Hello all...

I feel just  awful today. I think I caught something from this waterpark trip. Every bone in my body hurts & my stomach is just killing me....

Marti...I hope this week is better for you. This family needs time to heal...and a lot of time I'm afraid.

Jen...In laws are a strange breed that's for sure!!!

Kristine

Feel better soon! :wizard:

I just can't imagine your heart break. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can be more helpful to this family in the coming weeks??

Just be there for anything they might ask of you. I'm sure they know how willing you are to do anything possible. The hardest thing was sorting and giving away his "stuff." You might offer to help with that. Time is the best healer.

I think the only one around here who would do really well on a test is Kate the Queen and I am certain she keeps file folders on all of us. :rotfl2:

Becky
She probably has bigger files than the FBI....:rotfl:

OMG, all of you stop! Like four posts in a row. I hope I AM sick, seriously! You're freaking me out :rotfl: Luckily, you have good timing. I shouldn't have to worry long.

The pregnancy test I used for DS lets you know 5 days before your missed period............. ;)

That's funny. Ours don't go ahead until next weekend. I didn't know we did it at different times. :confused3

I cannot even imagine what that was like. :grouphug: :grouphug:

I was pretty numb, and sort of like "it's not happening, he'll be okay" - that sort of thing. What added to the horror was that when the paramedics are called, the police also arrive. I had an L-shaped living room and dining room, and while the paradmedics were working on my husband, a policeman stood in the dining room arch, just watching. Made me feel like they thought I had tried to kill him or something. It really bothered me.

I can't imagine it - and I bet you will never forget it. I'll be there for whatever she needs, but it never seems like enough. Makes me appreciate my little corner of the world a little more. With that said - its family time - we're going to watch Extreme Home Makeover together . See you all later!

I love that show!! we're just about to get season 2! - shame we can't do shows like this in Britain, we're not good at being that nice - people think it's mushy!! plus we never have the money - our version of Extreme Makeover is painfully bad - a haircut, a duct tape facial and a new eyeliner! oh well!

Sending :wizard: and hugs to :grouphug: to Denise and Marti and your families. It is so tough to lose someone you love. Life is precious and you never know when it is going to end. Make sure to never leave angry at someone and always remember to say I love you.

Three(or four, depending on how you look at it) reccent examples of this, these have all happened within the past week and a half to people in my life

* A family friend's BIL reccently died of a heart attack at 34 years old. He left behind three kids under the age of 7. He had no insurance and Mom was staying at home with the yougest who is about 9 months old.

*An employee across the hallway where I work, went to a bar to see some college friends. He had a feeling he shouldn't go, but he wanted to see his friends. He went he was there for a little while. He doesn't know what happened all he knows is that he told someone he didn't need an ambulance. They said they could see his skull. Speculation is he got hit on the back of the head with a beer bottle and fell and cracked the front of his head open.

He ended up with a concussion, got 10 stitches in his head and has absolutely no idea what happened. He is the nicest person and never one to start anything. The thought is he might have stepped in between two people who were starting a fight. But no one has any idea what happened. :confused3

*One of my Brownies' Grandmothers died on Thursday at the hospital, on Saturday her Grandfather died at home . They were husband and wife, the Grandmother had a stroke last week and the grandfather just died of old age.

Please rememeber to give your kids and families a hug and call those friends you haven't talked to in awhile. As for those of you who are having MIL problems please don't let them stress you out and upset you. Life is too short for that. Afterall without them you would have never had your DH.

:grouphug: to all of the DDA's and their families.

Well, yes I do. I can't wait to be a few years older, settled into a routine, and with babies to worry about.

But I'm starting a new job in July. So is DH. Right now we have zero income that isn't to be repaid. We have a pre-approval for a mortgage based on both of our salaries for the next few years, not just one or one and a half of them.

I want kids, but not until I can stay at home with them as much as feasible. And I have a home to stay in. And some money to support them. Until DH is closer to being out of residency (both from a financial standpoint, and a family standpoint), kids would be a really bad move right about now.

The truth of the matter is, I have "wanted a baby" since my friend had one at 16. But I've also known that there are some things that should be in place, if at all possible, before that happens. I still feel that way, and I don't feel like those "things are in place" to where we are ready.

Just my opinion, but I wanted to clarify since I did make that comment just a few weeks ago. :goodvibes

ETA: Just to avoid hearing about the reality of things, I am aware that sometimes life cannot be planned out. If and when we are blessed with children, we will be thrilled. We're just also trying to be responsible about the whole thing, since it's sort of a big deal ;)

Jen, they COULD be right, but perhaps you're just overly fatigued because of the stress of the weekend. Mental stress is VERY tiring.

I'm sure they are not your standard paper file folder. You probably have some elaborate database system. Or perhaps a file holding bag. :lmao:
