OMG I'm way back on page 1093.
Been so busy.
I can't tell you how happy I'll be when We are finally in our own place.

I have a question to ask.
Don't take sides.
I just want honest answers.
I have friends @ work who see me come to work Monday after Monday.
Worn out from the weekends of getting this house ready for sale.
3 of them offered to come over & help out for FREE.
Just wanted a good meal.
XDH said no & was mad.
Now he wants his 21 yr old unemployed by choice DS to stain the deck.
Wants me to spilt the cost to pay him.
H*** NO!!
I'm sorry you don't charge family.
I find it disrepectfull to even ask to be paid to do something for family.
Sorry I just needed to vent.

NO, that story wasn't true. I said that to exagerate how tinker1bell reacted when she saw the Epcot bus...

I said she ran over kids and the elderly... I was being sarcastic..... we play like that.....

That is seriously ABSURD - I would tell him if he wants to pay him that is fine but you will not be splitting the cost as you know someone who will do it for free!!

Oh, I got the sisters mixed up on this one. I believe that you didn't see anyone in your way because you only had eyes for the characters!

It is so neat that you have each other to share your love of Disney with. My sister would think I was nuts if I went sprinting across to see the characters (and I would do it too).

I see tinker1bell beat me to defending herself!!!

It is so hard for us to not book another free dining trip.....

I was being sarcastic too and teasing you! I thought that it was you and tinker1bell had told the story. Tinker1bell did come on and tell me it was her and that she still swears that no one got trampled. I teased her again. You'll see the postings eventually as you catch up!

Actually, I think your story about Mickey is even funnier now that I know you were the one teasing her about the bus. A case of the pot calling the kettle black, I think!!!

I promised some photos earlier so dh and I took a stroll down memory lane tonight. It was very nice as my parents took all 3 boys for a sleepover at their house tonight. So here goes my little stroll down memory lane with a disney time line:

This is a photo of Chris and I at the Alter on our Wedding day, July 25, 1992.

This is us walking into the reception

Here is a photo of us with some large stuffed Mickey and Minnies. It is strange how the characters have changed so much in just 14 years, but then again so have we.

And here was our deluxe honeymoon suite Fort Wilderness. We had very little money at the time and neither of us had been to Disney before. It was just fine and started our Disney obsession. Who'd have thought then that we would buy DVC? I guess we're moving up in the world.

This was our first Disney Vacation as a family. April 1998. Fort Wilderness Cabins that trip. Nick was 2 1/2 and after getting lost at MCO he was put on a leash for our sanity. Hunter was just 6 months on this trip.

Here we are in April 2000. We stayed off site at the Holiday Inn Family Suites which is now the Nicholodeon Suites. It was less than $100/night for 9 of us. Nick was 4 1/2 and Hunter was 2 1/2. Amazing how our family had grown.

Here we are in November 2001. We drove down with our Motor Home and stayed at Fort Wilderness. Most people, including us were afraid to fly at that time. This was right after 9/11 so the parks were pretty slow that year. We were there over Thankgiving and got to do the first MVMCP that year. It was great seeing all the christmas decorations and Osburne Lights.

This photo included our newest family member. This was August 2003. Nick was almost 8, Hunter almost 6 and Colby 9 months. We drove down again, this time with our new travel trailer and stayed at Fort Wilderness. The shirts that all my guys are wearing were ones that I made. I couldn't get enough material to make one for myself, but those shirts got a ton of attention.

Next trip was July 2004. Drove again with our Travel Trailer. Had to get another trip out of those APs. Nick was 8, Hunter was 6 and Colby was 1. Those are one of the T-shirts that I designed prior to meeting you guys

And this is last trip October 2005. We stayed at Pop Century and POFQ. Went to our first MNSSHP and had a wonderful time. Nick was 10, Hunter turned 8 the day we flew home and Colby was almost 3. These are our tie dye Mickey shirts.

Our next trip will be our first trip home. Wow how times have changed.

I DID IT!! I even resized it to fit. This is my son who will be 38 on April 17th.

Now I'll work on resizing the signature picture. It's getting late, but I'm having lots of fun!!

Family do NOT get paid - they volunteer! My brother assisted my DH with our deck. He did quite a bit by himself when my DH had to be at work. My brother was on his vacation visiting us! My sister & her fiance helped us build our horse barn when they were visiting once. If he wants his son to get paid, then he should pay for it out of his own pocket.

If your friends offer again, take them up on it. I'm sure it would give them a good feeling to help you out and obviously it isn't worth worrying about what your ex thinks since he is so off base on this!!!!

I see nothing wrong with having your friends come over and help if they offer. We've done that with friends of ours. I never expect to be paid, and I know that if I need something done, they would come and help out. I agree, you don't pay your children (or other family members) for helping.

Stick to your guns, girl!

No way, if he thinks his son needs to be paid then he can do it. In my book family helps out family and no money is exchanged. Make Xdh do it himself. You shouldn't have to do everything.

Thanks for sharing. That picture of Julia with short hair is so cute. I couldn't have pictured her with short hair if I had tried. Nice wedding photo too.

I love all the trips down memory lane the last couple of days. I'll post some of mine tomorrow. I got the pictures out but have to scan them. Too many years of no digital!!!!

Kate, Julia is such a ham. You are going to have to keep a close eye on her as she gets older. She'll definitely be turning some boy's heads.

Kate, I find it hard to believe that Nick is afraid of characters. Even Buzz? Will he go near them if Julia is with him?

We're headed to bed. We have some cleaning to do before our dinner tomorrow night. The steaks are marinating! I'm really trying not to get my hopes up, but it would be so freakin' awesome if my friend decides to buy our house!!!!
