it. I wanna go and ride it. I have a feeling whatever the next celebration is at WDW will be announced this weekend.

So I am off to work. I don't wanna go out in the pouring rain, I'd rather sleep but unfortunately that is not an option. Night all and play nice.

I had a good laugh tonight while at Nick's Poetry exhibition. One of the poem styles that they had to write was to write their first and last name down a piece of paper. Then they had to use each letter to relate somehow to the poet. It could be adjectives describing their qualities or a hobby, favorite vacation spot etc as long as it related in some way to the writer. Nicholas had handsome, cool, nice, incredible, outstanding and the big laugh, Buff. I couldn't believe that he chose Buff as he is lazy and a bit fluffy around the middle now. We all got a good laugh, but not in front of him of course. :rotfl2: I guess we've instilled a good amount of self esteem in him. :rotfl2: He is anything but Buff. I think the rest was spot on though.

Okay, now I'm scaring myself. I just taught myself to put photos in my signature. I know it's too big, but I'll leave it there for a bit. Next I'm going to learn how to post pictures in my posts. Do I just go to photobucket and put the url in here the same as I did for the siggie?

It really smells good in my house (well, mobile home) right now. My son and grandson, and son's friend love my meatballs and sauce, so last night Tanya and I (the granddaughter who's going to WDW with me in August) and I made 95 meatballs, and I put the sauce together. It's been cooking in the crockpot for hours now, and it smells wonderful. Daughter, granddaughters and I will have spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tomorrow, and then I will freeze the rest and take it with me on the long-awaited very short trip to Norfolk to visit the rest of my family. Tomorrow it's baking oatmeal raisin cookies (grandson's favorite) and freezing them for the trip, then Wednesday night making pickle dip for son. We're leaving at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. I made a reservation at a motel in Delaware for Thursday night (it has an indoor pool so we can at least relax on the way down). Then we will finish the drive Friday morning and arrive early afternoon. Son doesn't get home from work until 8:30 p.m., but hopefully grandson will be off. If not, then we'll just go to VA Beach and walk the boardwalk for awhile! Then have to drive back on Sunday. I'll probably leave Norfolk around noon on Sunday and get home around 9:00 p.m. Darn work anyway. Retirement is looking better and better.

I'd love the recipe for your pickle dip. It sounds yummy to me!

Ours changes every year. This year it's April 17-21.

To post pictures you need to put
after the url and then is should work.

Glynis, see page 1184. It's probably not too good for your diet (or anyone else's) though.

Thanks, Deb. I think I'll go and try it. I think I've created my own monster.
