Thanks Steffy!!!!!

Goodnight everybody - hope those not feeling well or blue wake up right tomorrow! :goodvibes

Hi Wonderful DDA...

I'm way too far back to figure out where. That is a job for Tuesday.

Just got back from New York, New York. Town so nice they named it twice.

The American Girl Place is amazing. My DGD walked in and was immediately overwhelmed. The photo shoot for her and the doll..... wonderful.

The little play that tells you all about all the dolls.... amazing.

Have your doll's hair set and made to look like yours.... adorable...

Dress like your doll..... cute

Dinner at the cafe when your doll gets a chair and served tea.... priceless....

What memories.....

And Disney might just suggest fast pass to the Empire State Buiding and the Ferry to the Statue of Liberty. You ain't seen no lines, until you see NYC lines for attractions. Lines don't rival Disney's lines, the make them look weeny..... The line for Mission Space can't compete with the wrap around the blocks line for the Empire State building. They line up two hours before they even get their ticket!!! Disney in the 70s..... :badpc: :badpc:

Nite, I'm done.

Kristine, I swear that for the three years that I got a massage every week, I was not sick at all. No colds, bronchitis, no loss of voice, nothing except an occasional migraine. I do realize that it was not a cure all but it was probably just the feeling of being taken care of and could also have a time that we both could vent while she was giving me the massage.

Terry

I belive it...I would love a massage every week!

:rotfl2: I am laughing because I tried to explain this to Bill...like 4 times...he is looking at me like I am crazy!

There were just a ton of sirens getting close to my house - they sounded like they were getting close

sure enough - they are on my street - around the bend and I don't know anyone up there - they did not come in through my street - they went the back way - I can't tell if they are blocking my street or on it - but I saw 3 firetrucks and 2 ambulances

right before they got here and I can't remember if it was a minute or 5 - a car or truck came barrelling through - I am not sure if it would have been a first responder or maybe an accident that is being responded to - I don't know anyone who lives up there - it is sort of a divided area around a bend - I walked out but couldn't see anything - or maybe someone's house got hit by lightning - I don't see any smoke - and the storm passed a while ago

Hey Marti

:wave2: Wow Everyone has been chatty. I have been trying to get my house in order. And deal with some personal problems. Way too many packrats in this house. Now my mom is coming to visit for Easter and she's a clean freak last time she visited, she was trying to put the toys away while the kids were playing with them. So I haven't been able to post in awhile.
:wizard: for all the sick people. It's been a rough year for illnesses, the baby and I have had strep twice this past month. Hopefully, with spring the illnesses will slow down.
I almost have DH convinced on a trip to WDW for the free dining this fall. We have to wait til April 4 as we don't have a Disney Visa and price POR. We're looking at Sept. 30-Oct. 7 or 8. Good luck to all those with trips coming up.
Jo I'm glad your garage sale was a success, I wanted to come today but church ran over and oldest DS had to be back at church early for choir rehearsal, I wasn't sure of the hours for the sale. :guilty: Maybe, we can still meet sometime before you move.
Denise It's nice to see your kids in your sig. again. I hope you are able to get all your ADR's for your fall trip now that you switched. :goodvibes
Tia I would move near family. My DH and I moved out here from IA in the middle of my 2nd pregnancy for his business with my oldest only being 1 and a half. I had left all my friend I had for years and never made any friends here and it's been 7 years. I miss having anyone like my mom or sis to help with the kids so I could get away for a day. With DH working long hours I've often felt very alone, the depression every fall/winter (rainy season) doesn't help. :sad2: I think it helps to have friends and family nearby when you need it. Just a thought don't know if it helps. :confused3

Well, my posting party has come to an end. I'm going back to bed. Somehow I've gotten myself sick! I hope Clare didn't airmail it to me!!! Very bad sore throat and my face hurts (yep - I know - its killing all of you!!)

See you tomorrow

Oh no another lurgy! I hope I'm not spreading this around - go to bed and get lots of sleep - and more dole whips should help the healing process!

So Kevin just casually told me he mentioned the Disboards to Courtney last night, as he was telling her who party guests were...he didn't share our username, but he thinks he mentioned the t-shirt thread. I seriously doubt she will ever find my comments, but if a new poster suddenly starts attacking me, it's all Kevin's fault!!! ;)

Amy :)

I'm just going to jump in & update.
The G-Sale went GREAT.
Saturdays sales = 512.00
Sundays sales = 249.00
Total = 761.00
Ad - 18.00
Grand Total = $743.00
:cheer2: :Pinkbounc
I wanted to get 2 little tv's for the bedrooms, end table, coffee table,
2 bar stools, 1 table lamp, & 1 floor lamp.
I have enought to get all. :thumbsup2
I haven't touch any of my savings.
I'm so proud of myself.

I still have some very nice Disney stuff left over.
To nice just to go to the Goodwill.

XDH wants to have another 1 before we move.
I'm not sure??
Maybe, I really don't want to do E-bay.

Well I'm back on page 1020.
Going back to catch up.

WTG Jo :thumbsup2

You know if you have a lot of Disney stuff then ebay might be the way to go - as you could point us all to the auction, it's easier for us to look that way than drop by your yard sale!

Stinky Pete would be hilarious! I thought Disney sold the adult BoPeep last year. I know they sell the kids Woody and Jesse. The Buzz costume is SO HOT is the only problem. Rees would swelter in it, so I may have to still come up with something else.

Could you make him a cooler version of the suit somehow... says the girl who cannot sew a stitch and that is probably a really difficult thing to do!

Thanks! It was actually a pretty big book...10 x 7. Some of the characters really filled up his/her page and others signed small (probably thinking I was going to add a picture or something later).

Amy :)

:wave2: I've not seen them all yet but I  the one of Alyssa holding Mickey's nose and kissing it.

And the CMs love your daughter! I have never seen so many continual shots of people with each character, when you watch it on slide show it's almost like a movie!

Looks like you all had a blast

I guess I should just get to my original thought, which was that I could really use prayers and pixie dust for the wisdom to make the right decision. I guess I shoul throw "and quickly" in there too. If we're going to go, I would really love if we could be there before the baby was born in Dec. Plus, (to being it on topic a little bit ;) ) I've got plane tickets for Disney to buy! :teeth: I can't very well buy plane tickets until I know where I'll be flying out of.

Thanks to anyone who actually made it this far through the post! (I get a little rambly when I'm stressed or tired and I'm pretty much both right now so I guess you're all out of luck tonight.

Don't be embarrased to share - that's what we're here for. I'm sending lots of :wizard: and :grouphug: that you are able to come to a decision that will best suit your family - and that the dream job comes along very soon :wizard:

Hey - if you could at least help me get it out of the box - that will be an improvement!!!!

Well that's an easy lesson...

Ok Marti - first you locate the box (have you stashed it in the attic?)

Then you undo the tape holding the lid shut

Lift the flaps

Lift out the machine - might need a hand from Paul to do this if there's lots of packaging holding it snug in the box

Put it on a table - and remove the packaging

Then locate the instructions... grab a dole whip float... put your feet up and read the instructions and then await Ellen's first lesson :rolleyes1:

Don't you have them??!?!?!?! How would you know if severe weather was coming?!?!

The sound like a fog horn continuously blowing but they turn around as they blow so it has the same effect as a siren would

Thanks for the explanation - I was going to ask the same question too. We don't have any kind of weather sirens over here - when we do have "extreme" weather we usually just get warned its coming on the news. Luckily we don't have tornados very often.
